If you like gut-wrenching suspense, broken heroes, and inspirational romance, you will love this emotionally charged novel by AJ Alexander and Andi Jaxon. I always believed someone would hear my silent cries for help, but no one ever came. It wasn’t until we moved to our current duty station that someone finally heard my battered soul’s pleading.Dr. Adam Patterson quickly became more than my … quickly became more than my family physician. He understands what my daughter and I are going through, more than anyone. Even still trust doesn’t come easy.
My heart soars whenever he’s near, but the darkness remains. Our time together is threatened by a monster from my past, the chances of my survival are small.
Only time will tell if he’s our savior or our damnation. Too bad our time is running out.
Save me is an emotionally charged standalone novel, where strength comes from the most unlikely place.

Aj and Andi have done it again! Save Me is a work of art. It does contain a warning on it and I do recommend that you read that warning. Adam has a dark past of his own, his mother was abused when he was a child and he has made it a mission to save others. Until he meets Isabel, she is a fighter she just doesn’t know it yet. Sometimes you need the broken pieces of someone to be whole again.
There are no words to begin to describe the emotional ride Save Me will take you on. This story broke my heart, but it also put it back together. Save Me is a beautiful story of strength, of surviving and realizing that you are not broken.
Isabel’s strength is everything. She is a fighter, she is a survivor, she is not weak, she is not broken. Her love for her daughter is beautiful. Adam is also a survivor. He knows exactly what Isabel and Sophie have dealt with, he knows the feeling, he still is affected by his childhood.
Isabel and Adam are two lost souls that finally found each other and found the strength and love to heal each other when they needed it most. This is probably one of the most emotional stories I have read in a while, but I couldn’t put it down. I was drawn to the story, to the characters, to the love they had for each other.
Sophie is probably one of the sweetest little girls ever! She knew what was going on in her home wasn’t right, but she’s only four, so there is only so much a small child could do. I absolutely loved the chapters from her POV. They were sweet and so adorable. Her instantly love for Adam was precious. She knew this man wouldn’t hurt her, that he would protect her and her mother from those who try to harm them.
“YOU. ARE. NOT. BROKEN. Do you understand me? You are one of the strongest women I know, after my own mother.”
While this book may not be for everyone, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it.
4.5 stars. Adam’s mother was a victim of domestic abuse and he felt responsible because he could not save her. He became a doctor so he could help and save people. Isobel was assigned to him as a patient, when he met her he knew she was a victim of domestic abuse and he made it his mission to save her. He offered his help and was rejected several times until the day her husband Jason broke their little girl’s arm. Adam hid Isobel and her daughter in his house they developed feelings for each other. One day Jason found them. This is a well written tragic story that ends with a happily ever after.

SOPHIE…that is the only redeeming quality of this book. The story is disjointed and a woman this TERRIFIED just does the things she does, like moves in with a complete stranger, but the dialogue does not fit the circumstances or what the author is portraying. It makes so little sense if it was not horrible material, it would be laughable…but domestic abuse is NOT LAUGHABLE..
but the antics of both Adam and Isabel are…RIDICULOUS CHARACTERS SO UNBELIEVABLE YOU KEEP REREADING IT GOING DID I READ THAT RIGHT??
Bad editing to the max with typos too many to glance through that throw off reading.
LITERALLY 1 OF THE WORST BOOKS HAVE READ AND I AM FORCING MYSELF TO FINISH WHAT HAS TAKEN ME OVER A WEEK TO READ…I read at least 2 books a week, avid reader.
I am at a loss as to where to go for HONEST REAL REVIEWS. Where I used to be able to bank on Amazon, in 1 day of reading reviews of books there were so many with almost exact same wording, but different names and dates.
It is a shame that authors pad their reviews instead of reading them and IMPROVING THE BOOK.
Wonderful storyline but hard to imagine a life of fear and abuse. So happy I had a chance to read this book….great job.
Very well written
This is the 5th book I’ve read written by AJ Alexander; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

This was a very emotional book and a good story. The storyline was definitely interesting ,it was heartbreaking and emotional.
For some it may trigger not so happy situations like emotional and physical abuse.
Romance part is sweet as you rooting for them, to open themselves and theirs hearts.
However, it sure that editing is missing here, many missing words, some misspelled words.
I usually don’t pay attention to this when I read ARC. This one was already published.
Love the cover page, it is very appropriate

I did not finish this book! I don’t feel the characters were realistic with their actions, banter etc. I can handle struggling through just about any book but this one was a waste of time and I just couldn’t continue reading it.
So happy she finally grew a backbone.
I cover chose the book and I am so glad I did. This was so good I wish I knew about this author prior to now.
Well written story that does deal with a very hard subject. Adam and Isabel were wonderful characters. The journey to their HEA was hard and touching to watch. Highly recommend this story.

This book has many triggers so you have to come in expecting that and keeping an open mind. Not everything is as it seems. This will pull at your heartstrings. I felt everything and found myself crying, angry, frustrated, confused and a whole other plethora of emotions. But lord does this suck you in. I fell in love with Adam because that’s how a man should treat a woman and he tried his best to show Isabel that. This is good but you will go through a roller-coaster of emotions.

This poignant story touches on issues that are prominent in today’s society. Isabel comes from a dysfunctional family and marries a man arranged by her parents. When Jason first abuses Isabel, she goes home to her parents only to be sent back to her husband and told to try harder. When she is attacked by her husband again, she is sent to the hospital. Adam takes one look at Isabel and knows her story as it is one he lived through himself. This touching story will bring three souls together and their journey will be one that will lead to trust, respect and finally love. It is a story that is memorable as well as it is humbling.
