Eden: Josh Evans and I have been best friends forever. He knows all my secrets, and I know all of his. So when he randomly asks me to help him lose his virginity, I sort of flip out. That’s a question that sends your mind to places you’ve seriously never considered before. Like, you know. Having sex. With your best friend. Except Josh doesn’t want to have sex with me–he wants me to help him find … help him find a girl. A nice girl who’s funny and smart and cute. Except he already knows a girl just like that…
Josh: Eden Sumner is my best friend. So of course she’d be the person to help me find my perfect match, so I can drop my V card before I head off to college. Except the more we search, the more I realize that maybe the right girl has been by my side all along. I don’t need Eden’s help in finding me a girl to love. I’m pretty sure I’m already in love with Eden. But now she thinks I’m only after one thing…with anyone but her.
Disclaimer: This Entangled Teen Crush book is what happens when American Pie meets Friends with Benefits. It contains two best friends, plenty of angst, and lots and lots of sex talk. Reading this might have you looking at your best friend in a different light!

Oh, the trials and tribulations of high school. Eden and Josh have been best friends for years. When Josh wants help to pick a girl to lose his virginity, well, Eden steps up as the best friend that she is. Of course, what she really wants is for him to pick her. This is a fabulous ‘friends to lovers’ romance with all the angst, drama and doubt … that fear that if you say you want more you will ruin a beautiful friendship. I love how Monica Murphy blends the challenges of growing up, struggling to find where you fit with the added pressure of being in a relationship. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
Josh and Eden have been best friends for years. When he decides that he’s tired of still carrying his v-card, he asks Eden to help him choose a girl to lose it to. This project shows both of them that there is more to their relationship than purely friendship.
I labolsultely love best friends to lovers stories. The basis of the relationship has already been built but there’s always the “am I sure I want to take the risk” present. Josh and Eden have an amazing friendship and it would be devastating to both of them to lose it but their other friends have seen what they haven’t for a long time: they are *perfect* for each other. This YA take on my favorite trope was an adorable read. I loved these characters and am really hoping that some of the others also get their stories told.
In Saving It by New York Times, USA Today bestselling author and #1 international bestselling author Monica Murphy, two best friends attempt to help each other with losing their innocence. That shouldn’t be too hard, right? Well maybe if one of them knew what they were doing, but they are both new to the game and their journey to lose it leads them to some unexpected places and feelings.
Josh Evans is enlisting the help of his longtime friend Eden Sumner to help him lose his virginity. At first Eden is confused and doesn’t understand how she can help him, until he clarifies how exactly he needs her help. Little does Josh know Eden might need help in that department as well. Lines are crossed and boundaries are broken. Can Eden and Josh’s friendship stand strong, or will losing their virginity prove to be too much for these friends to handle?
I loved and enjoyed this one so much. I was hooked right away with Eden’s inner monologue. I really loved Josh and Eden’s relationship, they were super cute and so perfect for one another.
I also loved the writing style of Monica Murphy and how she let this story play out. I adore a friends to lovers storyline and to me this was a perfect example of it. I liked how it had a dual POV because always reading the female or male POV can kind of get old and this was super refreshing. Definitely a great read that you don’t want to miss. FOUR flirty wonderful stars.
Saving It, takes the unconventional route to romance. Ms. Murphy paves her own way with a often explored theme adds a bit of a twist. Love, friendship and virginity are explored through the eyes of teenage angst and adult themed narration. Get out of your head, listen to your heart and take a chance on a true original.
