From Whitney Award Winning Author, Michele Paige Holmes, comes SAVING GRACE, a regency romance from the Hearthfire Romance series:
After the death of her grandfather, the Duke of Salisbury, Grace Thatcher wants nothing more than to live quietly in the country with her younger siblings. Her father’s debts thwart those plans, and to protect her sister, Helen, Grace must marry a man of her father’s … Helen, Grace must marry a man of her father’s choosing.
As each suitor proves less than desirable, Grace comes up with clever schemes, causing each to reject her. While staying at the mysterious Sutherland Hall, a middle-of-the-night mishap sends Grace into the arms of a stranger, Nicholas Sutherland — and provides inspiration for her grandest plan yet — one that will leave her reputation in tatters yet free both her and Helen from all possibility of marriage.
Too late Grace regrets her rash actions when her father’s last choice, Mr. Samuel Preston, proves to be a gentleman and a friend. But Samuel is the sworn enemy of Nicholas Sutherland, the man responsible for her “ruin.” Now instead of being free, Grace is caught between two men — each with his own agenda.

Easy summer read at the beach!
Oh, how we humans can get ourselves tied up in knots!!!!!
would definitely recommend
Great book. Michelle does a fantastic job.
Very real characters with happy ending.
This was a good read. I loved the characters and the author explained a family riff pretty well. There was no sex, so you won’t be offended by the kissing. I know the story was about Grace, but my only complaint would be how all of a sudden one of her persuers magically falls in love with her sister. Cute story.
How refreshing to read a historical novel that breaks new ground. From start to finish this book held my delighted interest.
I thoroughly enjoyed and had a hard time putting it down when I had things to do.
I have really enjoyed the Sweet and Clean versions of Devon Royal’s books. I don’t need numerous sex scenes in order to consider a book “romantic”. This book is romantic, interesting, and downright fun to read without all the explicit sex.
A very sweet and romantic read.
So nice to read on a lazy afternoon with my feet up and with the pages turning soooo easy.
Grace- everyone loves Grace! One can’t help but feel sympathy for her as well as wanting to shake your head at her romantic choice, Nicholas. However, there is a hint that her sister was better suited for her first choice….a happily ever after story.
A nice read that ties up neatly. Good character development.
clean read, stubborn characters!
Could have moved a little faster but an interesting read.
Good book
I know there is angst in every book. There has to be because we expect an ending that satisfies, especially if you are ready a historical romance.
I just didn’t get the ‘no one can love me’ repitition from Grace. That may be the underlying reason why she doesn’t feel loveable but it grew old.
I loved the characters, especially her little brother Rowan, and Jewel. All the characters were well-developed with lots of personality. Maybe a conflict was in order with her younger sister, Rose, no matter how close they were.
It’s a good read, just not a GREAT read. I kept wondering what the steamier version had that this one didn’t. And how? Or when?
Still worth your time.
Very enjoyable read from the very beginning. I like the author’s style.
Very enjoyable read. Grace, through circumstances beyond her young self’s control, is propelled into surviving. Every choice she makes is with thought of her siblings. Enter Nicholas Sutherland, who suddenly finds himself caring for and wanting to take care of Grace. The story has some twist and turns but when the story is finished, Awww good story. I will read more of Michele Page Holmes’ books.
I love this series! Very worthwhile to read! And they are clean as well!
