Focus Jake. Focus on the deal, not the sexy redhead with the fiery personality to match. When Gladdie alerted me to our Santa problem, my first reaction was to beg, borrow an steal to get someone else to put on this red suit. Although with a view like this, I could muster a few hours of Santa duty as long as I get a glimpse of Santa’s Little Helper.
This is a super quick read about a department store Santa. There’s a lot more to it, but that’s the premise.
It’s a story with a message and a moral. It’s also a story that has some sexy times and friendships. Oh, and there is a kid who licks like a puppy.
This is a story that you could literally read on the bus while heading to work or on a quick break between sales calls.
Santa’s Little Helper, by Shaan Ranae, is a holiday romance novella. This story brings forth the true meaning of Christmas and helping others in its limited pages. This was easy to read, fun and cute, with a little bit of naughty going on at the same time. Shaan Ranae did a great job of adding some fine tuned details to give the story some meat and substance. Jake comes across as a strong, domineering male with a spicy and feisty “helper” included. A quick holiday read not to pass up!
This was a quick and steamy read. If you are a fan if insta-love then this is the perfect book for you. This story is told from the Hero point of view. This is the first book for this author that I have read and I highly recommend this author to anyone.

Santa’s Little Helper by Shaan Ranae was a cute, lighthearted, steamy read, that’s like a late-night version of the normal hallmark movies.
My first read from this author, I was pulled in by the sassy cover and the raving reviews. This quick Christmas read manages to capture what I love about those cheesy holiday movies, while adding a little bit of a sinister sup plot, a grinch like male MC, a not so sweet love interest and, a sappy feels kicking side plot. It has a magical pull, so much so that you can’t help but get sucked into this taste of Christmas cheer. Not to mention the added bonus of… smut, making this story geared towards a late night read, rather then your watered down hallmark versions, that grace our screens.
To save from spoilers because the book is less than 60 pages I’m going to leave you with my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.
Happy Reading

Nothing like a wonderful holiday full of surprises…
I enjoyed reading this book. Was a wonderful read throughout. Perfect holiday book to read and enjoy while snuggled up with a hot drink and slowly sucking on the candy cane shaped spoon. The characters pull you in and make you want to read more. I want to know more of what’s going to happen as I continued to read this. Keep it coming…

Rated 5 stars
This is the cutest story! Full of Christmas fun and cheer! There were so many things that made me laugh and smile. The story flowed very nicely and easily kept me entertained. The characters are fun and sexy. Jake made me laugh with his antics and his terror of children…err I mean the little germ carriers. His thoughts on children are they are cute…..from far away. Sam is a is a fiery redhead who also is Santa’s little helper. When problems arise with the stores Santa it’s up to Sam and Jake to get everything running smooth.
This is a first time author for me and I wouldn’t hesitate to read another. Her characters were colorful and endearing. The story was heartfelt and fun. It’s short but worth it for a little Christmas fun.

Santa’s Little Helper by Shaan Ranae is a holiday short story that I enjoyed reading. I enjoyed how it includes characters that have a love of family. It also has a steamy side to it as Jake takes notice of “Santa’s Little Helper.” There are plenty of laughable moments in this story and others that are heartwarming. I loved reading about the character of Jake. He is a man that has a business to run and a deal to close. When there is an emergency Santa issue he tries to get someone to put on the red suit. He soon finds himself unable to take his eyes off a certain “helper.” What does the Christmas season have in store for Jake? Read this book to find out. There are a few additional characters that I enjoyed reading about. I found myself wanting to know a little more about them and about Jake. The spirit of the season and some steamy romance makes this a book I would recommend reading.
Santa’s Little Helper by Shaan Ranae is a short read but is a fun and quirky little christmas
romance and one I fell in love with. It is told in the male perspective and it had me laughing
out loud from start to finish. I would have loved it if the story was longer but it was so much
more due to the simplicity of the telling. One sassy red haired helper and one man who
learns the true value of family values, all come together to bring you a quick story that will
melt your heart.
This is a short easy flowing, sweet Christmas story that I read in one sitting. This is a must read Christmas story that will put some Christmas spirit in you and the hot, steamy situations will help warm you. The characters Jake and Sam are fun, strong, and creative. I would have liked to see a little more about them but I enjoyed them just the same. This story is simple and basically is about family and loyalty with a Christmas theme. I highly recommend reading this book.

Santa’s Little Helper by Shaan Ranae is a very short, novella sized, holiday romance.
I don’t want to spoil the story by giving away too much- because the story is so short it would be easy to give away too much. Jacob Laurel (Jake) is the has taken up the reigns of the family department store from his father upon his retirement. He hopes to make the business the ‘powerhouse’ that it could become.
With Christmas fast approaching, their store is amongst the many that have an ‘in-house’ Santa for families and children to visit in the lead up to Christmas. With people due to arrive to see Santa, there is a bit of an ‘emergency’ when their ‘Santa’ is unable to do the job. They need a replacement , and quickly. But on such short notice that’s impossible. So, it falls on Jake to put on the suit and play Santa. What happens when he meets Santa’s Little Helper? Sparks fly and the fun begins!
This is a sweet, spicy, funny, and enjoyable light-hearted story. I would have preferred a longer version, so the story had time to develop a bit more depth.
I look forward to exploring some of Ms. Ranae’s other work, as this is my first read from her, to see what else she can do.
Thank you, Ms. Ranae!
This was a very quick read and nothing real heavy. I appreciate the fact that it was steamy holiday read but didn’t have all the detailed sex, as that is not my favorite thing to read. I’m not a big fan of novellas as I often feel they fall flat in character development and in developing the relationship of the mail characters and this one does in fact fall short. I feel this story would be better if it was longer. The end did give me some feels as it has a happy ending, so all was not lost.
This was a fairly short read with simple undertones and family values. It would have been great to have a little more development in the epilogue.

Santa’s Little Helper by Shaan Ranae was quite a quick little read. According to Amazon it was only 54 pages, and I read it over the course of about an hour. It was cute in its simplicity and had a theme of family values and loyalty. The main female protagonist, Santa’s Little Helper, was fiery and cute.
However, that’s about where the good things end. There were spelling and grammatical errors, tense changes and turns of phrase that seemed off and pulled me out of the story more than once. The narrative was juvenile and came from the point of view of Jake Laurel, the main protagonist who is apparently old enough to be the COO of a family owned department store. There were strange headings that let the reader know what the timeline is, i.e. “five hours later”, which seemed quite unnecessary. The story was short and really could have benefited from some additional narrative in some places. The thing I found the strangest was Jake’s absolute abhorrence of children, although he apparently has nieces and nephews. The most unbelievable thing, however, was probably the fact that Jake couldn’t even recognize his own father dressed up as Santa Claus.
I wanted to like the book and I think it could have been a great story if an editor had been involved and a little more time had been spent on developing the relationship between the two main characters instead of focusing on the irrelevant details that seemed to be there simply for comic relief. It had a very adult Miracle on 34th Street feel to it and I have a soft spot for that film, but it fell sadly short.
