Saving Jessie is the well-written second book in the Safe and Secure series and has well-crafted characters that grow through the book. The characters are broken but have great chemistry, he learns he needs her. A must read cannot wait to read more by this Author and this is the first book I have read by her.

This book confused me a bit at first, it started off with action right away.. It seemed like a continuation of a series to me, and that it was meant to be read as a series. But I figured things out pretty quick. This is actually the second book in the Safe and Secure series and I’ll definitely be going back to read book one.
Jessie finds herself in hot water when her past comes back to haunt her. It doesn’t help that her often in trouble brother Kip has dragged her into another problem. She decides she’s going to solve it herself and leave boyfriend Mark and his associates at the security company out of it. But she soon realizes that she is in way over her head, and her “caveman” friends will have to help.
This book contains elements of power exchange. If that’s not for you, then be aware before you read this book.
This book by Alyssa Bailey was definitely about an extremely stubborn woman who continually puts others in harm’s way while attempting to keep her brother and herself alive, while NOT making the best choices in doing so. The male characters practice or threaten to practice, domestic discipline on all the women in their immediate “family” circle, whether related by blood, marriage or not at all. It is also a very intense action-adventure combined with a little mystery, combined with a lot of erotic romance resulting from some very red and sore bare-bottomed women who are extremely turned on by the heat in their seat, as are the men who create the heat. I am definitely looking forward to more adventures from this security group, and from the author. Jessie and Mark are now dating each other as well as working together. Mark hasn’t wanted to be serious with anyone until he met Jessie and now he just wants to make sure she is safe and protected. Her brother is involved in something that pulls her into the mess with him. When A safety protocol she has is used its what saves both her and her brother the first time they were attacked. The gang gets together to figure out what’s going on even though Jessie tries to hide back information they manage to get it out of her. Will Mark show her that she can count on him? Will the threat be taken out?
This is an amazing story once I started it I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

A lot is going on. The Feds, Treasury Dept. three Crime Bosses and an ex employee. To many bosses to make things smooth. It is a mad house waiting to explode and it did. Very good story. I need to see if I can find some of the first ones and read them. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.

Jessie works as the company accountant. Mark is all about one night stands and not getting involved. That is until he meets Jessie and wants more. Will Jessie let Mark help her when things go to crap with her brother or keep him in the dark as things go from bad to worse?

This is the first book in this series that I’ve read. It does stand as a standalone, but I noticed that I felt like I was missing some of the color in the dynamics between all of the characters. I have a few mixed reactions to this book. I loved the story. I adored all the twists and intrigues and double-crosses. Mark checks every box I have for dominant protective military alpha male – I loved him absolutely to bits. Jessie made me want to reach into the book and shake her. Repeatedly. This woman took “too stupid to live” way too far, way too many times. I’m all for an independent female lead, but when she’s constantly putting her safety at risk, and the safety of the people who are protecting her, that’s a step to far for me. I really like the rest of their supporting cast, so I’m very interested in reading more.

I liked Jessie and Mark’s story. The plot was interesting and the characters likable. Drama, tension, emotion, danger, excitement and heat are woven throughout the entertaining story line. I do think you would have a better reading experience if you read book one first.
It started off fast, furious and filled with heat as Mark and his team responded to Jessie’s alert. Their initial rescue was quick, but not before her brother was seriously shot and Jessie, beaten and almost raped.
I couldn’t quite get into the storyline as the writing style was more of a telling than showing. Fast but uneven pacing with lots of moving parts and multiple characters other than the main couple detracted from the storyline. The spanking punishment that was a mandatory must for Mark was a bit odd and did not really add anything to their scenes.
