I hate him. He’s made my life a living hell every day since we were five years old. We’ve been enemies since the day he cut off my pigtails in first grade and I retaliated by drawing on his face with a sharpie. Our hate of each other grew stronger as we got older. We grew more savage in the way we dealt with each other. We broke bones in fights, sabotaged each other’s dates, and ruined any chance … any chance each other had at happiness. We went our separate ways after college. I never thought I’d have to deal with that asshole again.
But I’m out of a job, so when the opportunity to compete for one of the highest profile PR jobs presented itself, I jumped at the chance. Even if it means I’ll have to compete with Carter for the job. I’ll be more than happy to crush him on the way to my dream job. I’m willing to do anything, savage things, to ensure I win.
There’s just one problem. I forgot how much my body betrays me every time I see Carter. Because despite all the horrible things he’s done, it doesn’t stop me from wanting to do naughty, unthinkable things with him. Will my savage heart be enough to resist his charms?
This is a standalone steamy romance.

Cinq étoiles sauvages! Le meilleur roman d’ennemis à amoureux que j’ai lu. Rien ne pouvait se comparer à ce livre.
“I’m making you want me more than you hate me.”
For heaven sake! Savage Love by Ella Milles is the best enemies-to-lovers Romance I have read. Reading this book was an emotional journey that took me to the high and left me craving more. I plenty enjoyed the push and pull between the main characters. Nothing could compare to this book. It’s an intense and all-consuming read that will make you feel a roll coaster of emotions.
I laughed, I cried and I wanted to punch Carter on his handsome face all the time. He re-defined what an arrogant arsehole is. This is the first time I read Ella Milles’ books and I am already addicted to her writing. She has done an excellent work with the storyline of this book. She captured, through her writing, the essence of what an enemies-to-lovers Romance is.
Savage Love is a wonderful book wrapped in a stunning cover. Each page was a delight for my bookworm heart. It was worth it every second of my time. I couldn’t stop reading it until I finished late at night. This book is a mermaid: beautifully written and it sings directly to your soul. The pace was fast and enthralling. The characters are opposite who attracts each other. Their hate-to-love relationship is an epic fight of egos. Behind the hate is an uncontrolled love all set to born. Carter and Victoria’s relationship is like a phoenix reborn from ashes: their love will reborn from their hate.
“I’m not yours. You don’t get to control me. No one controls me.”
Hate and love are opposites. Each one is at the other end of the line; both are the most intense feelings a human can experience in life and there is a thin line that once is crossed everything explodes and changes all. That’s what Carter and Victoria’s story is about; hate and love: two intense feelings that will consume their soul in a delicious and intense way. This time the knight in shining armour is an arrogant bastard that has hurt the damsel in distress all his life until the attraction between them becomes unbearable.
“Fuck it out of me. Fuck away all the pain. All the sexual tension. Fuck it all away.”
Victoria is in my top list of heroines. She is a fierce and confident woman who cares highly for her family. She is a fixer but it seems she can’t fix her own problems. She is competitive and the best at what she does. There is only a huge rock between her way and it has name: Carter. He is her enemy since they were children. Seeing him again is a nightmare came true. She needs an equal who takes her to her limits and who control her in the bed. Being an independent woman is not easy but not impossible and sometimes a super woman needs a superman. She could hate Carter, she could deny the huge sexual tension between her and Carter with all herself but her body and soul will betray her.
“You’re right. I want a strong woman who will challenge me on everything.”
This book is poetically captivating. Each page screams excellence with capital letters. I highly recommend you this book and I mean it!
WOW! What a great love hate romance. This is the first book by Ella Miles that I have read and I have got to say she kicks ass!
In this book Victoria has just lost her job and is trying to jump-start her own PR business, so that she can take care of her family. She fixes people. That is what she does for a living. So when Lily from high school’s life is falling apart, Victoria volleys for the job to fix it for her.
Carter has his own PR firm and when he learns his ex Lily’s life is falling apart he jumps on a plane to get the job to fix and maybe her pants as a bonus. What he does not expect is to have competition in the form of his best friend Logan’s little sister Victoria.
As sparks fly between the two rivals, Carter realizes that he has loved Victoria since she was in high school. But how can he apologize and make up for all the hurt that he inflicted on her in the past?
This story was a blast. I highly enjoyed it. The love hate relationship between Carter and Victoria was hot. They were back and forth and downright cruel to each other. I was on the edge of my seat never knowing what plan of revenge was next. An explosive story of love and pain.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a second chance romance that is a hard road to travel before the happy ending.

Carter And Tory’s Emotional Story Goes Beyond Just Them. It Is About Family, Choices, And Priorities. Perseverance, Commitment, and Sacrifice.
Victoria Grant, twenty-five, cannot seem to catch a break. Three years out of college and she just lost yet another job, despite her stellar performance and long hours. She works in PR in San Francisco and had loved her newest job. And worse, she had just signed the papers on a home and has very little in savings. But it isn’t just her that she worries about. Her older sister Amber and her ten year old niece Sailor depend upon her for support, too. Victoria is the glue in her family, the most stable of her siblings. She hasn’t had a date since college because she has been too busy taking care of everyone else. She and Amber had followed their mother to California when she got married, but their brother Logan remained behind in Charlotte, North Carolina where he works as a bartender. Their alcoholic mother had never been reliable and their childhood had been a difficult one, often with no money for food. Amber had gotten pregnant very young. Logan never wanted to see Victoria make the same mistake. He had always known that she was the smart one, the one with the most potential. But she feels like a complete failure. Her mother suggests that this time around she simply go for it and begin her own PR company. It might even get her a paycheck sooner than going through another lengthy job search.
Carter Woods, twenty-seven, owns a successful PR firm in New York. He specializes in crisis management – only taking on high profile clients. He earned his stellar reputation in the industry through his workaholic ways. The job always comes first. He enjoys women and with his good looks and charm they flock to him. That, and his single-minded determination that guarantees he always gets what he wants in life. He wouldn’t mind having a steady woman, but he hasn’t held out hope. The woman would need to be just as ruthless and career-oriented as him. It would be the only way for it to work. He has come a long way from his difficult childhood. He went into the foster system at age six, but things only got worse after that. His foster dad beat him, so he spent the majority of his childhood at his best friend’s home. Logan had a difficult childhood, too, but at least his mother didn’t beat him or his sisters. Growing up under such difficult circumstances together had created a strong bond. Logan had become a brother to him. Logan’s older sister Amber had become like a sister. Their little sister Tory, though, Carter didn’t quite know what to make of her. He loved to make her angry, and he never missed an opportunity. It was strangely satisfying to see her reactions.
When Lily Taylor, candidate for US Senator from North Carolina, has a crash and burn event that threatens to kill her chances in the upcoming election, Carter sees an opportunity. She needs a fixer, and he is the best. And because he had briefly dated Lily during high school, he knows he can land the job and salvage her chances. Lily heralded from money and was smart; he always knew she would make something of herself. And with so much ambition, he wonders if they might just be a good match, too.
When Victoria heads back to North Carolina in hopes of landing the job to save Lily Taylor’s senate race, she never anticipates that Carter will be in town also, vying for the same job. Even after all the hurt and all the hate for Carter growing up, she had never stopped crushing on him. And he had utterly crushed her young heart. But she needs to remain focused to land the contract; her family is depending on her. And although she and Carter haven’t seen one another in years, he has not changed at all. He will stop at nothing to take her down, no matter the cost. She absolutely hates Carter, and the only way to beat him is to become as heartless as him.
Carter and Victoria’s story is rooted in a shared past, a painful childhood that created incomparable bonds. Carter’s behavior towards Victoria is unforgivable, yet at the same time his story lends sympathy for his plight. Victoria’s childhood was filled with hurtful memories thanks to Carter, and his actions had a long-lasting impact. But they fought together for so many years that their version of hatred for one another had somehow fueled them on to greater things in life. When they cross paths as adults, things become explosive. Their anger-fueled chemistry is intense and deep because it evokes their past. But chemistry isn’t enough to bridge their divide. Their story goes beyond just them. It is about family, choices, and priorities. It is about perseverance, commitment, and sacrifice. It has four tearful moments by my count. The couple eventually earns a happy ending that will sit with you long after story ends.
Carter and Victoria’s emotional story goes beyond the brother’s best friend, enemies to lovers, and fake boyfriend tropes. There are some timing issues that don’t add up perfectly and the number of times Victoria was fired is inconsistent, but overall it is nicely written. The plot is complex. The characters are real and three dimensional. It is easy to fall in love with Carter and Victoria. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Carter and Victoria. I rate this book 4.5 stars.
I received an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
SAVAGE LOVE has it all: enemies to lovers, second chance at love, and best friend’s little sister. Carter and Victoria both had a rough upbringing although Carter’s was much worse. He spent a lot of time with Victoria and her brother, Trent, and teasing the little sister grew into some cruel things Carter did to Victoria.
Ten years later, Victoria is supporting herself, her sister and her niece and encounters Carter as they both vie for the same job. To say these two don’t get along is an understatement. They are attracted to each other, but then hate each other especially when forced to work together with the same client.
Victoria is feisty and strong, good at her job, and saddled by a strong sense of responsibility. Carter is ruthless, he finds a woman when he needs one, and looks out for number one. You’ll enjoy watching them clash right up until the very end in a story that has some really great plot twists.
VICTORIA AND CARTER HAVEN’T SEEN EACH OTHER IN TEN YEARS. I THOUGHT THEIR ATTITUDES ANT ACTIONS TOWARD EACH OTHER HUMOROUS, BUT UNDERSTANDABLE GIVEN THEIR HISTORY.
Savage Love is savage love indeed!
Victoria and Carter have been enemies nearly their whole lives. He’s her brother Logan’s best friend, but he has never treated her like a little sister. No, he has always treated her like the bully he is. But, do his savage ways mask underlying feelings for her?
Now, years later, Victoria and Carter are competing for the same job – to fix Carter’s ex’s life. Whose sabotaging ways will win out? And will their hate for each other give way to love? Or is the hate too strong overcome?
I have to say that Savage Love is pretty awesome. It’s a true enemies to lovers romance. These two truly hate each other, even at the end. I can’t say that I liked Carter for most of Savage Love, but I loved Victoria. She was such a nurturer, always watching out for her family and putting herself last. I wish Carter hadn’t been such a massive jerk, and I still never understood why he was that way. I know he had a hard life, but so did Victoria, and she never treated him that way. But, Ella Miles did a perfect job at mixing the hate with love because Savage Love had the right amount of fighting and loving. Kudos to her for this hate-filled love story.
WOW, Love & Hate, there is such a fine line and it is often times confused. This whole story had me flipped and turned all over the place and in the end I absolutely loved it!! Worth the read, no doubts!!
Very captivating and interesting read. I really enjoyed it and couldn’t put it down. Wonderfully written with strong characters These characters are both likable and the emotions in the story are so real and heart felt. I read the entire book in one sitting. I enjoyed the dynamic between Carter and Victoria & some of their hilarious moments. As the saying goes Love truly conquers all . It is an engaging reading of childhood enemies to friends to lovers stories . This is the first story I have read by Ella Miles and she is a great story teller and will definitely be reading be more books by this author.
This was a quick read. The book gets your blood pumping. Victoria and Carter are in one of the biggest love/hate relationships that has lasted years. In the end will love win out over the hate. The savagery that these two inflict on each other is hard to take sometimes. They seem to meant for each other though no matter what they do to each other. This book is also hot hot hot!!
*Thank you Ella for allowing me to read this for my honest review*
