Book four of the Fire & Vice series. All books are standalone and can be read in any order. Guaranteed HEA, NO cheating, NO cliffhanger. Just hot alpha male who knows what he wants! Sizzling dark mafia romance. Read at your own risk! more
I love this book BUT hate the ending. I hate when books end and then you have to create your ending or wonder was there a HEA. So I won’t buy the next book because I don’t want to disappointed myself
WOW!! AWESOME READ!!! I couldn’t put it down until I finished. Only took bathroom breaks.

I loved this story! Great characters, Vlad and Jane. I love me an alpha male and man did this story deliver!
I will be going back and reading the first 3 books just because I loved the writing style and the story itself.
Savage Vendetta (Fire & Vice #4)
By Nikita Slater
Rated 5 stars!
Loving many things this about this book! The rivalry between the two main characters drew me in from the get go! Verbal sparing at its best! Vladimir is so dangerous and commanding but yet he has something in those dark eyes for Jane. Jane only sees him as a problem…at first. She dislikes so much about him…until she doesn’t. Their back and forth, push and pull made me want to read as fast as I could to find out what was happening next! . This author has developed some great characters and written a story which shocked, amazed and made me wish I was Jane more than once.
Vladimir is a strong, commanding, possessive mob boss who people don’t mess with or talk back to. (Enter Jane *smirk* the non rule follower). The intensity that rolls off Vladimir when he just LOOKS at Jane?!?! Wow! Fan please! I am glad we got to see all sides of Vladimir. The Boss, the lover, the softie and crazy man. He really grew as a character and Jane definitely makes him better.
Mostly i am a fan of the male characters but this time Jane sparked my interest. She is so tough and rough. I loved that she didn’t take anyone’s crap. She is very entertaining to read about that’s for sure! and ….her past?!? Who would have thought that? I was surprised at that notion and interested to learn a bit about her family.
I am a lover of good secondary characters. All of these were stupendous! Boris, Anya, Claudia and a few others all added immensely to the story. They made me laugh, smile (snicker) and be surprised a few different times.
Usually when reading a book (4) from a series there is a disconnect when reading about situations of previous characters whose book i have not read. This book is not like that at all. I have no idea what the other books are about or what are the previous characters story. That is one thing I LOVED about this book! It was an independent story in a series. I had no problem following along or struggling with past storylines. This is a first time author for me. I really enjoyed reading this and since this is book 4 in the series I will check out the others. Hopefully they are all as entertaining as this one was.
Savage Vendetta was an entertaining, sexy, action packed story. Vlad is The Boss, the big bad guy. The man who runs it all and has cops in his pocket. Jane is a cop who wants nothing more than to take him down, and she just won’t give up. Even when her body and heart want other things. I found it interesting how he wanted to treat her so well, he definitely had a soft spot for her. And despite her fighting it, HARD, she did melt for him. And things just get more interesting as the story goes on. I really enjoyed it.
Savage Vendetta by Nikita Slater
Vlad and Jane absolutely stole my heart. At first I wasn’t sure about them but as the story progressed I fell in love with their characters. The author really drew me in with her opening case when Jane was a homicide detective. Vlad may have been involved in her original case but this mob boss is good at covering his tracks. This book can be read as a stand a lone. It was the first of this book series I read and I can’t wait to check out the other books.

5 Stars!!!!
There is definitely something to be said about finding yet another author and series that I enjoy. I was one again sucked in and couldn’t put this book down. The author has a refreshing and unique story line. The characters were quite relateable. I liked the
whole forbiddeness of the relationship between Jane and Vlad. The author has a refreshing way of bringing the story together with all the drama and twists and turns.
Jane and Vlad bring an explosive chemistry and just burn up the pages of this book. The twists ad turns in this book create a gripping story line and made this book a page turner. I cannot wait to read more from this author and the series.

My first by this author.. and wow!! What a page turner, I seriously couldn’t put it down!! I love mafia stories so much!! I don’t know what it is about them that I enjoy so much! But good grief…this book had me sitting on the edge of my seat, wanting more !! This story has it all; passion, drama, suspense, intrigue, and mystery. It’s your dominant alpha male, meets young and broken female. But it’s soo much more than that! Be prepared for a roller coaster ride like no other!! Great job, Nikita!

Savage Vendetta by Nikita Slater is the fourth installment of the Fire & Vice Series. It can be read as a standalone and it is a contemporary romance story. This is the story of Jane McKinley and Vladimir Sitnikov. Jane is a police detective that is determined to take Vladimir down and will go to any lengths regardless of what anyone says. Vladimir is a Russian mobster that always gets what he wants. Who he wants more than anything is Jane and he will stop at nothing to be able to have her. As different as both their lives are, these two characters have a an instant connection, exploding chemistry and strong willed personality between both characters. their strong will and lust for each other, make for some steamy scenes between Jane and Vladimir, as you flip the pages to this story. Jane’s life is threatened and Vladimir will do whatever it takes to protect her. Nikita Slater wrote a seamless story that will grasp you from the beginning to the end.
Nikita Slater’s Savage Vendetta, the fourth in the Fire & Vice series, is a contemporary romance. This story is an instant page turner with suspense, drama, intrigue and allure. Could not put this story down once I began. The lead characters, Jane and Vladimir, were hypnotic and featured magnetic chemistry despite the disdain that was apparent. I had not previously read any of the other books in this series, and didn’t feel that I missed much. This story is full of adventure, not leaving a dull moment to lose your interest. I found the dialogue and character interactions fulfilling, touched with depth and well written. A great story!

My first book by this author and it was a doozy..It had everything I love, a seriously alpha male, a seriously sassy obstinate female, danger, no cliff hanger and an HEA. What’s not to love?
I read this in one sitting and loved that even though it is the 4th in the series that it is a complete stand alone. I loved the push and pull that went on through this story between the main characters, the meaner they got, the more you could feel the attraction between them.
I can’t wait now to go back and read the others in this series as well as check out what else this author has available.
Awesome!!
Savage Vendetta is Book 4 of Fire & Vice Series by Nikita Slater. I thought this book was easy to read. In the past, I haven’t really enjoyed reading mobster books but this one was totally different for me. I was hooked from the beginning. The biggest, baddest mob bos Vladimir has not been able to be linked to any crimes. There is a detective that is dead set on catching him and putting him behind bars. Little does Jane know, Vlad has everyone in his pocket and that’s why he hasn’t been caught yet. Vladimir immediately wants to get Jane to quit her job on the force and be his and buy she tells him NO! She gets false information about something and attains a search warrant for Vlad’s mansion. Things do not go as planned.
When Jane needs a career change, she goes months without any word from Vladimir until one night when something goes wrong and she is injured. Jane had no idea that Vladimir has had one of his men tailing her and keeping her safe.
A lot happens in this book. Jane goes from being disgusted with someone to caring a great deal for them. She gets injured on Vladimir’s property and he is the one to find her bloody and near death. Will he be able to save Jane or will he lose her before he even gets a chance to try to have a relationship with her.
I love books with a strong female character and Jane is definitely one of the strongest. She can take care of herself. Something she has been doing since she was 16.
This definitely is worth the 5 stars I’ve rated it and cannot wait to see what happens in the next book with James younger sister.

“I want things I should not want with you. I want to lose my control with you. I want to keep you, own you, hurt you.”
I do not say this lightly…this is my first Nikita read and I can easily see her as being a favorite author. That handful of authors where you see their name with a new book and you just one-click without needing to read a blurb about the book. This book was just a gem to find.
“…you mistake my intention in coming here. The offer is not contingent on your acceptance. The offer is a bonus for what is inevitable. You will become my mistress.”
This book has angst, fear, mystery, secrets, regret, hope, dominance, loyalty, betrayal, control and passion. The battle for dominance and control between two strong willed personalities has never been so intriguing to read. I read this book straight through and instantly looked for the next book with these characters. I have not read the previous books in this series, but will be very soon. I’m in love with these characters and their dynamics.
“Don’t make me give up another thing that makes me feel worthwhile. It might kill me this time.”
Savage Vendetta was a great 5 star read.
This is Jane and Vladimirs story and I loved it. This is my first read from this author and I wasn’t lost at all starting with book 4 in the series, it can be read as a stand alone.
Jane is a police detective that is determined to get Vladimir in cuffs and prison. Vladimir is considered royalty in the underworld and a very hot and dangerous man. When Jane and her partner question him about his whereabouts during a murder he is very intimidating. This is the first time that Vlad see’s Jane and she definitely gets his attention.
Vlad makes an offer to Jane, a shocking offer that Jane refuses. But will she change her mind?
You test my control – Vlad
The chemistry between these two was great. You could feel it coming off the pages. There was a push and pull between them. Jane is determined to find something on Vlad while she is living with him, will she find it? Vlad had some dark elements to him that I loved. All of the secondary characters were great as well. I really liked Jane’s strength, she new how to give it right back to this dangerous man. I liked the possessiveness of Jane that Vladimir had. I wouldn’t mind seeing more from these two. I definitely plan on catching up on this series, I loved it.
The only way I can accept this ending is knowing that there is more to this story! I didn’t think I was going to like a mob boss story but how could I not fall in love with these characters. While this is the first story by Nikita Slater that I have read, it will definitely not be my last.
I liked this story as it includes romance, mystery, an alpha mob boss, and a feisty detective. There’s murder and sex and even a little bit of love. Throw in the suspense and the laughter and you can see why this is a 5-star book!
Jane is the feisty detective who tries everything she knows to convict Vladimir Sitnikov of murder and mayhem. Fate, aka Nikita Slater, has other plans. But will the murder go unsolved? Does it even matter in the grand scheme of things? Jane knows how much she aggravates everyone around her, especially when she is going after something she wants. Sometimes she just can’t help but being a brat. Jane struggles to hang on to herself as she learns more about the Boss. Vladimir knows what he wants. He wants Jane. At first he wants her to stop nosing around his business but then he decides he likes her a little too much and wants her for a lover. This whole story has Jane and Vladimir struggling with their feelings for each other. What they think is pure lust could be more than just that.
There are other characters in this story that are minor ones but are needed in making this story complete. I especially look forward to reading about Anastasia Sitnikov and Boris. This is book four of the Fire and Vice series, but it does not have to be read in order. I love series like this and can not wait to one click the rest!
Savage Vendetta by Nikita Slater
Four Stars
Savage Vendetta is the fourth book in the Fire and Vice Series by Nikita Slater. This is the first book I have read by this author, and I fully understand what was going on from the start of the story, so this story can be read as a stand alone. I will be going to read the rest of the books in this series because this book is fantastic. This book flowed from beginning to end, and I just couldn’t put it down till I read the last page. This book was packed with action and hot romance. Jane is a police detective trying to take down Vlad, the Boss. She is a very strong woman trying to take down the bad guys. Vlad is the head of the crime family and instead of having Jane killed, he wants her as his mistress. This book will take you on a roller coaster of emotions as both strong willed characters try to deny there strong chemistry. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading the rest of the series.
Savage Vendetta by Nikita Slater is the fourth book in her Fire and Vice series of standalone novels. This story can definitely be read as a standalone without being lost. It’s definitely made me want to go read the others and more by this author. This book takes us on a runaway rollercoaster of a story from start to finish where the author builds a story that is so vivid you see it all play out. The characters are written well and the plot kept me turning pages so fast they practically started to smoke. This book had a little bit of everything inside it from danger and mystery, to steamy scenarios and real romance. I honestly wish there was higher rating than five stars because this book truly deserves more. I can’t wait to see where the author takes me next in her story worlds.
Savage Vendetta by Nikita Slater is the fourth book in the Fire and Vice series and follows the story of Vald the Russian mob boss and Jane the feisty detective.
Jane is a strong, Independent women who is determined to catch the baddest Russian mobster in the city. The only problem is when she is around him she loses all her professionalism because she is attract to this alpha male.
Vald is the top dog in his group of peers but when he sees Jane he is fascinated by her intensity, intelligence and just attracted to her. I loved the book and the writing style was fast paced and the characters were well written, the only issue I had was with the Jane at times I felt her reactions were a bit stupid, for a strong, intelligent woman she wasn’t very observant when it came to him or unless the author purposely wanted to show that Jane had a vulnerable side when it came to this man.
I am always a sucker for an alpha male and this story is jammed packed with Vald pushing the limits with their relationship, to see the chemistry between these two characters jumps off the page and I also like the forbidden aspect that one is essentially bad and the other is good. I would recommend this book as the storyline was great and a great addition to this series.
Savage Vendetta is the fourth book in the Fire & Vice series. I was able to pick up this book and follow the story without having read previous books in the series. While the main story line wraps up, there is a piece that is left open that may be continued in a following book at some point.
I love that the main female character is strong, sarcastic, and full of sass. Leaving a sheltered past behind, Jane becomes a successful police officer. Her main goal has quickly become trying to bring down the notorious mob boss, Vlad.
Vlad always gets what he wants, and even though she’s trying to destroy him, he wants Jane. Once he realizes that she’s not going to back down on her investigation or give in to him, he decides that drastic measures must be taken. Vlad takes the most important thing Jane has away from her, her job.
I feel like more could be said about this story, but if I wrote about it, it might ruin the book for everyone.
Two intense and powerful personalities clash in a battle of wits and wills in this action-packed, and lust-filled, adventure.
Savage Vendetta by Nikita Slater is the fourth book in her Fire and Vice series. This book can be read as a stand-alone.
What happens when one stubborn force meets another stubborn force? Sparks fly.
Jane is the detective determined to bring him down.
Vlad is the mafia boss determined to bring her to heel.
Each after the other they will stop at nothing in their pursuit. Jane is looking out for her city, wanting to protect it from his evil, crime fuelled ways. And Vlad is looking out for himself pure and simple, and his desire to make her his.
As their game of cat and mouse continues the heat ramps up even more when Jane is threatened. Vlad’s response is not one that she would have expected.
I really enjoyed this book, more so than I expected. Having not read the previous ones I expected to feel like something was missing but it really didn’t. I loved the two characters. I through their chemistry aaa brilliant and their interactions done so well. The book was action packed and interesting all the way through. An overall great read.
