Ever since he first set foot in Harrisburg, Tennant’s life has been a rollercoaster. Ups and downs too numerous to mention, hard knocks and championship rings. Through all of those monumental moments, one thing has been a constant for him, Jared Madsen. Now that their wedding day is drawing nearer, Ten is seriously considering eloping. He would, if not for his mother, his father, his brothers, … the wedding planner, the guests, the cake, the press, and the team. Oh, and then there’s his best friend, who is vying for the job of ringmaster of the wedding circus. Would sneaking off during the night with Jared and skipping to the honeymoon part of the festivities really be all that bad?
When Jared proposed to Ten, he imagined a quiet wedding, on a beach somewhere, with family, and maybe the team. But life gets complicated with Ten’s warring brothers, a Russian goalie with a love of sequins, and a bachelor party organized by Adler. When Trent sends them a wedding planner, every spare hour is filled with choosing invitations, cake tasting, and finding a rose in the perfect shade of green. Add in Layton organizing a press conference, and suddenly their private wedding is destined to become a media sensation. Is it wrong to think seriously about kidnapping Ten and spiriting him away to a small deserted island?
Adler organizing the bachelor party, Trent supplying the wedding planner, and Stan writing a speech. What can possibly go wrong?

Ten and Jared finally get married, and what a journey it was! With lots of funny bits, sweet times, some sappy toasts and some steamy naughty bits. This story is about the two’s final couple of weeks leading up to the event and all the antics that their family and team mates get up too. I loved that we got to “see” everyone in this. This is a bit bittersweet as its over now…. I really hope that maybe we get something about this great group of couples in the future. I give this 5 stars.
This book had just everything to ensure you laughed at their antics and got misty eyed at the love of family and friends! Jared and Ten, their wedding may have come together not all smoothly but the fun they had will have you smiling!! Stan, Trent, Mom, the two Lisas trying to help and make their special day the best had me laughing out loud, what a great family!!! The beautiful setting, the heartfelt vows, the parties, the honeymoon, and those damn sexy strawberries!!!! It’s the perfect ending to the Railers series!! I am not one for writing spoilers or what happens in books, so get the book, read and enjoy because it’s 5 stars plus!!
OMG! This book made me laugh so hard I cried in some spots and tear up in others. This is a great conclusion to the Railers series that started with Ten and Jared and ended with Ten and Jared.
The wedding plan was hysterical with Trent being the wedding planner with 3 weeks to go. Watching Ten and Jared freak out and try to hide when Trent was talking about flowers, venues, cake, tuxedos, etc… was hilarious as they threw each other to the wolves(Trent) so they could escape the madness.
The Bachelor party was a riot and the Wedding/Reception exceeded expectations. You got to see how the other Railers couples were doing as they filtered in and out of the story throughout. Adler and his no filter mouth makes me laugh every time.
I’m sad to see the conclusion of the Railers story arc but can’t wait for the new seriers about the Raptors and how Ryker handles being on his new team.

I can see that maybe if you haven’t been following along with the Railers, this may not be of great interest to you. But….if (like me) you are a BIG fan of this series, it is a lovely continuation of Ten and Jared’s love story.
Because I adore wedding stories, watching the planning and then the culmination of the wedding itself was very enjoyable to read. I had moments of hilarity with Ten’s mom and sisters-in-law, as well as the teammates, along with tender swoony feelings at the wedding. I love these characters so much and being a part of their HEA was just what I needed. (4.5 stars)
This was Jared and Ten’s wedding! With Trent leading the way as a strict wedding planner, Jared and Ten didn’t stand a chance of having a say in their own wedding. There were a lot of laughs and a lot of swooning as the two main men traded vows of forever. A fabulous addition to this series.
Finally the weeding of Ten and Jared – but before we can get to the happy occasion they must endure planning the wedding, the love of their family and friends as well as a bachelor party. Humor knows no bounds when it comes to the antics of the Harrisburg Railers team, but this book also brought out the emotional side to them as well. Stan’s speech is one you will not want to miss. Happy Endings for all!!
I have loved Ten and Jared since the very beginning of this series, and it seems only fitting we come full circle at the end with their wedding. I had so much fun being back with these guys and this team and their friends. Adler was being Adler, Stan was the best as usual, and a bunch of shenanigans ensue. What could possibly go wrong?? I love that we get to see all the people we love from this series here as well as the wedding we have been waiting for, complete with an.. inspiring.. best man speech from Stan. I am so sad to see these guys go, but I hold it hope we will see them in the future anyway – Raptors anyone?
I would rate this 4.5 stars.
I don’t think we need a whole lot of paraphrasing the plot–it’s a wedding! The wedding we have all been waiting for. This is the ninth story, so this not the place to jump in. It is a short novella and for what it is, accomplishes everything it sets out to do. Tennant’s mom, Lisa, and Lisa (his sisters-in-law), are trying to help plan the wedding…but the guys haven’t been helping a whole lot. They decide to hire a professional wedding planner three weeks before the wedding. Snort. Luckily, Trent comes to the rescue! What could possibly go wrong? Thankfully nothing too important because the relationship is the real thing, and the wedding is just a million details that are less important. The way all of their friends rally around them to plan the bachelor weekend and the venue lead to so many touching moments. Right when it might jump into schmaltzy territory, the authors rein it back in. This is all good fun with hot, sexy moments sprinkled throughout.
This is the conclusion to the Harrisburg Railers series. it is the wedding of Ten and Jared. It is another fantastic story . Although it is sad that this is the last book in the series it it’s a fantastic story to end the series. Can’t wait for the new series to start.
I’m so sad that this series is done.
But, what a fitting way to go, as it started with Ten and Jared, it comes full circle and delivers the wedding of the century!
Will they run off to a Vegas, like Stan and Erik to escape the pressure of planning? Or will they have the wedding of their dreams?
Read and find out!
What is supposed to be the happy start to the rest of Jared and Ten’s together turned into a three-ring circus. I was happy the day was finally arriving but sad that the end was here, it was fun to see everyone lose their minds as everyone does around a wedding. All in all a great ending to the series.
*I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book*
Ten and Mads wedding was the perfect ending to an amazing series. This story has the perfect mix of sweet romance and great laughter that I love in any story. It’s sad to see these hockey players go but I can’t wait for what these ladies come up with next.
Ten and Jared, together forever.
Save the Date is a story that I’ve been waiting for and it was everything I could have wanted in a finale for the Harrisburg Railers series.
From the very first book in this series, Changing Lines, to this final story, we’ve seen Tennant Rowe’s and Jared Madsen’s relationship develop and grow. They’ve weathered everything from coming out as a couple to serious injury.
I knew from the minute I started reading Save the Date that there would be tears and I wasn’t wrong. There was also laughter because of all of shenanigans going on to prepare for Ten and Jared’s wedding. It was so good to visit once again with other main characters from books in the series.
While some of the books in this series could probably be read as stand-alone stories, I don’t think you will be able to really appreciate and enjoy Save the Date unless you are a fan and have read at least some of the previous books.
I’m sad to see this series end but I’m also very much looking forward to the new series, Arizona Raptors, coming this fall. Since we know that Jared’s son, Ryker, is going to play for this team I hope that means we get to visit with Ten and Jared again at some point.
Congrats to RJ and V.L. on a great writing partnership that has taught me more about hockey than I ever thought I’d want to know.

4.5 stars Save the date – Ten and Jared
I understand I just read the final installment of a series. I didn’t read the others but I got a good impression of them 🙂 So for those who did read the previous, it will be even more fun!
Delicious somewhat chaotic story. Ten and Jared aren’t only busy with their wedding but also helping out their friends. Three weeks before the wedding they finally have to admit they can’t manage the organization of their big day..
Friends wouldn’t be friends without helping each other… well, not everyone thinks it’s helping.
And there has to be a bachelors party, of course!
“Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.”
Some friends know exactly how and where the wedding should take place.
And there has to be flowers, and cake, and clothes, and invitations, and, and… vows!
The countdown starts… now!
All the guys together is a lot to take. They are funny, hilarious, annoying and much more. Everyone with their own characteristics. Family, friends slash team members, they all planned to make it into a wonderful wedding. Ten and Jared are deliciously sweet together, they had humor and had a whole lot of sexiness.
Even without reading the previous books in this series I could follow it all quite well.
It was a fast-paced written story. It had a fabulous positive vibe. It felt fresh and had only engaging characters. A very enjoyable read!
I loved Save the Date. It was a perfect ending to the Harrisburg Railers series. I’ve loved reading the entire series and it’s great that Save the Date included all the members of the series. It was funny, fast-paced, sweet, cute and a whole lot sexy. It’s sad to say goodbye to these great characters, but it will definitely be a reread. I absolutely recommend this book.
I have been waiting for this book for what seems like forever. Ever since Ten and Jared met actually..I NEEDED to see them marry.
I knew my expectations for their wedding would be met if not surpassed by Rj Scott and V.L.Locey’s amazing story telling abilities, and I was right!
So much love, laughter, crazy wedding planning, freaking out and visiting with the team was in this book. Did I mention Love and laughter? I kept going back and forth between laughing out loud to then saying “Aww!” while reading. At one point, ok a few points, I teared up.
Such a wonderful time was had while reading this. Not only did I get the wedding I’d hoped for , I got some majorly sexy-time scenes and hope that Apollo might get his HEA some day soon.
Cannot say enough wonderful things about this story.
I know, I know your saying “Hey! Tell us how you really feel!”
All I know is I have not stopped smiling since I read this.
I was given an ARC for my honest review.
What a wonderful ending to this series. It started with laughter, continued in a frenetic happy vein with more outright laughter, and ended with so much love. All of our motley cast made an appearance, it was so good to catch up with them all. It all lead up to a truly stupendous HEA.
I hope we see little snips of the Railers guys in the next series, but if not this one has been a blast from start to finish!
These two authors are great individually but really special writing together, they had me reading Hockey romance and loving it!
What a perfect ending to a wonderful series. What started with Tennant Rowe and Jared Masden ends with their wedding. It is everything a reader could have wanted and so much more.
This story is filled with laughter, love, happiness, friends, lovers and family!
I will confess to shedding a few tears among the laughs. I have been invested with these guys from the very beginning.
It’s great to get a glimpse of all the guys from the series. From Bachelor Party hijinks to sweet wedding vows I eagerly turned each page while at the same time trying to go slow so I could savor each word. I know I will be revisiting these men many times!
Ten and Jared finally get their happily ever after. But getting there is a journey that will leave you feeling good and wishing it would never end. Adler, Stan, Trent and the whole gang make their special day even better.
