She was off-limits. A witness. A victim. And achingly beautiful. With a shiny new badge clipped to Special Agent Nick Clark’s belt, he thought he could save the world or at least protect those he loved.A sadistic serial killer proved him wrong. The only way to keep Meadow Holiday safe was to break the rules, keep her close, and claim her as his own. He had no business falling in love in the middle … falling in love in the middle of an investigation. But she’s the one, he can feel it deep in his bones.
The sexy FBI agent was everything Meadow ever dreamed of having, but knew she’d never get. Nick’s charm was irresistible, and the first time he kissed her, she’d stupidly fell in love. He promised her a fairytale where a strong and handsome hero saves the scared and scarred girl.
Just when Nick breaks down the fortress Meadow has built to protect herself and pushes through her doubts – it’s too late.
The villain in their story has come for her.
Saving Meadow is a full-length romantic suspense novel – a bonus chapter of Free – A black ops romance (Lenox book 1) is included for your consideration.

This is the third book I’ve read by Riley Edwards and I really enjoy her writing style. All the Pretty Girls had a ton of suspense, action, and humor. I figured out who did it pretty quick but it was fun watching the investigation unfold. All the Pretty Girls sucked me in from the start, reading nearly a third of it in one sitting. If you like romantic suspense with strong male characters and dogs then pick up All the Pretty Girls and enjoy the ride.
There is a serial killer on the loose…one that has been silent for a few years but is back. There is one survivor of this killer and her name is Meadow. This story had me hooked from the very beginning. The raw emotions and strength of Meadow as she has tried to rebuild her life, after her near fatal attack, was so well written. Meadow’s hope hinges on help from Special Agent Nick Clark. Now Nick did not previously know who Meadow was, but he has seen her at their favorite coffee shop and was interested. He also did not know that their lives would become intertwined in this complicated pursuit of a serial killer. Nick is falling in love with Meadow and will do his best to protect her as the killer seems to be targeting her. Meadow tries everything to remember what happened during her attack and finally comes up with a crucial piece of evidence. After this, I had some suspicions on who might be the serial killer, but Ms. Edwards threw me a curve and added an ending that I did not see coming. I don’t usually read books with a serial killer storyline, but the suspenseful plot and characters made this a mystery well worth the read. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to give an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)
This is the first book that I have ever read by this author. I really enjoyed this book. I would put this as a suspense with a bit of an edge. I felt like I was reading an episode of Criminal Minds. This usually isn’t a genre that I would one click, but I did enjoy Meadow and Nick’s story. Dual point of view. I am not going to spoil the book with details. No cliffhanger.
Nick has been haunted by a case where a serial killer has a hobby as a butcher. Then he meets the injured Meadow. Their strong when together.
Meadow has wanted Nick from afar. When they finally meet – its like fate had made it happen. The future will be brighter if they can solve the mystery that no one else can.
Seriously intense, this book has you pulled in from the very first page. I could not put it down myself. The story has a pretty quick pace, and moves along giving us all both goosebumps and a great new series to sink our teeth into.
***This early copy was given in exchange for an honest review.
ALL THE PRETTY GIRLS by Riley Edwards is an exceptional start to her Next Generation series of Romantic suspense books to follow her 707 Freedom series. This book is easily read as a standalone even though the characters from the previous series do pop up. It is not difficult to follow their relationship to Nick and it does not confuse the reader, but makes you want to go back and read that series, also.
Meadow Holiday cannot hide the scar on her face after a vicious attack that has turned her into a solitary person who hides from life. She believes she is no longer desirable. Since her attack, she has kept only one friend at work and one friend on-line in a survivors chat room. Her boss daily ridicules and belittles her for her appearance, so Veronica Venus, in the chat room, has become her outlet to let off steam and go-to for solace.
Special Agent Nick Clark works in the Behavior Analysis Unit of the FBI. He has a knack for seeing things outside of the box even though he is the youngest member of the team. After a break of four years, a serial killer profiled by Nick’s unit is back and killing again. The victims are all beautiful young women found in alleys with their faces mutilated.
Meadow is terrified when she learns the killer is active again. Nick is surprised the beautiful redhead he has been intrigued by at his coffee shop is the original victim who survived her attack all those years ago. Nick knows he will have a battle ahead convincing Meadow she is still beautiful inside and out and that he is not interested in her only to catch the killer. The killer has other plans for Meadow.
Nick and Meadow are such great characters. Nick is all around swoon worthy and he trains service dogs for vets. Love him! Meadow starts out with such low self-esteem, but the author brings her around with Nick’s belief in her and his love. The romance is believable and the sex scenes are hot. This is a page turner, even though I easily figured out the suspense plot. The characters are so vivid, you cannot help but cheer them on to their HEA. I cannot wait for more books in this series!
This is the first book in the Next Generation series. This is the kids of the 707. If you haven’t read that series yet, that’s okay. Nick is introduced in the fourth book, Freedom. We get the story of how, and why, he came to live with his Uncle Nolan when he was eleven. I do suggest you read that series, but this is a standalone, so you don’t have to read it first.
Nick is all grown up now. He’s with the FBI’s BAU. He didn’t exactly follow in his uncle’s footsteps.
A serial killer from his first case is back at it again!
Meadow has been through a lot. She was attacked a few years ago. That attack has left her scarred. She’s bullied at work and basically has no self esteem anymore.
That is until Nick. His investigation leads him to her.
Nick is great with her. She really changes, for the better because of him.
I did know who was doing everything right away. I figured the twist also.
This is a very good read though. It kept, and held, my attention all the way through. The characters are great and loveable.
After the epilogue, I can’t wait for the next book!
This book is amazing!!! This is the beginning of the Next Generation series, we met and fell in love with their daddies in 707 Freedom Series. Now all those babies are grown up and it’s time for their stories.
If you love Who dunnits, with an FBI- BAU flair then you will absolutely love this book! There is so much to love from the banter between Nick and his co-workers, the attraction between Nick and Meadow, the appearance of the “Uncles”, the murder investigation and the hot so hot sex scenes- you will not put this book down!
Great FBI thriller from this new to me author. The book has plenty of action and yes there is a romance going on which is tender and eased into. The hot FBI guy is chasing a serial killer and falls for the only surviving victim. There are plenty of twist and turns along with a great plot and wonderful cast of characters. Meadow and Nick each have their own issues, Nick with the patience of a saint helps Meadow with her stuff. Nick has his own calvary that comes to his rescue and helps him get his head out of his butt. They have a lot to work through along with a strong family dynamic and support.
The author does a great job of balancing all of the characters and the plot. There are a couple of twist and great action. I love this authors style and will most definitely be reading more.
Nicholas Clark is the son of Nolan and Reagan, who we meet in the 707 series. Nick is the first of the next generation and I can’t wait to read about the kids and their lives!
Nick becomes a FBI Special Agent and immediately goes to work for their BAU department. His very first case is a serial killer killing women and mutilating their faces. The case goes cold and a few years later the killer comes back.
Meadow Holiday is a victim of a brutal attack. Her face is scared and she is left unable to have a child. Since the attack, Meadow is scared and unsure of herself as a woman.
I love that Nick is a strong, yet understanding and caring man. I loved that he helped Meadow see her true worth and that she is not only beautiful on the outside despite the scar, but beautiful inside. The transformation of Meadow into becoming a stronger person.
I loved Nick and Meadow’s story because it was beautiful and well written. I can’t wait for the other books of the series!
Special Agent Nick Clark’s first case is gruesome and becomes a cold case. Meadow Holiday, a scarred withdrawn woman, fantasizes about the hot-looking man she sees in the coffee shop. After five years, that first case returns and lands Meadow right in the thick of things. Nick will do anything to protect her, even from herself. Add to the mixture a service dog named Sally that becomes attached to Meadow, and the story is a page-turner, suspenseful, romantic wonder. The characters are complex and believable. Wow, a great start to The Next Generation series.
A serial killer on the lose and Nick just entered the FBI. 4 yrs. and 11 victims later the killer strikes again. This time the FBI can identify Meadow, but what no one could have known at this time – she should have been the first victim and only survived by pure luck. A very intense story that will keep you occupied.
This book grabs you from the beginning. I hadn’t read anything by Riley Edwards before so I wasn’t sure what I was getting into but wow! The budding relationship between young FBI agent Nick and introvert Meadow, a previous attack survivor, is tested as they navigate the return of a brutal serial killer targeting young women. Riley Edwards takes the reader through both Nick and Meadow’s point of view in this romantic thriller giving you just enough clues to have you yelling at the book and cheering for the good guys. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely by reading the next book in the series!
Another winner by Riley
Wow, the more books I read of Riley’s, the more addicted and engrossed I get in her stories and keep smacking myself and questioning why I waited so long to read any of her booksNot smacking myself now because I’m writing this review for Nick and Meadow
Nick gets hired on by the FBI after graduating and his first case is a whopper. Four years later this same case still sits unsolved, until another string of murders gives them a chance to reinvestigate and update their profile on the murderer. This also leads Nick to Meadow, the woman he’s secretly admired and wanted to get to know at his local coffee shop
A great story and I can’t wait to see what happens to Ethan
OMG, you this like the best books ever… Just because people don’t know that what happened in someones life that left them scared for but no matter what people should not put them down for something had no control over… Like Nick told Meadow ” you are beautiful inside and outside” no matter what… I am really looking forward to the next book
The premise of this book is dark and scary because it deals with a serial killer. The two main characters; Nick Clark and Meadow Holuday are quite remarkable. The way in which he truly saw Meadow was uplifting. He’s definitely one of the good guys. As Meadow slowly emerges from the walls she’s erected, you just want to root her on. Riley Edwards kept me guessing as to wh9 the serial killer was and then threw in a twist. Goid stuff!
Saving Meadow is a fantastic romantic suspense by Riley Edwards. Ms. Edwards has given readers a well-written book. The characters are outstanding and my favorite part of the book. Nick is an FBI agent in the Behavioral Analysis Unit and the Butcher has started killing again. Meadow was attacked and now lives a lonely life. Meadow and Nick’s story is packed with drama, humor, action, spice and suspense. This is a book that once you start it, you can’t put it down. I enjoyed every page and look forward to my next book by Riley Edwards. Saving Meadow is book 1 of The Next Generation Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
When I read this book it was titled as Saving Meadow but has since been renamed All the Pretty Girls. I really enjoyed this romantic suspense/thriller. Nick Clark has been with the FBI since he graduated and he’s the youngest member of his team. They have been searching for a local serial killer for years but they kept coming up dry. It’s 4 years since the last killing and they have started up again. Nick is going back to the beginning. He and his team have tracked down the killer’s first victim that survived her attack. Mercy Holiday is a survivor. She doesn’t see herself that way. Most days she’s just trying to get through the hours. Nick was surprised when he met Mercy that she was the same pretty girl that he always sees at the coffee shop. He wanted to meet her but she seemed unapproachable and now he knows why. These two work together in a race against time before the killer gets another girl on his monthly timetable. Nick also wants to help Mercy see how amazing she is and that she’s a survivor not a victim. I loved this book and I recommend it to all romantic suspense fans. It’s told from dual POV. There’s tension, heartbreak, heat and redemption and I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
I have read this book by Riley Edwards and would recommend this series to books to everyone.
What an amazing book!!! ALL the feels! pefection
