The Montgomery Ink saga continues in a seductive romance where a runaway bride and two best friends might just take the chance of a lifetime.Ethan Montgomery thought he had his life figured out until the moment he and his best friend met a woman in a wedding dress drinking wine out of a paper bag. He might work too many hours and always seems to put his family and friends first. Still, when he … when he finally opens up to Holland and Lincoln, he may just get everything he’s ever wanted.
Holland Yeaton made a horrible mistake, and running out on her wedding seemed like the only thing to do at the time. Taking the next step of her life on her own won’t be easy, but now she has two sexy and bearded strangers to help her figure out exactly what she desires.
Lincoln McClard has loved his best friend for as long as he can remember. Only he’s never dared to do anything about it. Instead, he puts all of his sexual frustration into his art. As soon as he meets Holland, he realizes exactly why he waited for Ethan and what has been missing all along.
However, it’s not only the three of them in this tangled and steamy relationship. And if they aren’t careful, it won’t only be their feelings that get hurt…and broken.

I have been in love with the whole Montgomery clan for a very long time. This one was a solid step away from what I expect from them, and in the best way!
If you enjoy friends-to-lovers trope, and a walk through the MMF triad romance, this is for you.
This book was all the heart, steam and everything about real life relationships that I adore about this author and this series.
Recommend!
Ethan and Lincoln are best friends who happen to come across Holland on what should have been her wedding day. These two can’t leave a pretty girl to sit in a park drinking out of a paper bag in her wedding dress. What Ethan and Lincoln don’t know is that the way each have feelings for each other but it takes Holland coming into their lives to realize that things can be better they just needed that little push.
Lincoln and Ethan have been best friends for longer then most. They have such a strong friendship that they are both hiding their true love for each other. Each afraid of the other finding out and ruining their friendship. In comes Holland who could be the one woman that brings these two men together. The question is if their love is strong enough to survive what comes their way.
I really enjoyed this book. Of course, every Carrie Ann Ryan book is awesome in their own way. Knowing Ethan is a Montgomery of “The Montgomery family”, you just know their family is there for them no matter what. I love how strong the Montgomery clan is in every story. They definitely stick together.
This book had so much in it and yet I still want more.
Holland ran on her wedding day because of her sister and then she meets Lincoln and Ethan these two love each other as best friends but also secretly more , with time and Holland and a little alcohol all three see and feel what they can be together but Ethan is hurt and Loncoln and Holland run but love Wins every time with the Montgomerys
I had the pleasure of reading Sated in Ink before the release date and it was great! This is the story of Ethan, Liam’s brother who we have met in Wrapped in Ink, who takes a chance on a polyamorous relationship. I really love that this is a topic that can have books on it nowadays, we’ll see some things that people in such relationships struggle with but stories as these are the beginning to acceptance of something that a lot of people still seem to reject.
But next to that, is it also a good story, the characters are well thought out although I do feel like Holland could use some more attention. After finishing the story, I still do not feel like I really know Holland. But this did not take away my enjoyment of the story, there is something for everyone in here. There is the love story but also some action and the characters each have their own issues that they deal with in their way.
Montgomery fans just cannot miss this story but it is also good as a stand-alone for those that just want to read this story. How do I know? Well honestly, I haven’t been reading a lot of Montgomery lately since I got absorbed into another genre and I am super busy with school, so I forgot most of Wrapped in Ink and had no trouble at all.
I definitely would recommend this book!
Lincoln and Ethan have been close friends since grade school. Unbeknownst to each of them, there are much deeper feelings and attractions for each other. They haven’t acted on them for fear of ruining their friendship which is primary. Holland is a runaway bride who becomes part of their lives. By accident, she encouraged them to act on their deep desires, but she is the glue holding them together. Although this is a Montgomery book, Ethan is not a tattooist. It was interesting to see them grow until envy and jealousy is released. Comes down to, how hard will you fight? Well written and plan on a one sitting read!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
Take two friends, add a runaway bride and you have another GREAT Montgomery Ink read. Ethan and Lincoln have been friends since childhood. Each afraid to act on their feelings not wanting to lose their friendship. Then they come across Holland, a runaway bride. Holland is whats missing in their lives, but she thinks they just want a fling. The book has ups and downs, laughter and heartache, and yes Love and steamy romance. Once again Carrie Ann Ryan has hit it out of the park!!!
Sated in Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan is book Two in the Montgomery Ink: Boulder Series. This is the story of Holland Yeaton Lincoln McClard, and Ethan Montgomery. I have read the previous book which helped me to enjoy this one, but I did think you could make this a standalone book.
Ethan and Lincoln are best friends who each secretly feels more for the other than friendship. But neither really acted on it. Holland was a runaway bride after she caught the man she was to marry cheating on her. That is where Lincoln and Ethan come in to save her but it just might be that she saves them. This is a story of a triad love with some past drama that comes back to the present.
Enjoyed their story.

I loved this book! Holland ran from her wedding after catching her cheating fiance. Sitting alone in the park drinking wine and along comes two men. Ethan and Lincoln have been friends forever. They both wanted the other but we’re afraid to make a move and ruin their friendship. These three together were explosive. I loved the way they were with each other! This book has so much to offer. Friendship, nosey but wonderful family, hot sexy scenes, a little danger, and so much love! I love Bristol and can’t wait for her book. I can’t wait for the rest of the Boulder Montgomery’s to find their happily ever after!
I was lucky enough to get to read this book early. It was just what I was hoping for. What does a runaway bride, and artist, and a computer scientist have in common? It would seem not much until they all come together. Holland runs away from her wedding when she walks in on her sister helping her soon to be husband with an issue. Where else would you run to but the park with a bottle of wine and nothing but hurt. Ethan and Lincoln have been friends forever. They do everything together, even running in the park. They come across a lonely woman in white and immediately want to help. With an agent who wants what he can’t have and a family who thinks they know what’s right anything is bound to happen. The only constant is the Montgomerys. Laughter, danger, and a lot of love is in store for the three. Get ready for the roller coaster ride.
When I started reading I couldn’t put it down.Carrie Ann Ryan is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can’t wait for the next book.
Oh my oh my, Carrie Ann Ryan has made me fall in love with Sated In Ink. The emotion and depths that this amazing book reaches is exhilarating. This is a book people will be talking about for ages. You need to grab this and read it.
Loved this book. Carrie Ann Ryan always keeps you guessing what will happen next in her books. She outdid herself in this one. You spend so much time wondering if these three can make it work that the ending surprises you in how it goes down.
I love this series so much. You have Ethan Montgomery, who lives for his job and his best friend Lincoln who is an artist but has an agent from hell, Damien. They are knights in shining armour as they rescue a damsel, in a wedding dress, who seems to be in distress. As they get to know each other and Holland’s family decide they no I get want to know her, she starts to get close to Lincoln and Ethan. It amazes me that even though as a reader and I am screaming at the page that hello you really like each other they still don’t hear me and get a clue *rolls my eyes. I loved how Holland was so unsure after her last relationship to jump into one with two men. I felt sorry for Ethan as he cancelled date after date because of his work which threw Lincoln and Holland and his relationship in to doubt. Can the three of the make it as a threesome. loved it and can’t wait for more.
Oh how I missed the Montgomery clan!!! I didn’t remember much about Ethan, but I think that made this story even better. I learned loving about him, Lincoln and Holland! One of my favorite parts of Carrie Ann’s writing is how she brings us into her characters lives. She always makes so we know JUST enough about a character until it’s their turn, and then we get to see them bloom to life.
When we are first introduced to Ethan and Lincoln, I really liked how Carrie Ann put us in their heads. At the same time, it’s always frustrating to know that two characters are thinking the same thing and never act on it!! Then we see Holland and I loved how their “knight in shining armor” complex came about. They were so sweet to her and basically just let her know she was there for them. From this moment on I was so beyond hooked!! I was completely obsessed and picking this up every second I got.
From the spicy parts, to the sad parts, to the plot twist we got, it was so perfect! This book took us through the perfect amount of twists and turns and was the perfect roller coaster. I was so emotionally invested in these three and I couldn’t wait to see where it lead. My favorite part of this was that everything was so real. They had the most real insecurities and you can 100% relate!
I can’t wait to see where Carrie Ann leads us next with the Montgomery clan!
What a heart wrenching story that is very well written. I admit to not wanting to put this book down. The angst of the baggage Holland, Ethan and Lincoln bring to their relationship is incredibly real. Throw in the Montgomery family and you have a stellar read. Perfect ending as well. I received an advanced copy of this book and freely leave this honest review.
I am not sure that I have any words left. This book has all of my favorite things. Love, broken hearts, healing, mistakes, and insecurity. From the beginning I was hooked. I love that every time I read one of Carrie Ann Ryan’s books I feel like I know the characters, understand all their feelings. It is truly a gift she possesses. This book had me ugly crying and rooting for Ethan, Lincoln, and Holland to get it together because honestly, they were always better together than apart!!!
This was so much more than I expected and I loved it! It’s not just a menage romance, it’s a story of moving forward, forgiveness, opening up your heart again, and trust. Holland, Ethan, and Lincoln find just that. It seems as though what Ethan and Lincoln were waiting for was Holland all along. Their relationship fit and it had me giddy. It’s hot, passionate, and sweet.
Ethan, Lincoln, and Holland’s story is one of best friends finding their way to one another with a little help from the perfect person to complete them.
I always enjoy a good friends to lovers romance, throw in the fact they the friends are both male and that bumps it up for me, and then add in a woman that get the two friends to admit their feelings towards one another and I am all over it. It’s like I’m a little kid in a candy store and I have grabby hands because I can’t get enough of it.
Ethan and Lincoln have been best friends for most of their lives and Ethan’s family, The Montgomery’s, consider Lincoln family. At some point they each started to develop feelings for the other but never let on for fear of harming or loosing their friendship. If you read the first book in the series maybe you picked up on the glances and lingering looks they gave one another, I know I did and couldn’t wait to see what Carrie Ann Ryan had in store for them.
Holland had a terrible day, she was dressed and ready to walk down the isle to marry a man she thought she loved, loved enough to marry anyway, but then she ran out of the church in her wedding dress after calling the wedding off. I soooo want to tell you why she did that but I don’t do spoilers so I won’t, you’ll just have to read the book to find out.
Ethan and Lincoln ran into Holland at the park while she was drinking wine wrapped in a paper bag while still in her wedding gown. The attraction was instantaneous on all of their parts but lets be real the men were gentlemen and weren’t going to do anything about it since she was wearing a wedding gown. Lets just say this was the start of a beautiful friendship between the three of them.
There was some major angst in this story, and it lingered for a bit but you know if you have read any of Carrie Ann’s books before we are always gifted with a HFN or HEA ending and not a cliffhanger so read with the knowledge that things will workout.
This is an easy book to recommend especially to those that enjoy the friends-to-lovers trope, menage romances, even to those that enjoy MM reads and don’t mind a Female being with them, because the love is plentiful and it’s given and taken all ways. But please remember this is for anyone 17 and over due to content.
Happy Reading!!!
