SAVING MARS is book one in a series with the same title. It’s science fiction with a dystopian flare.
The main character, Jessamyn, is one of the best pilots on Mars. Mars is starving and, during a raid on earth for food, Jess’s brother is captured.
SAVING MARS is a fun adventure. The characters are memorable and the author has created a …
While the book is based around the actions of a single teenage girl from Mars, there is a good deal of hard science and background development. It is well worth reading.
I got this first book free…but then purchased the entire series. It’s a fun YA/Sci-Fi romp with good characters and a good story line that keeps you coming back for more. No sex and no fowl language…which I really appreciate.
While some of the story line was less than consistent…most of was really great, enjoyable, and interesting. …
Good little book fun to read!
Jessamyn is an intuitive flyer and takes chances that the autopilot sounds alarms and reports over. Somehow she impresses the leader of Mars Colony and get the dream job of piloting one of two ships to earth to pirate much needed rations.
They must pirate them because relations between earth and mars have deteriorated to the point that mars is …
What this author does with the pen is almost a crime. She writes so well about the characters and the scenes that you feel you are there with them. Cidney really makes them seem you know them and share their thoughts. Realistic and hopeful that they can do what they came to do and live to see the events to the end.
Good science fiction read.
I started out with the first free book and because of the good rating it received I decided to buy two more. It was very interesting. I enjoyed that it was suitable for young adults (even though I’m a senior!). I didn’t have to skip over foul language or an abundance of sexually explicit scenes, or references. It was so refreshing and unique that …
Really enjoyed this story. A strong brother sister team evolves and their individual strength is discovered.
Really felt the ‘what would it be like to live in a world’ in both locations. Great start to a series. Look forward to the next.
Launching point to a fun new series.
I think the author did a good job with details. I teach space science so I liked how she incorporated differences in gravity and other details. I also liked how her brother seemed to think what happened to him was a good thing.
It was an easy read. The detail are mars was informative, and made sense.
Looking forward to more from this author. Great writing, great sci-fi !Reminds me of Lindsay Buroker who is one of my favorite authors.
Can a teenage girl on Mars save the Mars colonists from future starvation after their reserve food stocks are damaged in a fire? As a pilot in training can she rocket all the way to Earth to trade for more rations with a black-market Scotsman? Oh did forget to mention that relations with earth is not favorable.
This is a hot page-turner in …
I read this book years ago it is awesome. There are more in the series you will want to read. They too are good.
Enjoyed the book, would make a good juvenile series.

This was a good read, interesting plot, lots of action and great characters. I really couldn’t put it down. The characters were very interesting, leaving you want more. It was fast paced and engaging.
Well-written story. Might be aimed at teens/young adults, but unlike a lot of stuff out there the adults here are useful, reasonable, rational, and interesting (rather than boring, unintelligent, unobservant, and innocuous.
Well-researched and well-paced. I got the sense that the author understood some significant differences between Mars and …
This is a good book for those who like a good Syfi story.
