When Oliver was lost… He found Sarah…Sarah Symmons, a vicar’s daughter from Somerset, has come to London in her first and only Season with one goal in mind. To secure a husband that can provide a life for her family. She hopes only for a comfortable home, not a fortune, nor a title. So when she meets Oliver Lyre, a man who saves her from possible ruin, her prayers seem to be answered. He’s … answered. He’s handsome and kind, and Sarah’s heart pounds when he is near…
If only he wasn’t the newly minted Duke of Lincoln. If only his mother and sister-in-law weren’t dragons of the ton. If only she hadn’t already fallen in love with him when she becomes pregnant… then Sarah’s simple dream may have come true.
And with Sarah comes a whole new world.
Oliver Lyre never wanted to be his father’s heir. But since the tragic death of both his brother and his father, Oliver has inherited not only the responsibilites of the mantle… but the attention of the ton’s matrons and their daughters.
Marrying for love now seems like a dream of the past, until Oliver accidentally saves Sarah one night. She is a breath of fresh air in his otherwise stale world, and when he is forced to marry her, he doesn’t regret it for a single moment.
Until his family asserts themselves into his life.
Once again he is struggling under the weight of his family’s pressure, and there’s only one thing that can save him.
His wife’s love for him… and his for her.
Can Sarah and Oliver overcome the prejudice and hatred around them to be the power couple they are destined to be?

Extremely depressing story & characters. Neither lead had any backbone. Oliver supposedly loved Sarah but never stood up for her or supported her thru the entire book till the very end? Ridiculous! I did not like this book at all & will probably not read anything else from this author. Complete turn off!
A little too sexy for me.
I really enjoyed this book, an entrancing love story with believable characters. The book kept my interest all the way through and i liked the fact that the book continued on after the wedding.
I enjoyed reading this book. Good story.
Good read.
Kind of different for me, but I really liked it. Great characters.
Sarah’s Duke was a little more steamier than I like my books so I skipped over the steamy parts. It was a pretty good book.
Great
I enjoyed Ellie’s story more. Even though it as just a short story. Sarah’s Duke was a coward. Really didn’t like him, and my heart hurt for Sarah. I guess the ending kind of made up for the rest of the book. But just a little.
needs editing
All the books in this series are great! Love reading Fiona Miers
Really enjoyable – another period piece with a good plot, terrible in-laws, but in the end, true love wins!
I enjoyed this book. It was romantic and the characters were interesting. It is a nice book to read on a rainy afternoon.
I found the first story to be more enjoyable and easy to read.
She goes from being sexually assaulted by one man to begging another for a kiss within minutes. I don’t think so.
Loved it. I’m glad the duke got some back bone. Loved Sarah.
OK stories….
Greatly enjoyed reading Sarah’s Duke.
Traditional entertaining this story is very entertaining as a historical romance novel. It delivers a very nice happily ever after in the end.
Interesting and entertaining read
