Jasmine can sometimes track emotions, and because of that, the coven considers her a talented witch. She knows the only thing she can do reliably well is cook. Mind tracking is only a side dish, and that ability is so unreliable she’s ashamed to claim it as a talent. Migrating to Gisborne years ago to keep a secret, her parents held important positions in the coven. Before she knows it, … knows it, Jasmine—with limited talent and zero willingness—promised her parents she would manage the coven and keep their secret.
Gisborne is a tranquil little town. Keeping secrets shouldn’t be a problem.
Unfortunately, the tranquility of the town ends when a tourist is killed with a bottle of cabernet sauvignon produced by the vineyard she manages.
The city’s no-nonsense detective, Bertram Hays, is normally the last person sent to investigate the occurrences in a small town. But the chief of his station dispatches him to Gisborne the very second he learns about the murder, because Detective Hayes has never lost a case.
To keep the paranormal community at bay and their secret hidden, Jasmine and her friends must either convert the arriving detective into a believer and ask for his help, or point him toward a wrong direction.
Neither solution is feasible at the moment…

Another delightful mystery in this series. Enjoy with your own glass of wine.
Great for all mystery lovers. Easy to read. Can be read as a standalone.
This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.
Sorry for lateness of review. The original seems to have been lost.
Small-town charm, food, wine, and mystery with a dash of romance. Such are the ingredients of D.N. Leo’s Magic in the Vineyards series. I loved the first book in this series (separately reviewed), and book 2, Sauvignon Secrets, keeps up the pace. This really is the perfect blend of romance, the paranormal and mystery, superbly told and wonderfully addictive. It totally recommend this great book.
Sauvignon Secrets: Romantic Paranormal Mystery by D.N. Leo is such a wonderful book that I loved reading very much. This is book number two out of three and I can not wait to read the next book in this wonderful series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about magic, suspense, thriller and fantasy.

Our heroine is once again drawn into a murder investigation and hiding her past is become more difficult. Sounds like time for a bottle of wine.
This is book two in this cozy mystery series featuring wine and witches. The book works just fine as a standalone.
This is a cozy mystery series combining wine and witches. The setting on this one is fascinating and we get to learn a bit more in this book. I still love the inclusion of the vineyard and other foodie elements. The characters are also well done and, like the setting, we learn a bit more about them in this book. The story itself is well written and easy to read with an enjoyable plot that provides plenty of mystery and intrigue to keep you reading right up to the end. Overall, an excellent read and I look forward to exploring further.
Highly recommended.

Overall rating: 4.4
This author did a wonderful job developing even more hidden facets to these characters! The blend of paranormal with mystery keeps these pages flowing. I find these characters are perplexing me even more, a total love/hate war going on in my mind. Reading this book 2 makes me think of watching a rose unfurl, the more i read, the more I want lol. Great job! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
Book two in the Magic in the Vineyards series a well written story that held my interest until the end. Jasmine Keene, manager of Vine & Soul vineyard has more to handle in this supernatural mystery, and has her friends Beatrice, the animal educator, Dr. Mia Lee, the psychologist, and Melbourne PD Detective Bertram Hayes there to help her. Grace has no real concept of love, just a twisted understanding of want and need for power, and love is an extension of that. Before he met Jasmine, Bertram was fool enough to think himself in love with Grace, and she turned him down and walked away. The possibility of a promise or a second chance, and a chance to win makes her dangerous
Extra world forces caught in games of love and betrayal find simple humans as minor impediments to their efforts, and relationships and connections are challenged and crushed along the way
Forces collide, and the struggles are only continuing
An ongoing epic battle of lust, love, power and prices to be paid

Great blend of action, romance and paranormal mystery
Personable characters, a good plot with an interesting variety of supernaturals, humans and magical elements. This is a murdery mystery that has everyone going in circles as they try to figure out not only who the dead guy is but who killed him. The story escalates with explosions, more dead bodies and keeps you guessing who is working with who. This second book in the ongoing story gets more in-depth with the characters the additional murders, and a romance going astray.
I enjoyed the story, it flowed very well with good dialog and characters that had plenty of depth and that I could relate to, at least the human ones.
I was engaged from the very beginning and this book held my interest to the very last page. I am looking forward to the next book. I received this book for free and voluntarily reviewed.
Absolute amazing! I read this book in about 3 hours. I literally couldn’t put it down. I was reading while doing laundry, doing dishes and just relaxing and enjoying this read. It was full of supernatural creatures and myths with a few twists that were unexpected. It was written well and such an easy and quick read. It kept me enthralled from beginning to end. DN Leo’s imagination still boggles my mind, but she is one of my favorite authors because of her creativity that draws you in immediately. I’m the perch that swallowed the worm on the hook. I was reeled in!

Lover’s Revenge
Mia, Beatrice, Bertram and Jasmine are back once again with murder dogging their every step.
The book was just as engrossing as the first and I love the characters that appear in a well thought out story. The author makes this story come to life so that you hate to put it down.
