He saved her life…she saved his soul.Garrett Hawkins is the most valuable asset to his Special Forces unit, because, frankly, the guy doesn’t care if he lives or dies anymore. Since the love of his life, Sage Weston, was kidnapped and killed with her medical unit a year ago, Garrett has turned the shell of his soul into the armor of a finely tuned fighting machine. Being the first tapped for the … tapped for the unit’s craziest missions is just fine by him. The less time for memories and the agony they carve into his soul, the better.
It’s a plan that works, until Garrett’s world is upended one night in the jungles of Thailand. Memories become reality when the unit is called to rescue a group of kidnapped aid workers, and they discover Sage and her teammate among the retrieved women. Now that Sage is back in his arms, Garrett doesn’t know what to do. He has changed in dramatic ways, especially in the darker tastes of his passion. If he touches Sage again, he’ll want to claim her, restrain her…dominate her.
Is Sage’s love strong enough to let Garrett back in, not only as her fiancé but her Dominant? Can she trust that visiting the new shadows of his life will lead her to ecstasy and not ruin? Or can Garrett’s discipline be exactly what her soul needs to find its way back to life—and love—again?

I couldn’t finish. I don’t know why. I just didn’t care about the characters or what would happen next. Gave it 50 pages and moved on. Sorry.
OMG the love, the tension, the action, this book has it all. When Garrett finds his love Sage alive after thinking she was dead for over a year we assume everything will run smoothly but it doesnt. His darkest desires which he tries to keep buried deep in his psyche awaken quickly and he doesn’t want to expose Sage to them. But to his surprise Sage wants the same things as he does but is reluctant to do because he doesn’t want to ever hurt her. It takes something happening to Sage for him to finally let go of his fears and let them both have what they desperately want. This whole book is full of intrigue, humor and emotions that I didn’t want to put it down. I woke up at 5am and finished it at 7:30am. i also love Zeke and Rayna and can’t wait to read their story in Cuffed. I have officially fallen in love with Angel Payne ‘s Honor Bound Men.
I hate to say I didn’t enjoy this book at all. I was bored with it unfortunately. It took me a full week to get 173 pages in and DNF it. The blurb sounded so good but they found Sage in the first 3 chapter. And then Garrett struggled with his sexual preferences. I found myself skimming stuff. I wanted to like this book but I just couldn’t 🙁
Love!!!!
The start of this seires was awesome! An emotional, sexy ride! I did however want to whack Garrett upside the head a few times!! I always love reading Angel’s books because her writing really is unique and challanges me at times! I really love how real the storyline is. It’s rough, and tragic, and gripping! The Honor Bound men are true hero’s and I can’t wait to continue this series!
Angel is always writing some great books . This one is a roller coaster ride but a good one, laughing one minute and crying the next. Garrett Hawkins has been through so much but never knew in a million years he would find his fiance Sage still alive after after over alivefterfter year of thought of being dead. So he becomes her hero and they try and piece back the love they had for one another. I highly recommend everyone reading this book. Found out more with Cuffed.
It just amazed me how Garret never gave up on Sage… When he finally found her in that cave, the only thing he could think about is that all his dreams could come true and have all the things that he has dreamed about could come true… But when King got his hands on her again and he finally unleashed his Dom side and he show that she would be able to handle it everything changed… Can’t wait to see what comes next
Great
Finding the woman you love still alive in the middle of the jungle is such a shock. But Garret has his girlfriend, sub and fiancee back. Sage is hoping to make it one more day alive and all she think about is Garrett. Thank goodness he finds her.
This was the first book by this author for me. It was decent enough definitely some suspense thrown into this one. I liked both characters there were definitely times I wanted to smack Garrett upside his head. I don’t completely understand his shame of wanting to dominate Sage. The fact he wouldn’t even talk to her about it drove me nuts. He was all alpha male hotness and they had great chemistry. Will definitely read more books by this author.
Loved this booked! You are drawn in from the beginning! You get feels and wanting to know what’s going to happen next!! Love the characters! Sage is a strong spitfire and Garrett is just the man to handle her sass! Definitely a must read!
The Steele brothers series is a great read and I look forward to the conclusion!
LOVED IT!!! Great series that started with this amazing book!
Really left one hanging
Didn’t like it.
Great book! It seemed really short, but still a lot of emotion and action packed into a quick read. Very interested in the rest of the series!
Didn’t like the plot.
Just seems odd that a woman who has been kidnapped and put into sex slavery, even if she never ended up having sex, would immediately want sex and not just regular sex, but bdsm sex. Couldn’t finish it.
This book was very good. It is the first of a whole series.
Completely unrealistic
I love this series. The first book with Garrett and Sage ‘s story is a very emotional one. Garrett thinking he lost her forever. Sage fighting to stay alive and get back home to him. Now the struggle to be what they once were and out of the hands of the bad guys. This story is just the beginning of a wild ride with the Boys of Special Forces.
