The Montgomery Ink saga continues in a seductive romance where a runaway bride and two best friends might just take the chance of a lifetime.Ethan Montgomery thought he had his life figured out until the moment he and his best friend met a woman in a wedding dress drinking wine out of a paper bag. He might work too many hours and always seems to put his family and friends first. Still, when he … when he finally opens up to Holland and Lincoln, he may just get everything he’s ever wanted.
Holland Yeaton made a horrible mistake, and running out on her wedding seemed like the only thing to do at the time. Taking the next step of her life on her own won’t be easy, but now she has two sexy and bearded strangers to help her figure out exactly what she desires.
Lincoln McClard has loved his best friend for as long as he can remember. Only he’s never dared to do anything about it. Instead, he puts all of his sexual frustration into his art. As soon as he meets Holland, he realizes exactly why he waited for Ethan and what has been missing all along.
However, it’s not only the three of them in this tangled and steamy relationship. And if they aren’t careful, it won’t only be their feelings that get hurt…and broken.

Wow, this was such an incredible read. I was totally captivated by this complex romance. One thing is for sure, you can expect to experience plenty of feels as Holland, Lincoln and Ethan’s story unfolds. I loved each of these characters individually and together I thought they were perfection. These are all complicated characters, so you can’t really expect their relationship to be any different. I thought that the author did an amazing job of balancing out the angst, anxiety and unspoken feelings between the two male characters with that instant flare of attraction and spark of chemistry between all three of them. Along with the boatload of emotions and tons of heat, there is also plenty of drama, tension, turmoil and danger added into the mix.
Carrie Ann Ryan brings us a warm, sexy and humourous take on the theme of love times three. Lincoln, Ethan and Holland make a completely charmingly delightful triad, even through the trials that face them in their search for happiness. Their path isn’t always easy as they have to work to mesh their three personas, but they already have so much to offer each other.
As always, the wider Montgomery family are wonderful, filled with the caring warmth and fun that we expect from these fabulous characters. Another lovely read from Carrie Ann.
Sated in Ink is a steamy friends to lovers/runaway bride tale that will have you reaching for a cold drink and a fan. The chemistry between Ethan and Lincoln is combustible add in Holland and its explosive. This book kept me smiling and rooting for their happiness.
This book was beyond good. It was funny, sinfully sexy, heartbreaking and wonderful. And don’t forget the epilogue. Ethan and Lincoln were perfect for each other but Holland just completed them. I loved it and I think it is now one of my favorites of Carrie Ann’s books and I have loved them all. I loved getting to visit with our old friends from other books. It’s like coming home.
Wow, another amazing book from this series. I couldn’t put it down once started.
I loved all the characters in this book. And loved the romantic relationship between characters.
Carrie Ann Ryan did another amazing job of this book.
Running, it’s what we are trained to do from the very beginning. Whether running for health in gym classes throughout school, playing tag as a child, any number of sports. Toddlers try to run before they can walk. We are told to turn the other cheek when confronted, stepping back to re-group, or flat out avoidance, as humans, when faced with fight or flight, we instinctively take flight.
When our story starts with a runaway bride, and our two best friends out for a run, finding and friending her, it didn’t seem wrong. This is what Holland, Lincoln, and Ethan do, what all of us do, try to stay in shape, run from our troubles, make life work, and don’t rock the boat. Luckily for us, and them, one night of fun and alcohol, lowered their inhibitions enough to act. They were all still running, denying, from their feelings, and then later, each other, but it was enough to make them try to stop in the moment. They had their fun, they had the sweetness, the sexiness, the overflow of emotions, but they were still quivering in their starting blocks, not realizing they were already in the race. They almost lost it all, before someone (it’s Ethan) goes against his natural instinct and stands and fights. That alone, makes all the pain and heartache, all the doubts and fears, worth it. They all can still run, but they will be running TO each other, not away, for all the good, the bad, the sweet, and the saucy, that life will bring their way <3
Now as an aside, remember the children’s rhyme, “run, run, run, as fast as you can, you can’t catch me, I’m the gingerbread man”, well, our runaway bride has red hair, a coincidence? Maybe, maybe not, but after reading the extended extra epilogue, I wonder if a lot of gingerbread cookies are in Holland’s future…..hmmmm
This book doesn’t cover over the cracks, the different pov makes it abundantly clear that the guys really do need to communicate between themselves from the start (even if they promise to) the misunderstanding and heartache this non communication causes only adds to the reason why Lincoln, Holland and Ethan have their troubles.
I love the way that Holland is the glue to Lincoln and Ethan’s romance and that they cannot even thinking being together without her, so she isn’t an afterthought but the linchpin in the relationship.
I always love Carrie Ann Ryan’s books and the way she wrenches the emotion out of me, and before I know it I’ve finished the book and have tissues and red puffy eyes and snot everywhere , but I love it x
Best friends Ethan and Lincoln silently fight their attraction for each other until they find a “runaway bride”. Like all true Montgomery’s, that are there to help. After a night of drunken Mario Kart, Holland becomes the catalyst they needed to ensue their relationship between themselves and her. Who doesn’t love a Montgomery story! There is the struggle of attraction, feelings, angst and the fight for the love you want.
One of my new favorites from Carrie Ann Ryan! I loved Sated in Ink. Lincoln, Ethan and Holland are great together! This book has all of the feels.
Definitely a better Runaway Bride story than that other one 😉 Truly love a good Menage and Carrie Ann writes truly epic ones. Though all 3 of them had 1 step out the door in one way or another, they recognized just how unique each of them were in the relationship. When they let all of the doubt fall off their shoulders they came together beautifully.
What a wonderful story!
Ethan is I love with his bestfriend Lincoln & Lincoln is in love with Ethan but they are worried what the other one would do if they told them. Holland has run away from her wedding & sitting in the park in her wedding dress drinking wine from a paper bag when Ethan & Lincoln come across her. They taken her for coffee & get to know her. They become friends & then it turns into more!
Ethan and Lincoln have been best friends for ever, but when they find Holland their relationship changes and they find the love they have been missing. This book is full of emotion, it is funny, sexy and heartbreaking, but it has a HEA (and don’t forget the bonus epilogue to really get all the feels). Another great Montgomery story.
Received an advance copy through Bookfunnel.
What an amazing story! I just love the Montgomery’s… all of the Montgomery’s! Ethan, Lincoln and Holland are amazing together, even though they did fail into the typical relationship miscommunication, they found their way through and found their HEA.
