An excellent story by an excellent author!
A vintage Linda Howard that I still reread once a year when I want to have a tear-filled ‘happy ever after’ read. Truly romantic.
Great story line that has you hating one man and loving another.
I read this book from the library awhile ago- when I came across it as an ebook and read it again, I was reminded of how much I liked it and bought the paperback. It is a good story line to show that love is possible even after great tragedy.
Most of this book I spent in tears. But it is brout together nicely in the end.
I love this BOOK!!!!!
Wonderful book. I read everything by this author.
This is an old book, just released as a D/L. Was as good a story as the first time I read it. Linda Howard never disappoints.
It really tugs at your heart.
Sizzling writing. Really enjoy this author for a quick easy weekend read.
Great book.
I was closely related to Sarah and felt her emotions and gave her a lot of credit for her strength despite all she was submitted to in her life and marriage. Roman irritated me at first since I personally thought he needed to see a professional to help him deal and understand his feelings of loss and not take them out on his wife and friends. …
I couldn’t stop reading this book once started but I kept thinking how can this “love story” be so one sided and centered only around a sex life and not the feelings and loves of each other. The one thing the female character wanted so much was so rejected by the male. Just did not seem to realistic to me.
Awesome
An inspiring look at love.
I enjoy Linda Howard books but I know others don’t like the alpha males. The heroine is very accommodating and objective without being petty, I wish I was that mature, but she showed a strength in love and business that was uncommon. I have read the book several times so I do recommend it if you don’t mind sex scenes. Some cons: I did think …
So dated. The main character was so whiny and wimpy, I wanted to b*tch slap her silly. And the male protagonist was a total a**hole. I would say don’t read it, except that it was such a total train wreck that it was fascinating, in the way that a really bad movie can be entrancing.
This is one of my keepers. I bought this when it originally came out. Though Linda Howard’s books have become more complex and to a degree, better written as she matured as an author, this one speaks to anyone who has ever loved and tragically lost. Highly, highly recommend.
Great, Just great! One of my very favorite books of all time. Joy grave Romance sex suspense action tears. What more could you want and a book!
I always enjoy reading her books and this one was no exception.
