This 4 book in the Rich and Famous Romance series made for a fun summer read. The story itself is a standard ‘royal’ trope, but Prince Alexios and Serenity’s chemistry is off the charts and there was some suspense surrounding Serenity’s past. I loved Jade’s supporting character and of course I love a happily ever after. Definitely a FUN story!
Not my favorite of the series. Just could make myself like the characters much. Not to say it was a bad story. Just not my favorite.
“Saved By The Prince” is a heartwarming romance full of suspense and dusted with humor. It was a very entertaining read and the author wrote the characters to came to life right in front of you making the story feel real. A very royal experience to behold.
A prince and a wedding dress designer made a perfect pair in this charming romance. I hope she lets us visit the prince’s country for another romance in the future.
This is a clean contemporary romance with a forbidden love. It’s the typical prince falls in love with a civilian that he can’t have, but the civilian is anything but typical! Prince Alexios is in love with Serenity who is an American and world renowned fashion designer. However, he’s duty bound to marry another woman who is also a civilian, but a symbol of the people of his island nation. I really liked Serenity and her friends. She has some great ideas and a big heart. She also finds herself in a really difficult situation as she tries to avoid a dangerous man who she helped put behind bars, but who is now free and sending her death threats. I was hoping the prince would be more sensible; his parents were also lacking in that department. And, his fiance (who he isn’t in love with) is exaggeratedly bad. Serenity is the one who shines in this story. It’s too bad the prince didn’t meet my expectations, but he does have a few moments of greatness.
I received an ARC and this is my honest and voluntary review.
This is the best kind of romantic story. There is a charming prince, a commoner, some danger and lots of chemistry with a happy ending. The story is well-written, clean without sex or foul language and has lots of good feels.
Prince Alexios (Alex) met Serenity Wade when he was in New York some months earlier. There was instant chemistry between them but ultimately he had to return to his small country to prepare to do his duty for the good of his country but he could never forget the feelings he had for Serenity.
Serenity is a world renown designer and Alex’s fiancé wants her to design her wedding dress and will consider no other designer. In an attempt to appease his fiancé, Lydia, he contacts Serenity asking a favor. Because there is someone seeking to harm Serenity, she decides to accept the Prince’s request, so she can “disappear” for a while until she can make plans for her safe return.
When these two come back together, the chemistry returns and even though they are both determined to do what is right, they can’t keep their feelings at bay. Serenity is kind-hearted and makes little dresses for the village’s poor girls and earns the gratitude of the country.
When he learns of the danger that Serenity is in, Alex is determined to provide the protection that Serenity needs to keep her safe. Even if he can’t have her, he will make sure she is safe. Can these two overcome the shadows of their past and forge a future that is bright and full of hope?
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
Of course I’m going to give five stars! I love Michelle Pennington’s books!
This was such a good book. Alexio is very swoonworthy! He is the perfect book boyfriend. Serenity is such a strong heroine, she is kind and caring. It was a pleasure watching them come back together!
Serenity is hard at work designing for the next season’s fashions, and trying not to think about the time she spent with Prince Alexios (Alex) over the winter. Despite their mutual attraction, their romance was cut short so he could propose to his country’s Prime Minister’s daughter, whom he doesn’t love, for the benefit of their country. Serenity’s been ignoring all his calls, texts, etc when a letter arrives asking her to design his fiancee’s wedding dress, right before she finds out a man she helped put in prison is getting out years before he was supposed to. She doesn’t want to design a wedding dress for Alexios’ fiancee, but if she does it it will help her hide from the nightmare that’s come back to haunt her.
This story is about more than Serenity designing a wedding dress while the man she loves marries someone else. I loved how caring and giving Serenity was towards the less fortunate children of the village–making adorable dresses for them. I knew something was up with Alexios’ fiancee, Lydia but it still surprised me when Alexios found out what it was. It was a great set up to Serenity and Prince Alexios getting their happily ever after.
Prince Alexios sounds like the total package–tall, dark, buff, athletic, smart, kind, the list goes on. I was happy that his mother and father didn’t put up much of a fuss about the cancelled engagement. I mean, when a guy uses his country’s Navy to help rescue you from a nutcase I think it’s safe to say he loves you.
If you like stories about royals, especially royals marrying non-royals then you’ll really like this book. It’s a great way to get away from reality and spend some time in a small Greek country. This is a clean romance.
Really enjoyed Serenity and Prince Alexios’ story. Great characters, an amazing setting and a hea.
