This was a nice conclusion to book one that packed in the feels and more for these childhood sweethearts. I liked watching the characters come into their own in their new together which was quite the process to get there. Lots of hurts to overcome but at the end of the day a true second chance romance
Saved by Him is the conclusion of the Like A Hurricane duet and it was amazing. I fell in love with Hunter just a bit more in this book and the love he has for Jules is truly amazing. This book is sweet, a rollercoaster of emotions, and I loved it.
This is Book 2 and the final in the duet “Like A Hurricane” and I was totally engaged as the journey between Jules and Hunter unfolded! The storyline was well written and the characters were so well defined that I read this book in one sitting!

After reading the first book I was waiting to see what would happen in book 2, since the first one was a cliffhanger. This is definitely a cute second chance book and I’m glad everything came together nicely! If you have the weekend I would definitely suggest reading it.
What a way to end a story. I was so at the edge of my set the whole time. I loved these characters. I am eventually going to read both books again in the future. I can’t wait to read more books from you.
I didn’t like the first book in the duet and I really struggled to read this one. Somethings were better in the second part than in the first one,but not much was changed.
After how the first book ended,I expected a lot more drama and angst,and I wanted to see Hunter grow a pair.But neither of those things happened.
Jules didn’t need Hunter to “love her like used to” and she didn’t need to be saved by him either.The only thing Hunter does is love her(too much in my opinion).Jules had something to overcome,but mostly she needed to learn how to not be so selfish.
Hunter was to sweet.To caring and loving.I loved his relationship with Calum but when it comes to Jules I just couldn’t understand him.Why chase after someone who clearly can’t respond to your feelings.
And again,the use of words like “whore” and “bitch” was a bit too much in my opinion.
Overall,I think that this story could easily fit into one book.
I think that I expected something else entirely after reading the blurb.
This book definitely helps to complete their story after book one! I seriously LOVE Hunter even more!! He is the one to complete and fix her after everything in her life blows up. Jules fixes everything that she was holding back from and makes things right in her and Hunters life. This book ends perfectly in my opinion and make me so happy that I had the chance to read this duet!
Well written conclusion to this second chance romance duet.
So the blurb and title are kinda misleading.. She doesn’t necessarily need saving, she just needs convincing to stay with Hunter and their friends. She also has to overcome some fears to be truly happy with Hunter.
This book starts up right when book 1 ends and it’s kinda heartbreaking to be honest. Hunter is destroyed with her possibly leaving. He isn’t handling things well at all. Their friend Taylor speaks truth to both of them to wake them up. This book has a ton of sweet moments mostly with her son. It was a great way to end the series. Hunter and Clover get their happy ending.
Saved By Him is the second book in the Hurricane duet series by debut author Kristie Leigh.
It continues the story of Hunter and Jules and them finally giving into each other instead of fighting it. It’s quick paced and on the edge of your seat wondering where they’re gonna go next and what will happen with them.
The only thing I will say is they certainly weren’t long enough. I would have loved to have read them both as full length books, simply because Kristie’s books are so well written and a pleasure to read.
I absolutely adored this story. The couple were perfect and Calum was adorable. This had everything you could want from a story and just pulled me in and kept me there. An absolutely amazing duet.
This is the second book in the Like a Hurricane Duet, a debut novel from this new talented author. This second chance to love and single mom story is beautiful. Jules and Hunters’s story continues where the first book ended. They are perfect together, and they share a strong and beautiful chemistry. Calum, Jules’son, is so cute! Jules frustrated me and her indecision annoyed me a little. My heart broke for Hunter (I’m team Hunter!). He is handsome, loving and caring with Calum and Jules. I loved to follow them in their journey to love. The secondary characters are also great and would love to read more about them. The HEA is perfect! This is a great conclusion to this beautiful story.
You know that cliffhanger Wrecked by Her left us off on? Well, Saved by Him continues where it left off.
This was again, a roller coaster of emotions. Hunter and Jules struggle to come together. While Hunter pushes for them, Jules pulls away.
There were some very steamy scenes that will leave you wanting more and a very happy sweet HEA ending.
GAHHHHHH! This book was the absolute PERFECT ending to this duet!! Kristie fixed any complaints I had about Jules in the first book! She redeemed herself 100%! Hunter was still the best guy & I’m so freaking glad that Jules opened up her eyes! Y’all definitely don’t want to miss out on this duet!!!
The conclusion to Jules and Hunter’s story is just as incredible as the start. Much fewer tissues are needed with this one in comparison to the first, but it’s still just as moving. As they begin to move past everything that’s stood in their way the sweetness between them really begins to shine.
Hunter is just as swoony as ever, maybe even more so now that these two really spend a lot of time together. Not only will he sweep you off your feet being incredibly romantic but he will absolutely melt your heart with how wonderful he is with Jules’ son.

This is a continuation of hunter and Jules that will blow you away. The way this author has made each other so in love truly was portrayed with every word she put on page. Their love story comes to life before your very eyes. I want a Hunter in my life.
Kristie Leigh is genius with her story and the setting. The descriptions and things that Jules has to endure, the scenes of utter love and joy between them and Calum was truly inspiring. She has created a world I definitely want to be part of. The way this story plays out will have you begging for more and wondering why it wasn’t like this all along.
Hunter and Jules – total couple goal for me. They have been through the good and the bad. They have had to endure so much apart and together. Fate sure has a funny way of playing its cards and this story proves that you can’t run from what was meant to be.
It is a beautiful love story of people fated to be together, but will love prevail? Or will the will to run away prevail?!? Read to find out!!
I read the first book in this authors duet ( this will make it her second book released) and while I struggled with the first, I still enjoyed it. That being said, I struggled a lot more with this book then the first. Again, the blurb was misleading when it says that she needs him to love her like he use to (he has been nothing but loving and devoted even when she was pushing him back). She didn’t need saved. Yes she had somethings to overcome but to be honest that all seemed tame to me. There was one point where everything that she chose, it seemed like it was never even in the book. It’s so hard to explain with out spoilers.
I’m going to say that I applaud this author for writing a really cute duet. That’s why it was. Cute. It didn’t have the angst I was expecting after how the last book ended and that made me sad. It seemed like a pointless cliffhanger by the time I got started on this book.
It was just sweetness on top of sweetness. I feel like it could have been one book and not stretched out into 2, but again, the author wrote the book how she wanted to. That being said, I liked the banter, it was a lot more steamy then the first, I liked the secondary characters. I’m not really sure if I will read more by this author but will continue to applaud her for following her dreams and writing. I know this was a bunch of word vomit, but it’s the only way to review this book, being the second in the duet and not just give a bunch of spoilers. 3 stars #2OCCJD

Saved by him is book two in a duet from Like a Hurricane. This story picks up right where book one left off and it is the chance for Jules to redeem herself to not only Hunter, but to us. Running is what Jules does best, but there may just be a little wrench in that plan to run. Have tissues on hand as you will be bleary eyed reaching this story!
Jules knows that she did wrong the first time around and now she needs Hunter more than ever. Does Hunter save her and show her she can be whole again or does he left her be after something is said and done? I’ll leave it at that as to not spoil anything. For being a debut duet from this author you would never know. It holds your interest and heart from beginning to end in both books. I look forward to more books from this author. Speaking of this…Em..Does this mean Taylor, her BF will be getting a book?
