I love this book!!!!! I want to know a Remi
Saving Evangeline is an excellent story.
I loved it.
The characters are so well written. I love ’em all including the dog Goner. I laughed and I cried ,I was saddened then I was happy again.
Remiel is an Angel, who always seems to find himself in trouble. With his discussion with God ,gives learning lessons ,but Remiel considers them punishment.
His new Lesson ? : Saving Evangeline.
Evangeline is a young woman who is attuned to the spiritual unseen,After the death of her lover ,which she blames herself , she has a tendency to have one night stands and never feeling anything about the partner,The town considers here a crazy home wrecking whore. Her mother moves away and Evie’s life is in a downward spiral. With the series of therapists and drugs to help with her condition the pain becomes too much for her to handle.
That is where Remi comes in .Just as she’s about to end it all here comes a Priest, who is the least priestly person Evie has ever met.
Remi to me is a mix of Dean Winchester and Castiel.
Evie is a good person who has made some not so good choices and feels alone and abandoned.
Remi tries to show her that she is good and worthy of love. She needs to let go of the past : Grab Life By The Balls and Live…
I recommend this story to everyone and I give it 5 Black Feather Stars. Well done Nancee Cain.Congratulations!!!!!
I’ll admit to some hesitancy at the start of this one. Considering the subject matter, I expected a rather somber and emotional tale. While it is emotional and there’s absolutely nothing funny about suicide, Nancee Cain creates a quite engaging tale. I cried, I laughed, I ooh’d and ahh’d, and absolutely couldn’t get enough of Remi and Evie. The story is brilliantly done with witty dialogue and and characters that you just can’t help but root for. When a book brings out so many emotions and you’ve turned that last page with the knowledge that it’s one you will gladly revisit, it’s a winner. I don’t know how Cain has stayed off my radar for so long, but she’s certainly one to watch.
Romance in the New Adult genre or with an NA voice isn’t usually my thing, but I absolutely adored this story! Evangeline may be damaged, but she’s no doormat heroine, nor is Remi, her guardian angel disguised as a priest, an alphole hero. He helps her find the power to forgive herself and she helps him appreciate his purpose in the universe all while on a road trip filled with banter, romantic sparks, heart, hope, and more than a few visits from a heavenly-host of memorable side-characters. The darker themes of suicide and self-destruction were perfectly balanced with Remi’s off-the-all brand of humor and unflagging joy. If I had a guardian angel, I’d totally want that angel to be just like Remi.
If you’re looking for humor and heart to go with your steamy romance, this book is for you!
