Praised by Penelope Ward as “a unique story line with multiple layers to it,” Sarah Robinson’s Saving a Legend goes another round with the brooding Kavanagh brothers: MMA fighters who won’t call it quits in the ring, or in romance. His family’s gym has produced a roster of mixed martial arts legends, but so far Kieran Kavanagh hasn’t followed in their footsteps. After a brawl lands him in jail, … brawl lands him in jail, Kieran is assigned to work at a center for at-risk youth. Though given a second chance, Kieran’s simply going through the motions—until he meets one very special kid, Shea Doherty, and falls hard for her very beautiful, very grown-up big sister, Fiona. The trouble is, Kieran’s best opening moves are getting him nowhere fast.
Fiona Doherty has too many responsibilities to fool around, especially now that she has custody of Shea. Sure, she’d love to find a devoted partner. But she won’t jeopardize her sister’s happiness—or risk revealing her tortured past—on a love-’em-and-leave-’em type of guy like Kieran . . . so it’s up to him to prove her wrong. As Fiona spends more time with Kieran, she starts to see a softer side of the reckless warrior. Now she must admit that when it comes to the possibility of real love, well . . . there’s a fighting chance.

Will two damaged but deserving people get an second chance at Love
Wow Sarah Robinson does it again another book worthy of getting lost in.
The second of the Kavanagh books this story focus on Kieran and his second chance following his release from prison. Soon after leaving prison he visits a flower shop were he meets Fiona and sparks fly immediately but Fiona has obligations and a history that stop her from say yes to a date with Kieran. Fate however has other ideas and keeps throwing the pair together. Both are keeping secrets from the other, will this tear them apart or will their tragic history’s final stay in the past where it belongs.
Loved this book and the series so far. Can’t wait for Kane’s story and the rest of the family. It might be a long wait but Sarah Robinson makes it worth it
I did not want to put this book down. There was just something about Kieran and Fiona’s story that grabbed me and I just needed to see how it was going to turn out. If Ace stole the show in book 1 then Shay stole it in this one. It was beautiful to see the way she not only connected with Kieran but his entire family. Can’t wait for each of the coming books in the series.
I just want to take a moment to appreciate these yummy covers. Whoever picked the covers for this series deserves a raise and the models a standing ovation! Wow!
Saving a Legend the second book in the Kavanagh Legend series was an awesome read. Like the first book I really loved me some Kavanagh men. And like his older brother Rory from book 1, Kieran stole my heart. He made mistakes in his past but he was an amazing man. And when he met Fiona there was no other woman for him. I loved that dedication, he knew she was his and he was going to win her period! Fiona was okay for me. At times I liked her and at times she got on my nerves. I loved the ways she was with Shea but I didn’t like that she acted like a coward and kept finding reasons to push Kieran away. Anyone who’s ever read my reviews knows how I feel about cowards in book. luckily there were enough good things about Fiona to balance that out for me so I could still enjoy the book.
Shea was a soft spot for me. My niece has Autism and so books that touch lovingly and truthfully on Autism hold a special place in my heart. Shea’s character portrayed an autistic child well and shows that the author cared enough to do the research. Shea was a sweet little girl that as I read reminded me of my niece and therefor made me really connect with her. I really loved Shea! I also really loved getting to know all the Kavanaghs more. They are all so lovable and unique that I am attached to all of them and really want to see them all get their own HEA. Especially Quinn and Jimmy. They both really got my attention Quinn the tattooed pierced sexy black haired brother and Jimmy the Red headed straight laced, rule following cop brother yum! I can’t wait for the next book to come out Kane’s book.
After being busted taking part in an underground brawl Kieran Kavanagh finds himself going to jail, and becoming a disgrace to his upstanding family. After spending nearly two years in a cell, he’s ready to be free and have a second chance at life, and find way to prove to his family that he has learned from his mistakes and is a changed man. As part of his release he must complete some community service at a center for at-risk youth, which he has some reservations about but he finds a way to embrace it and soon meets a little girl who finds her way into his heart. He also starts to fall for her sister Fiona too, the minute she walks into his life she has him wanting things that he never thought would be in the cards for him and he finally has someone in his life who doesn’t look at him through failure tinged eyes… but they both have secrets, ones that have the potential to destroy the happy life they have begun to build..
Fiona Doherty has dedicated every facet of her life to caring for her little sister, and feels as though it was the best decision she has ever made, even though it has really taken a toll on her, and left her with an non-existent social life. Her best friend is always trying to convince her to live a little for herself and go on a date, but she has never met a man who was worth making room for in her already over overextended life… that is until Kieran Kavanagh waltzes into her life. As much as she tries to resist the handsome ex-fighters charms he finds a way to sneak past her defenses, and soon finds a way into her guarded heart… she is ready to let him into her life completely, but her lingering secrets might just find a way to intervene and send him in the other direction.
To say that I was thrilled for the opportunity to return to this series, is a complete understatement, I have been dying to read Kieran’s story for some time now… and I have to say it was TOTALLY worth the wait! The minute he walked onto the page I was completely transfixed with him, he drew me into his world and held my undivided attention from start to finish. His story spoke volumes to me, each and every word laced with intensity, passion, and hope, it grabbed me by the heart and had me hanging onto every word, and completely invested in every way! Ms. Robinson has a true gift for creating stories that tap into your emotions, tug on your heartstrings, and linger with you long after the last page is turned, and I insist you give this series a chance, it is sure to awaken your emotions and leave you dying for the opportunity to read more from this author!! One of my favorite reads this year!!

PRECIOUS:
The most perfect and accurate description I could give this book. Everything about it is so damn precious. From the amazing, worth-swooning guy and an immensely courageous and strong woman to a family beyond amazing and the creation of a great love.
From the first time I got close and personal with the Kavanagh Brothers through Rory & Clare’s story – Breaking a Legend – I got spellbound. In Saving a Legend, we get to learn Kieran’s story, who, for whoever has read the first book, knows that he is the brother who is in jail for the last 2 years. Now, Kieran is out of prison and is determined to change pavement every time his old life’s mistakes come back. He wants to make a difference and be different; a better man. And then, he meets Fiona; the owner of a flower shop and the sister-guardian of a very special creature who is about to steal his heart forever.
And THAT creature made the book an absolute MUST and me to fall even more in love with it and everything and everyone that includes. And the name of that treasure turned into a little girl? SHEA. Shea is a 8-year-old girl who Kieran meets while he does the community service part of his parole helping at-risk kids at his town’s youth center. And now you would probably wonder what makes her special. Well, Shea is a special-needs kid who, also, has gone through some very traumatic situations that have left a scar in her. Although, Kieran, being the sweet and loving person he is, used his Kavanagh superpowers on her and he got to help her more then he could ever imagine. But Shea didn’t stole only his heart but mine too. Completely! She was such a sweetheart and a precious little thing that if I could reach into the book, I would hug her to death.
As for what was happening between Fiona and Kieran can only be described as wonderful. They were more similar than they had cared to admit and their chemistry was constantly off-the charts; either they were in the same room or not. These two had literally found their soulmate in each other. But, also, through each other, they had found the strength they needed to deal with the ghosts they haunted them. Once and for all. And their love showed its true power especially through these fights.
“You love me?”
“I’m so head-over-damn-heels in love with you that it’s not even cute. It’s reaching creepy levels, like crazy-person territory.”
Sarah Robinson once again wrote an incredible story with even more incredible characters. And the addition of Shea in it was simply the best of all. She added such levels of sensitivity, care, sweetness etc to the story that I would be crazy if I didn’t love it instantly. Shea is really all what it takes to surrender your heart into this book. And combined with everything else……. Also, Rory and Clare’s continue of the story was simply magnificent! I couldn’t ask for a better one!! <3 I think now, I’m even more eager to read the next book than I was after Breaking a Legend. Because two doses of Kavanagh Brothers equals only in double excitement for what comes next! :p
3.5 that I’ll gladly bump to 4 because…Shea…and Kieran. This is the second book in the Kavanagh Legends series by Sarah Robinson and it’s a notch up from the first. I like Rory and Clare’s story just fine, but this one has a few more layers and more depth to the characters.
Kieran Kavanagh has spent the last two years in an upstate prison. He’s out on good behavior and back in the family fold. Two days after being released, he meets Fiona, aka Flower Girl. Fiona is a struggling business owner trying to raise her eight-year old autistic sister, Shea. Fiona herself has never had the luxury of being a kid, she was the one who had to start working at thirteen in order to make ends meet. Her hopes of college were dashed when her mother died and Fiona took over guardianship of Shea. They’ve never really known a true family life or what it’s like to be unconditionally loved and supported.
Kieran hides his prison stint from Fiona, but she’s hiding some things of her own. Theirs isn’t an easy relationship ride, but it sure was fun to join them! Their story is filled with trials, sweet moments, hard decisions, and plenty of chemistry. The reader enters the world of autism in this one and hopefully will learn some of the very real struggles, but plenty of joys, that world entails.
