I am going to start by saying domestic abuse is a very real issue and it can not be taken lightly in any way. This story sheds light on just one woman’s journey through the pain and isolation of abuse, both physical and mental. Avery and Max have incredibly hard issues and circumstances to work through and Angela Snyder brings us to those issues and through them with a grace and beauty that is hard to find in such a dark and sad theme. Even though cheating is very much a hard limit for me, in this book I don’t actually feel or see it as cheating, you may have to read the story to understand this point, and I highly recommend that you do. This story was an emotional journey and it left me reeling!
This is one read that had my full attention.
The plot is well and truly attention grabber.
I found this book to be a very emotional read.

Avery thought she had it all when she married at the age of eight-teen to Nathan Mason but once married her perceived notions came crumbling down when the real Nathan appeared. Now she is a shell of the woman she was under his abuse. When Dr. Max met Avery he could see into the woman to the hurt she was experiencing and his only concern was helping her especially once he found out what was the underlying cause of her pain. The Mason family is powerful and it will take someone strong to go up against them. Will Max risk it all for the woman he loves?

Saving Avery by Angela Snyder a five-star read that will astound you. This is a sublime stand-alone about a subject that I have only seen done well by three authors and I am so pleased that Angela Is one of them, I am doing a rare thing and writing this review when I haven’t fully finished the book, I am almost there but I have loved this book so hard, I am concerned that if the end goes one way I wont be able to write the review for crying every time I think of this book, and I loved it so much I felt like I had to yell it from the room tops and not let it be hidden away. Angela Snyder has dealt with a subject close to my heart and I loved it, she shows us how any woman can be affected and how you don’t have to worry about that fact, you don’t have to be strong all the time, that was part of the thing I loved most. It’s a real story with characters you will adore, don’t let this story scare you away, you need it in your life!!
An INCREDIBLE HARD read!
A painful heart rendering read that consumes every fiber of your being as the gripping storyline rattles you to your core requiring nerves of steel when you really want to put blinders on trying to escape from the harsh reality as this amazing story demands your attention peeking through veiled fingers nervous and scared as the words assault you, filling you with an anxiety overload, stressed cold and clammy shaking gasping holding your breath, numb with tears rolling down face feeling the the pain, anger, feeling helpless wanting and needing reassurance that the anguish radiating through the raw cruel words that are rattling around in my head have to give me a HEA or there is no way possible for me to be able to survive the drowning hell this breathtaking story puts you through! A myriad of emotions, romantic hot chemistry, hard to put down, intense, edgy, raw, triggers and sticks like glue making it hard to clear your head long after the last page has been read! An amazing brutally demanding must read!
This was an incredibly tense book about terrible spousal abuse (mental and physical) (from her husband, Nathan) and then comes the threat to her family as well if she does not submit to all Nathan’s demands. Finally there begins her desire for and joy with the pediatrician who treats her well. But how can she escape from her tormentor? This book was one in which I felt it was becoming impossible for the two lovers to reach their HEA. You have to read it to find out what happens.

Trying to review this book is hard, what to tell you and what not to!
This book is amazing, the story, characthers and writing are superb.
Its not an easy read though as it is about a woman trapped in an abusive relationship. Avery is a vibrant young thing when she meets the handsome Nathan, before you know it they’re married, they appear the golden couple …not all that glitters is gold….
Avery has a life of hell, her husband is horrid, I wanted to cut his balls off with a blunt blade! Life for Avery is about to take a turn for the better. A new doctor is working at the hospital and there is no denying there’s a connection between them.
Max is mesmerised when he spots Avery on his first day, once his initial shock of seeing the woman he wants wears off he endeavours to find out more about her. Avery tries to keep her distance, but sometimes a connection is too hard to fight, regardless of the danger it puts them both in.
I loved the connection between Max and Avery, Max is adorable, not just in comparison to the horrid Nathan, he really is a sweetie.
Max shows Avery how life could be, if only she can get away from Nathan.
A book that will take over your day, make sure you can finish it in one day as you wont want to put it down.
Emotional, upsetting in parts, sexy, romantic, but mainly breathtaking is how id describe this book.
