The Montgomery Ink saga continues in a seductive romance where a runaway bride and two best friends might just take the chance of a lifetime.Ethan Montgomery thought he had his life figured out until the moment he and his best friend met a woman in a wedding dress drinking wine out of a paper bag. He might work too many hours and always seems to put his family and friends first. Still, when he … when he finally opens up to Holland and Lincoln, he may just get everything he’s ever wanted.
Holland Yeaton made a horrible mistake, and running out on her wedding seemed like the only thing to do at the time. Taking the next step of her life on her own won’t be easy, but now she has two sexy and bearded strangers to help her figure out exactly what she desires.
Lincoln McClard has loved his best friend for as long as he can remember. Only he’s never dared to do anything about it. Instead, he puts all of his sexual frustration into his art. As soon as he meets Holland, he realizes exactly why he waited for Ethan and what has been missing all along.
However, it’s not only the three of them in this tangled and steamy relationship. And if they aren’t careful, it won’t only be their feelings that get hurt…and broken.

This was a great story right from the beginning. I really loved Ethan and Lincoln and their feelings for each other. Throw Holland into the mix and the chemistry was perfect. Trying to maneuver this new friendship/relationship was interesting to read especially when they are all driven career people, throw in a little insecurity, intrigue, and a curve ball and this book rocked it! Loved, loved the bonus scene offered at the end, sort of was the icing in the HEA cake!
Ethan and Lincoln would’ve been good together, if they’d ever managed to share their feelings with one another. It’s not until they meet Holland that things finally click and then it’s great! I absolutely adored the way the romance and sex are handled in this one. The sweet observations seem spot-on, the MM and MMF angles are done respectfully and sexily without being salacious for the readers sake, and the whole progression of their relationship is handled beautifully. Felt like a peek into a healthy triad relationship, with some drama and damaged-past angst for interest and intrigue. Must read, along with alllll the Montgomery family books!
What was supposed to be the happiest day of her life has become the most painful as she is betrayed by those she should have been able to trust. Needing to escape the situation she becomes the runaway bride and now finds herself drowning her sorrows on a bench when two men come to her rescue.
Ethan and Lincoln have been best friends since they were teenagers and over time their friendship has evolved into something deeper but rather than discussing them with each other they both keep their feelings to themselves in fear of destroying the relationship that they do have.
When they meet Holland she is the catalyst that forces them to acknowledge what kind of relationship they want with each other and with her. Maneuvering a relationship with two people can be difficult but with three people it is even more challenging. There is not doubting that it takes all three of them to make each other whole but their journey to realize that wasn’t without it’s ups and down. It is always fun to visit the Montgomery’s and this story was no exception.
We are back in Boulder, Colorado with the Montgomery ‘s. Sated in Ink is a steamy ménage. Three people come together fighting through their insecurities to make this relationship work.
Ethan Montgomery is a computational chemist not a very exciting job but he loves it. He has known his best friend Lincoln almost all of his life. They have been through everything together, he is like an honorary Montgomery so the fact that Ethan has a crush on Lincoln not only complicates things but it’s not something he can explore, he can’t lose his best friend.
Lincoln is a successful artist who is dealing with a creative block for some reason he is to in his head, over thinking everything, it doesn’t help that he has wanted his best friend for years and can’t do anything about it! Ethan and the Montgomery ‘s are his family, he can’t do anything to jeopardize that.
Holland owns her own shop that mainly sells local artisan stuff. She ran out on her wedding when she walked in on her younger sister in a compromising position with her fiancee! From the looks of things it wasn’t the first time either. Holland already has a difficult relationship with her parents so leaving the church didn’t do her any favors in their eyes no matter the reason.
Ethan and Lincoln meet Holland while out on a jog, seeing a beautiful woman in a park bench in a wedding dress drinking liquor from a paper bag, they felt compelled to help her. These three struggle with some self doubt the reasons are different for each but what happens when they come together is beautiful!
I’ve been waiting for this one and Carrie did not disappoint!!! Lincoln and Ethan have been best friends for years, neither willing to cross a line and admit how deep their feelings truly are. Holland’s wedding day is ruined when she finds her sister and her fiance”together” at the church! She is hurt even more when her mother basically tells her to get over it! She does a runaway bride and ends up in a park, that the guys happen to be running past. They can’t help but spy the beautiful woman in the wedding dress drinking from a paper bag and both are instantly taken with her. There is chemistry, but considering her current condition they decide the need to help her…as friends. The more time they all spend together it becomes clear they have feelings for each other…all of them. Their story is filled with guilt, pain, desire, passion and danger…..it’s such a fabulous story…I loved it!!!
Carrie Ann Ryan doesn’t write this trope very often but when she does, she always brings us the sexiest and most amazing love story. I swear at one point my iPad was smoking from the steaminess of this book.
Ethan and Lincoln are best friends who have been hiding some secret feelings for each other. The day they meet Holland was the day that everything changed for them. Who knew Ethan and Lincoln just need the right girl to have them confess they’re true feelings and wanting to share Holland. But will this relationship work – Ethan is a workaholic, Lincoln has an obsessed agent and Holland isn’t too sure on the whole dating two men. Oh and let’s not forget the Montgomery family sticking their nose in between everything – which might turn out to be a good thing.
I am so looking forward to more from the Boulder Montgomery’s and of course ANYTHING Carrie Ann writes.
I loved Ethan, Lincoln and Holland. Holland starts the story on the worst day of her life that was supposed to be the best. It is her wedding day but unfortunately her fiancé is with someone else. So she grabs some wine and leaves in her wedding dress. Enter two knights in shining armor, Ethan and Lincoln. These two have been best friends forever and when out for a run they come upon Holland. They help her figure out her short term plans so she can start to rebuild her future. The three become friends. Ethan and Lincoln have both been attracted to each other but both afraid of ruining the friendship have never told the other. One night the three of them are hanging out together and a little alcohol helps them to realize there is more they want together. The three slowly navigate a relationship but find the same problems that a couple would have. They have a few things working against them such as working to hard and being afraid to fully open up. When the trio is hit with something horrific they must find a way to communicate with each other to get their HEA. I really loved their journey. Great characters and chemistry.
Fantastic Story & Narration Steamy & Heartfelt!
Sated in Ink
Montgomery Ink: Boulder, Book 2
By: Carrie Ann Ryan
Narrated by: Tor Thom
Carrie Ann Ryan delivers another fantastic novel in her “Montgomery Ink: Boulder” series! I loved this book, once I started it I did not want to put it down. The characters are awesome, Ethan Montgomery and Lincoln McClard have been best friends for years, each secretly wants more than friendship but is afraid to take that next step, afraid it will ruin their friendship. Holland Yeaton was about to get married, a wake-up call has her running from her wedding, bridal gown and all. She is drowning her sorrows when approached by two gorgeous men, Ethan and Lincoln. They talk for a while and offer to help her out. I was really rooting for Ethan & Lincoln to take the next step, but when Holland comes into the picture and they both realize they have feelings for her it all makes sense. She was just what they needed, she was the glue to their trifecta. A lot goes on in this book, they face challenges and there is plenty of drama, angst, and some hot romance, a triple delight! Carrie Ann Ryan, thank you for another amazing story & the emotional rollercoaster ride.
I listened to the Audible edition, Tor Thom is an awesome narrator and voice artist, he is a natural talent and an entertaining storyteller. He brings the characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. He is awesome at portraying the characters too, humanizing them in such a way that you hear all their emotions, their passion which all comes out in his performance. It is always a pleasure to listen to his work he is amazing at what he does. Thank you for another awesome listen
This book has me absolutely crying my eyes out, emotional is an understatement. Could i get my very own Ethan Montgomery please? Read it all in one sitting as i couldn’t seem to put it down, loved it
I’ve absolutely loved this story!! It was a fantastic read and pulled me in from beginning to end. It’s a ménage and m/m/f so all are involved and intimate with each other. I really loved the way that Carrie Ann Ryan brought the characters together and built it between each of them. It was really well written and the story flowed very smoothly. I loved the intimacy between the characters and how they built a relationship between all of them equally.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Ethan Montgomery and Lincoln McClard are best friends and have been secretly in love with each other for years, but neither wanted to cross the line and jeopardize their friendship. Ethan and Lincoln come across a woman, Holland Yeaton, in a wedding dress drinking wine from a paper bag in the park. Ethan and Lincoln’s protective instincts take over when they spot Holland and then learn her story over a cup of coffee. The chemistry and passion between Ethan, Lincoln, and Holland is explosive. Can Ethan and Lincoln convince Holland she isn’t temporary but a permanent part needed for their happily ever after? What happens when Ethan is attacked? Will Lincoln walk away to protect the two people he loves the most? Can Ethan and Holland get Lincoln he is not responsible for the actions of another person? Can Ethan and Lincoln convince Holland they love her as well as each other? Will Holland stop running away and run towards the love she has with Ethan and Lincoln? I absolutely love Carrie Ann Ryan! Ms. Ryan is a MUST read author for this reader. Sated In Ink is a fantastic book with amazing characters who will make you laugh out loud one minute and beat your head against the wall the next. I would highly recommend getting Sated In Ink and any other book by Carrie Ann Ryan. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
Book Two in Montgomery Boulder series by Carrie Ann Ryan
Ethan is a Montgomery and his bff is Lincoln they’ve loved each other for years and basically been in a platonic relationship for a king time even though neither has realised this. While running one morning in park they come across Holland a runaway bride. After seeing her maid of honour and sister giving her groom a BJ just before they were supposed to be married Holland ran.
I love our each these three are together and how Ethan and Lincoln don’t fully admit there feeling for each until they both confess they want Holland too.
I’ve not listen to Thor Thom before but OMG that man voice is amazing. He could read me a shopping list and I’d think it was sexy. Definitely looking forward to more audiobooks with him narrating.
Pre-order, instant buy for me absolutely love Carrie Ann Ryan
These Three make a whole. Can the Montgomerys adopt me please
Loved this emotionally intense, sexy, thrilling and action packed romantic adventure filled with unforgettable and engaging charters, witty banter, heart racing passion and exciting twists. Adore the Montgomery clan and this new branch. Looking forward to the next heartwarming journey!
I have been a long time fan of Carrie Ann Ryan and this book is just another fantastic addition to her work. I enjoyed this new addition to the Montgomery world with Ethan, Lincoln and Holland’s story. If you are not into menage stories then this one is not for you but if you have no worries, then this is one hot story. I enjoyed watching Ethan and Lincoln’s relationship bloom from longtime friends to lovers and then the addition of Holland as she learns to find her inner strength and get over her demons of being left behind. Ethan learned that he needed to balance work and the loves of his life and Lincoln battled being blocked in his art. Holland also worked on not having one foot out the door of her relationships as a protection shield. Through their ups and downs, I enjoyed watching them find their way and get their HEA as I look forward to seeing the rest of this group of Montgomery’s stories.
I listened to the audio version of this book and this is the first time that I have enjoyed Tor Thom as a narrator. He did a great job with the narration of this story and I look forward to listening to more of his work.
I enjoyed this book from the start and I would recommend this book to others.
4.5 Stars
Holland Yeaton is ready for the best day of her life – her wedding! But when she walks in on her fiancé cheating on her with her sister, she runs out of the church and wants to get as far away as possible. She finds herself on a park bench in her wedding dress with a bottle of wine in a paper bag.
Ethan Montgomery is a computational chemist who has always put his job first and that includes jamming out on his best friend, Lincoln McClard more times than he cares to remember. But some of it could be a bit of a safety net as he has had a crush on Lincoln for as long as he can remember.
Lincoln McClard is an artist who lately seems to be struggling with inspiration to create anything new. He doesn’t know if it is because his mind is elsewhere lately or on someone else.
When Lincoln and Ethan come upon Holland on her wedding day they take her for coffee and help her get on her feet again. Yet neither man can deny their attraction to Holland and each wonder if Holland could be the answer to what they have been missing in their lives.
Yet nothing ever goes as well as you think it will and how much is each willing to sacrifice for a chance at real love and happiness?
This was such a good book and I really enjoyed it from start to finish. There were so many moments that I was yelling at the book as the characters were really not listening to what I was telling them to do!
My heart went out to Holland for catching her fiancé and sister together and I was shocked that her mom was blaming her for everything. She needed to run far away from that and I really got why she was afraid to get into anything else after that. I liked that she was able to form a friendship with Ethan and Lincoln and how much they helped her begin again.
Ethan was a great character who unfortunately was consumed by his work. He had an important job and being single it wasn’t a surprise that he worked so much. That being said he cancelled out many times on Lincoln as he had to work late. I thought it was awesome that he had a crush on Lincoln for so long but was so confused and afraid to act on it as he never wanted to lose the friendship.
At first I wasn’t sure what was going to happen with Lincoln but I was laughing when I discovered that he felt the same as Ethan but again was too worried about the consequences to act on how he felt. I liked that he was an artist and it was interesting with how he was struggling and trying to find the root of why he was artistically blocked.
The heat of game night absolutely sky rocketed and I was curious to see how far things were going to go. I felt so bad for Ethan in the morning with how he was left by everyone. I was so happy when Lincoln came to talk things through and where that went.
I felt horrible for Holland with how she was continually treated by her family and I know that is why she had so many walls up. She knew how much she cared about Lincoln and Ethan but she was afraid to let her guard down.
Yet at a certain point life makes everyone re-evaluate things as Ethan keeps missing things and everyone seems to be pulling away. Then a huge event takes place that rocks everyone and my heart once again completely shattered for Ethan. He went through something awful but then he loses everything and I was screaming at the characters in the book for what they did to him. I hated that Lincoln blamed himself and I was super mad at Holland as she always seemed to have one foot out the door.
I was so happy for a certain call that Lincoln received that put everything back into perspective and made him realize what he really had to lose. I then proceeded to do a happy dance as everything fell back into place!
The end was great and I can’t wait for more in this series! – By Rebecca
I laughed, I cried, I loved it! I loved that the characters, their insecurities and their struggles were 100% relatable. Carrie Ann Ryan always writes stories that hit you straight in the heart and gut.
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
This was a great book !
Holland could not go thru with the wedding, so she run away.
Lincoln was in love with his best friend.
Ethan was fascinated by the woman in a wedding dress drinking from a bottle from a paper bag.
Read the book, and watch the fireworks!
Loved the characters + the storytelling !
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
Montgomery Ink: Boulder #2, It’s been a while since I’ve read a menage, probably because it’s been a while since Carrie Ann Ryan has written one. I am picky about any M/M or M/M/F I usually only stick to authors I know, because I already enjoy their writing style and I trust that I’ll enjoy the book. Carrie Ann does not disappoint. Emotional, immersive, really freakin’ hot! Top it all of with the wonderful Montgomery Family and you can’t go wrong.
Ethan Montgomery has had a crush on his best friend Lincoln for as long as he can remember. Lincoln has had a crush on Ethan from the start of their friendship, neither of them knowing how the other felt. Jogging one morning they come across a bride drinking wine straight from the bottle just sitting in the park, concerned they introduce themselves and ask her out for coffee. Holland ran away from her wedding after catching her sister with her almost husband in a delicate situation. Ethan and Lincoln offered her comfort and friendship, which she needed after all her “friends” abandoned her in favor of her sister. Holland’s friends and family vilified her making her the bad guy in this situation so her new friendship with Ethan and Lincoln was very much needed and welcome.
Ethan and Lincoln are both attracted to her and several months down the line when they invite her over for Mario Kart and drinking they never expect it to turn out the way it does. They all agree they are going to try and make it as a triad (because throuple sounds silly). The Montgomery’s embrace Holland into their fold giving her a whole new family, one that actually likes her. Lincoln is dealing with his strangely possessive manager and not being able to paint, and Ethan is overworking himself even more than usual. Holland still feels like she’s on the cusp of the relationship and it’s only a matter of time before they move on without her.
Overall, it’s an emotional and entertaining story. Communication is key in any relationship and having three people needs even more work, no matter how hot the sex is. Holland, Lincoln, and Ethan have their work cut out for them and it makes a great story with great characters. It was nice to see the Montgomery’s again but you know who I really miss the Shifters. I miss Carrie Ann’s PNR.
Sated in Ink is the second book in Carrie Ann Ryan’s Montgomery Ink: Boulder series. This book gives us the story of Holland, Ethan, and Lincoln. This is a great book. I loved how these three meet, and fell for each other. Ethan and Lincoln have always had feelings for each other but they needed Holland to bring them together.
This book was another great addition to the Montgomery Ink series. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
