The love of a Duke will save her… …but will his family tear them apart?Sarah’s one and only London Season must result in a match—her family’s future is at stake. But this vicar’s daughter faces possible ruin until she’s rescued by the kind and heart-poundingly handsome, Oliver Lyre. The newly minted Duke of Lincoln soon holds the key to her heart, and it appears her prayers have been answered. … prayers have been answered. But his mother and sister-in-law, infamous dragons of the ton, are determined to tear the couple apart. And when Sarah discovers she’s pregnant, she’ll give up everything to protect her child.
When Oliver tragically lost his father and brother and inherited his title, he also lost his chance at marrying for love. He never wanted the crushing responsibilities the title entailed… and he damned well never wanted the attention of matchmaking mamas on the ‘marriage mart’. Rescuing Sarah, and being forced into marriage, is a surprising stroke of luck. His sweet and affectionate wife is a breath of fresh air, showing no interest in his money or station. The only person who expects nothing but his love. If only his family weren’t hell-bent on destroying his marriage. This reluctant Duke will have to choose between the burdens of his family and the woman he loves.
Can Sarah and Oliver’s love overcome the pressures of a world determined to keep them apart?

Got bored did not finish it
Couldn’t find it interesting. The conversation and plot seemed redundant.
I enjoyed this book tremendously
Read the whole series and loved this regency romance!
Poor grammar, shaky story line, got rid of it about half way thru the first “story”.
Too much sex
Great read
If an author intends to write a novel set in the Regency period, it would help if she bothered to find out that one of her plot points could not legally have occurred at the time. In this case, the action in question had been illegal in England for more than 200 years at the time this story is set. I’m not English, and I know this. It’s a sloppy, sloppy error.
I don’t like pornography
Sarah’s Duke isn’t a story that blew me away but it was an okay read. If you are looking for something relaxing, not badly written and low key this is the perfect book. I liked the storyline but didn’t connect to the characters. They were both very timid. Too timid. I just prefer characters that stand out a bit more. I had a hard time believing that Oliver would allow his mother and his sister-in-law get away with as much as they did. Sarah was nearly raped and immediately after she was found crying, she was comfortable enough to laugh and joke and instigate a kiss with Oliver? I had a hard time believing that. Also I couldn’t understand how she would be as forgiving as she was. I just didn’t feel the characters were developed enough and that they didn’t stay true to their characters. That is just my opinion though. Other people may like that type of character but it’s not really my thing. All things considered it was an okay read. I decided not to read the bonus short story.
Sarah’s Duke by Fiona Miers is a very short historical romance. Ellie’s Gentleman is a bonus book by Fiona Miers and is included. These quick reads would be a great choice for those with limited reading time. Ms. Miers has delivered a well-written book. The characters are unique and perfect for the stories. There’s plenty of drama and humor to keep readers engrossed in the stories. I enjoyed reading Sarah’s Duke and Ellie’s Gentleman and would be happy to read more from this author. These are complete books, not cliff-hangers.
