I wanted to ask for a divorce.Instead of the fight I expected, she agreed—with a few stipulations, all of which revolved around our son leaving for college in the fall. Keeping those promises would be a challenge, no doubt. But all I had to do was uphold my end of the deal then walk away without a backward glance. Somewhere along the way, our charade became my reality. With each day that passes, …
With each day that passes, I realize time is once again my enemy. I can’t lose her a second time. I’ll never walk away—she healed my soul.
Saving Grace is now my only hope.

Grace is dealing with personal issues but the biggest blow is discovering her husband Blake’s betrayal. When he asks for a divorce she gives him an ultimatum to stay just until their son, a high school senior, leaves for college. He agrees, hoping the time will go by quickly.
As they start to spend time together as a family, Blake begins to realize all that he’s missed out on while immersed with work & his side piece & sees the love, time, & energy Grace has spent with their son throughout the years has groomed him to be an amazing teen who fiercely loves his mom. He starts to fall in love with Grace all over again & knows what a horrible & unforgivable mistake he made. He has to convince Grace that he’s changed & make her fall in love with him again. But when he makes a shocking discovery about Grace, it’s now his turn to give her all the affection, time & love he should have given her all these years.
Blake was someone you truly hated & despised in the beginning. He’s a selfish jerk who never thought about the consequences of his actions & decisions. Only thinking about himself who loved the feeling of being wanted & admired by another woman. This is the only book I’ve read where the cheater truly redeems himself. He struggles with guilt as to what he’s done to his family, what he did to his beautiful & faithful Grace, blind to see that she’s going through her own personal crisis by herself. He did everything he could to show & prove to Grace he’s committed, loves her deeply & will never betray their family again. This was a really great read about forgiveness and redemption. Looking forward to reading more from this author!
OMGosh! This book wrecked me! It was SO MUCH MORE than what I expected! It was gritty, raw and emotional. It had me in tears, spouts of laughter and had me reeling in all the feels with every chapter!
*** “Loving you is as natural as breathing, Grace. I finally get it, what my life is all about. It’s you. You’re the only one I can’t live without, and you were the one I was living without. That’s why I couldn’t find real happiness.”
Ugh! I so wanted to hate Blake! And I did, in the beginning, but somehow he not only found forgiveness and redemption with Grace, but with me as the reader as well! Something I didn’t expect given the circumstance! The author did this gradually and in a way that made me love him in the end.
*** Reconnecting with Grace heals the brokenness inside me.
The characters are amazing! I love Kyle, he is a great son and loves his mother fiercely! And Leigh is my girl! She’s everything a best friend should be! I loved her with and how much she loves Grace and is there for her.
The story is so much more than you’d expect. It’s about love, faith, hope, redemption, sacrifice and healing. Highly recommend!
Saving Grace…how sweet the sound. I’ve read it so I know she is pretty amazing. (I am allowed to make bad and corny jokes because it’s how I cope.)
While I was plotting evil tricks and juvenile responses, Grace was using her calm to strike a deal. While she was thinking of others and the future, I was thinking of right now. My mind came up with instantly gratifying situations to deal with one if my deepest fears…a love lost.
It’s probably cliche to say I want to be Grace when I grow up…since I’m already older than she is. But I want the strength of character that she has and honestly, I’m jealous. She is a beautiful person through and through. Is she a saint? No but she I put in a nomination.
Life is a series of choices. Saving Grace should be one of yours. It’s sweet, charming, and heartbreaking. It’s trust lost, love hiding, and time fleeing. It’s about learning to love again. Its about learning yourself again. Too many of us drift…through life, our marriages, and parenting.
Saving Grace has such a great meanings. Meanings- yes, you read that correctly. You just have to take my word and snotty tears for it. (Don’t pretend you are above the snot bubble tears. Even with AD Justice laughing at you, you can’t deny that it happens. Though no pictures were taken so there is no proof.- Thankfully! It’s hard enough to live down telling everyone but pictures of snot bubbled, red eyed Becky with puffy face and tears….yeah, no thanks. My dignity is already pretty sad.) Seriously, I was a mess. So heads up…

Chicks named Tammy, proceed with caution!
Just remember, I warned you. Because it’s called Saving Grace…I don’t have to save you. Just warn you…
Lines maybe drawn in the sand but winds and lines can change. Life is never what we plan but what we make of it. Because why not?
I really enjoyed this book. I really liked the characters- especially Grace. I liked how Blake worked for his redemption. Overall, Saving Grace was a really good book, and I will definitely look for more books by AD Justice.
On the verge of a divorce, Grace presents her husband with a proposition. A proposition greatly benefiting him and their seventeen-year old son. Her career as a nurse has prepared her for many things but not the unchartered waters she finds herself in.
Blake loved his wife though his marriage has lost it’s shine. The only way he can see out is by asking for a divorce though he’s blown away with Grace’s proposal.
This is a hard review to write only because of the earnestness of the story and the emotional ride I was taken on, the chords striking deep within me. I loved the story and was immediately invested in it. I laughed and I cried throughout the entire read.
I loved Grace’s dignity while trudging through the betrayal she experienced and the basic strength she showed throughout the story. Even in her weakest moments, she was still graceful under pressure. I’ll admit, it took me a while to warm-up to Blake because of where his character was mentally and emotionally when the story began. By the end, my opinion of him greatly changed when I saw his devotion to his family and his renewed endeavors toward making his marriage his priority.
I have read all of this author’s works and have been a fan of them all, however, I have to say this one tops the list. I have no doubts this will be a favorite of many and will resonate with me for a long time to come. I highly recommend this book and be sure to have the tissues ready.
AD Justice is one of the authors that I would one click no matter what and she doesn’t disappoint with this book.
Saving Grace is a heartbreaking story. Grace and Blake fell in love in high school. He was a senior and she was a junior. She became pregnant while in high school. Like all marriages the spark disappears.
In the beginning of the story I hated Blake he was self centered and was ready to end his marriage. Grace life revolves around her son, Kyle like all mothers.
The story is written in Grace, Blake’s and Kyles point of view and it makes the story complete. We just to hear everyone view. I have to say it took me a little bit longer to read this book because I couldn’t stop crying. A great way to start the New Year and make your Why Not List, I’m making one now. The story also moves me to continue to walk and support The Race for the Cure. A story that a pull at your heartstrings and have you fall in love with all the characters. A must read!!!
Whatever you do set time aside to begin and finish this book in its entirety or you will be up all night like I was.
Blake comes home ready to ask for a divorce but Grace surprised him asking only to pretend to be happily married till Kyle their son goes to college and then he can have whatever he wants without a fight. Blake agrees but he is waiting for Grace to use her revenge to get back at him but what happens is nothing he saw coming.
This story will test every emotion you possess and make you question a lot of things in your life. I loved this story and I haven’t been emotionally moved in a long time.
