An enemies-to-lovers romance from USA Today bestselling author Siobhan Davis. Standalone with an HEA and no cliff-hanger.Brad I’m in love with my best friend’s girl. She knows it. He knows it. Everyone knows it.Faye will never be mine, but try telling that to my stupid heart. An endless rotation of girls streams in and out of my bedroom in a desperate attempt to forget her, but nothing eases the … in a desperate attempt to forget her, but nothing eases the horrid ache in my chest. Rejection isn’t anything new for me, but it hasn’t gotten any easier.
Until she reappears in my life. Like an out-of-control tornado. Storming in, all fierce and angry, ready to steamroll everything in her path. Rachel is trouble with a capital T bundled in a gorgeous, sexy, Irish package.
She pushes all the wrong buttons, and I can’t decide if I want to yell at her or kiss her.
I should steer clear.
But I’ve never been very good at taking my own advice. Especially when it comes to girls I can’t have and shouldn’t want.
Rachel
I need to escape.
To put as much distance between me and that monster so I can start living my life.
Yet, even the vast Atlantic Ocean isn’t enough to sever the connection. To allow me to forget how he’s ruined me. His hold is more than just physical. He has a vise grip on my head and my heart, and I can’t breathe, can’t think, can’t function.
So, I do everything to blot it out.
Until he reappears in my life.
Brad McConaughey. So hot. So infuriating. So in love with my best friend.
Every word out of Brad’s mouth makes me want to throat punch him or kick him in the nuts.
But he makes me feel, and I hate him for it. A part of me might actually love him for it.
I should keep my distance, but like destructive magnets, we are drawn together.
This isn’t going to end well.
I know it. He knows it.
But we’re powerless to resist.

Captivating and so amazing!
Wow!! This book was smth that suprised me A LOT! I’m newbie for Mrs. Davis, but I’m sure, my adventure just started!
It is official Boys and Girls – my heart has been conquered! Saving Brad is such a captivating journey. I didn’t want it to end. I adore this story. I’m in love with these characters. I don’t want to leave this world.
Saving Brad left me speechless and so VERY breathless! Rachel, Brad and all. the. feels mixed with amazing banter and chemistry is unforgettable. I adore how author lead their story thru the paiges, how she describe them… and told us the readers – why they are the way, they are!
Brad might look like a bad boy, but he is an amazing friend with a little broken heart. Rachel is no Angel, however she is a perfect match for him. I adore how they react with each other, how they fight, and how strong they love. Their story is far far away from being perfect, butI loved them from the first paiges. It’s like a story about broken boy and and very lonley girl, with one common goal – they just needed to be loved.
I might be starting this series in a little wrong way, but.. I know, I want to know more about every single hero and heroine in this world. Must read alert!
Gripping storyline.
Brad and Rachel I love this pairing they are both very strong characters with there own problems going on. With brad trying to find his way and his family issues and Rachel story line was so gripping to (don’t want to give the plot away) you real felt for them both. This is an amazing story and you still see characters you loved from the previous series.
5/5
It has been a while since I read this wonderful piece, and I forgot to review it after I read it I’m so mad at myself for that
This book is so damn good, just like all the other Kennedy boys books by the best of them all @siobhandavisauthor This time we get to know Brat a bit better, and damn.
He’s in love with his best friend’s girl. He knows Faye will never be his, byt the heart wants what it wants. He turns to easy girls, but does it help? Naah.
Nothing helps, until Rachel reappears in his life. She’s angry at the world and in desperate need to escape.
You have to read the rest, it’s sooo damn good!
What a character journey Siobhan has taken Brad on over the course of this series. And this speaks to something Siobhan is SO incredibly gifted at – she’s great at taking really flawed characters who have made bad and/or hurtful decisions and she puts them on a redemptive journey- she somehow has us as readers dislike them and then empathize and love them. Truly, only a talented character writer could evolve a character in a way where we believe they have truly evolved- to where we see them in a different light. I know a lot of people were excited to get Brad’s book, but I wasn’t yet sold on him- even though he’s worked to make amends. But after this book, wow, I’m totally in love with him- but he didn’t make it easy. Siobhan not only has him evolve- mature as the result of his prior experiences- but she also lets us into just his soul, what drives his actions. And man, it broke my soul to see him devolve so much from the Brad we know and know he can be.
And Rachel isn’t really in a good place either-burying her baggage in her partying. Like Brad, we don’t know the whole story- there is so much more going on with Rachel – and a character that we once saw as weak or unraveling you now see as a strong survivor. An embattled fighter. My heart hurts for her pain. Both of them just ripped it right out of my chest- which is why their story is so special. They understand and see each other- and by helping the other heal they can help themselves heal. This is some INTENSE connection.
This has been the most triggering subject matter of the series- so take note. But I loved this story- WAY more than I thought I would, I figured Brad wouldn’t light me up like Kyler, but I think Brad has buried himself deeper in my heart- the goodness, the strength of this man, it gets to me. And they are so perfectly paired, Brad and Rachel, two beautifully broken souls only whole in their togetherness. Oh my heart!
So much love for Rachel. When we met her in the first trilogy, I just knew that she had a big story to tell. And I was not disappointed. She is an amazing character who has been through so much in her life, we watch her learn to accept her past trauma and deal with the effects that it has had on her. She learns how to build a life for herself as well as a relationship. She goes from being aimless and self-destructive to someone who built and healthing and meaningful life for herself. Finding her passion and pursuing it. I absolutely adore Rachel.
Brad has never been my favourite character from the beginning, however I am really glad that we got to see him pull himself together. I’m glad he was able to get out of his own head and really learn to look at the world and the people around him. He was able to build a nice relationship and salvage his friendship with Kyler. He still might not be my favourite but I have found a new love for Brad because of this story. While this may not be my favourite of the series, it is absolutely worth reading because it is still amazing.
The sexual tension in this book is explosive! Brad and Rachel are both so lost and have no idea how to get away from their demons or live an enjoyable life. There is a lot of angst and turmoil before they’re able to let go of their pasts and find a future together. So glad they were able to find their happily ever after in each other. They’re a perfect match once they stop fighting their attraction to each other.
Saving Brad is book #5 in The Kennedy Boys series and although he isn’t blood related he is treated as ‘one of the family’ and is Kyler’s best friend.
This book can be read as a stand-alone, however you do get introduced to and the detail of Brad’s back story in the previous books in the series and h€ll they’re amazing do why would you want to miss out!
Saving Brad timeline follows on the previous books and Brad is in a bad place in his life, he’s completely lost and persona from when he was first introduced is no more – his relationships are rapidly deteriorating and he’s struggling.
Rachel is Faye’s best friend from Ireland, who we were introduced to briefly in the Kyler books. Rachel us carrying around her own troubles – that which we are to find out about, but they are slowly destroying her no end.
Can two broken people come together and make a whole?
This is a true testament to how strong people can be, but when they break, is there someone there to catch their fall?
I loved this book, it sucks you in, but Siobhan’s writing always does that for me and in my opinion another read.
Bumped up an extra star for the hate to love relationship. Also yes, Team Brad.
Love all the Kennedy Brothers and who can talk about them without talking about the hurt and lost brother from another mother Brad!? So good to read his story and it makes my heart happy that he Has his own happily ever after! After everything he went through with Faye. The next thing I’d like to say is Hot, Hot,Hot!!!! He can figure out hisself with me any day lol. Loved it.
From the beginning of this series brad just could not catch a break. His family leaving the country without him, losing his friend over a girl, him losing his house. Rachel was just what he needed. Rachel has a story too and it was not a good one. As always Siobhan writes an awesone book. The chemistry was off the chart, the pain, the agony, the love that was trying to come out even though those two fought it. I strongly recommend this book!
*** 4.5 Hearts
Saving Brad is the fifth book in the Kennedy Brothers series. It is a standalone but if you want to get more background involving Brad then I recommend reading the previous books. Brad technically isn’t a Kennedy but he is Kyler Kennedy’s best friend and like a brother to him. The synopsis kicks ass so I will make this fast.
Rachel hates him but she wants him. Again. He gave her one hellava a ride eighteen months ago but she can’t go there. She is in America to start over. To concentrate on school. To stop drinking. To stop sleeping with random guys to numb her pain. She knows Brad would only make things worse since he is still in self-destructive mode. She knows she should stay away but she wants to help him even if he is being the biggest dickhead.
Brad wants to hate her but he can’t. She is too feisty and gorgeous to walk away from even if he knows it’s for the best. He doesn’t want to hurt her. He is in love with her best friend after-all. He wishes he wasn’t because it would make life so much easier. His life has been anything but easy over the last two years and he doesn’t want to complicate it anymore. But with Rachel back in the states he doesn’t know how it couldn’t be. He doesn’t go for seconds with any girl but with Rachel he wants to break his rule. Over and over again. Will he get his chance?
Brad and Rachel both have obstacles to conquer. They both have pasts that they don’t want to talk about. The both have been trying to numb their pains for the last few years with alcohol and sex. They understand one another. But can’t not fight when in the same room. It’s too much for them to admit how they really feel.
Overall…it’s crazy beautiful. It has twists. It has drama. It has triggers. It has heat. And it has love. I laughed, cringed, and was very close to crying. I thought it was an awesome addition to the series. You will get a sneak peek at what the next book is going to be about and omfg…I can’t wait!
Quotes:
“Look who came with,” Faye says to Rachel, wiggling her eyebrows as she stares at me.
I jerk my chin up, shoving my hands in my pockets. “Red.”
Her lips purse before speaking. “Dickhead.”
“I can’t believe you just stomped your foot. You’re really indulging your inner child tonight.” “Shut. Up. Dickhead.”
“Poor baby,” she teases, pinching my cheek. “Can’t handle a little rough play.”
Continuing on with The Kennedy Boys Series the author still keeps us intrigued with her characters. This time around we have the story of Kyler’s best friend Brad McConaughey and Faye’s best friend Rachel O’Kelly’s enemies to lovers story.
Throughout the series thus far we are always made aware of Brad being in love with Kyler’s girlfriend, Faye. It was a dysfunctional love triangle of sorts that everyone in the family including Faye is made aware of. To top it off his family is off in hiding and feels alone until the Kennedy family takes him in. Faye has recently moved to the states and making a new life thanks to the assistant of the Kennedys’. She too has some demons she keeps to herself and not even her best friend knows what is going on with her.
An unexpected night between Brad and Rachel to let go and clear the minds of what they are going through begins a love hate chemistry. The downside…knowing that Brad is in love with Faye and the constant obstacles from their personal background are holding back to being more for themselves. The people affected are the ones that care about them the most. To let off steam it is the connection between Brad and Rachel that makes their troubles temporary go away. To add they begin putting on an act to family make it look like life is good.
The story will take you on a ride that will have you breaking for both Brad and Rachel. The want to see two broken people to have more in their lives. In order to do that they have to risk opening up and see that there is more to life than hiding behind feelings and actions. Their story was a saving grace and will have you believe that anything is possible.
My god did i shed a few tears reading this book. I started off being annoyed with how brad treated Rachel (FMC) in the beginning and i wanted to just slap some sense into him. As the book progressed and my heart broke with Rachel’s back story i loved how Brad grew as a character. The two of them together was so heartbreakingly sweet. I was totally routing for the two of them within the first few chapters of this book. I absolutely loved this book. I couldnt praise it up enough
Rachel has moved to the United States to escape a monster. Brad is in love with his best friend’s girl. They had on steamy encounter during a visit Rachel previously paid to Faye, her best friend, and the object of his obsession. Proximity to one another lets Rachel and Brad see each other more clearly, and appreciate qualities they don’t show to just anyone. They claim to hate each other, but are drawn together by danger.
Sexy, compelling, a beautifully well written characters who learn to appreciate each other despite their flaws. Action, suspense, and some violence, with a surprising, and in one case, quite shocking twists in the plot. Fantastic book, I loved it!
I am voluntarily leaving an honest and non-incentivized review of this ARC.
Saving Brad was a great 5 star read.
I was so excited to finally see Brad get his own story and I loved it.
We start with Brad still struggling with his feelings for Faye. He’s trying everything to get her out of his mind which involves lots of women and drinking. Things take a big twist when Faye’s best friend Rachel moves to the states to attend college with Faye.
Rachel has a secret and she’s hoping moving to the states will help her move forward away from the monster. Only one problem is Brad, ever since their time together she hasn’t been able to get him out of her mind. He’s so frustrating and such a jerk to Rachel ast first, I wanted to wring his neck.
Eventually things settle down and Brad starts to warm up to Rachel and they work on their friendship and even more at times. These two are hot as heck together, you can feel the heat and attraction coming off the pages.
Things take some serious twists for both Brad and Rachel and they have things they each have to deal with. Rachel’s secret comes out and my heart disintegrated for her and the things she endured, I was with Brad on the anger and seeing red on wanting vengeance for her. Brad’s family comes back and not without drama and trying to get answers on why.
There is so much more that I don’t want to give anything away. This was a story that really took me all over the place, just when I thought things were settling down another twist would blow me away/ There is a scene that may cause triggers for some. Siobhan continues to pull me in with her writing and I can’t get enough. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series.
Each book can be read as a stand alone but I highly suggest you start from the beginning.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Brad was possibly my most anticipated from this series other than Kent. I have been dying for his book since his and Faye’s friendship + fake relationship days!
I couldn’t help but wish things could have been different for Brad! After everything that happened between him & Kyler before Faye came into the picture. Then things escalated after she did and it out an even bigger strain on everyone’s relationship. However I knew from the moment Brad met his girl in one of the previous books that they were going to fit perfectly. Just had to get past their own demons and I really loved seeing all that go down!
I love the little glimpses you get of Faye & Kyler in Brads book! They are a huge part of his story and it wouldn’t be the same without them in it. There’s an even bigger part to his book that’s life changing for him but I don’t want to spoil things. I’ll just end by saying that Siobhan gave Brad everything I ever wished for him and I loved reading his story!
Omg we finally have Brads story and wow it was definitely worth waiting for by Siobhan Davis. Now just to state this is is not your typical romance book instead filled with lies, tons of college debauchery but also secrets that are close to killing people. We see Rachel as a strong, sexy, beautiful woman yet inside we see a young girl screaming for safety and love. Then we see Brad, who on the outside like Rachel is putting up a wall to the real sweet guy he is because of the hurt and pain he doesn’t want again. Now this wouldn’t be a Siobhan Davis book without some drama, suspense and a hero waiting to rescue the kickass heroine at any cost. Not only do we see what the other Kennedys are up to but in a way seeing Brad’s story come to life was like well full circle. Loved it.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
So what do you do when you’re in love with your best friends girl but, she’s in love with your best friend instead? You need to read this book to find out. think I’m in love with Brad now. Lol. The fifth book in this wonderful series.
I always enjoy what Siobhan Davis writes and Saving Brad was no exception! The only thing is that the Brad in his book wasn’t the Brad I remembered in the Kyler books. I know Brad was in love with Faye but dealing with his background experiences and unrequited love from Faye made him someone I didn’t recognize in the beginning of the book. I’m glad he evolved.
Rachel was a sweet and resilient and given all she’d been through and the move she made. The back and forth and attraction between Rachel and Brad is uniquely written. I rooted for them as a couple. They deserved happiness.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I will not lie, I have loved every book in the Kennedy Boys series, but I was not looking forward to Saving Brad. From the previous books I have not been a fan of his. I struggled to start this book purely from my dislike for him, however, Davis was able to change my mind about him.
Brad is Kyler’s best friend who happens to be in love with his girlfriend Faye. Rachel is Faye’s friend from Ireland. Brad and Rachel meet in a previous book. so again although Brad’s book could be a standalone it will make more sense if you read the previous books in the series. Rachel moves to the US to get a fresh start and to be far away from her monsters. With Rachel’s arrival Brad finally has a reason to let go of Faye.
Brad and Rachel’s story is emotional and a fantastic read. Although Kalvin’s book is still my favorite Brad definitely moved up on my list. The drama and angst we expect from Davis is there in spades, and Rachel adds a little darkness to the book which is a nice twist. The connection that Rachel and Brad have is amazing to read. My heart is genuinely happy that Brad finds his happy ever after. His life had not been the easiest, and he deserved so happiness after all the heartache he suffered. Rachel although is a new character you can’t help but love her.
I am so happy I got over my dislike for Brad and read this book! Siobhan Davis does an absolute amazing job all the way around with this book! I cannot wait to see what she gives us next.
