Sunny’s outlook on the holidays isn’t so merry, but when she gets roped into playing Mrs. Claus for the local hospital, she discovers Christmas miracles aren’t just reserved for the children.Note: This is a standalone short story with plenty of heat to chase away that winter chill, an HEA, and NO cliffhangers!
A fun second chance holiday romance. Sunny gets roped into volunteering at the Children’s Hospital dressing up as Mrs. Claus. The costume she is put in is scandalous, but no other costume shops have the costume with such short notice. While volunteering she has an unexpected surprise and that a man is dressing up as Santa to assist her. To her surprise it is her childhood sweetheart and they didn’t part on the best of terms. Kyle made a stupid drunken mistake while in college that set them on different paths. Will he convince Sunny to hear him out and give him a second chance?
As you know not everyone shares the holiday spirit so when Sunny is bulldozed into playing Mrs. Claus at the Children’s Ward in the local Hospital, well, lets just say she was less than thrilled, and then when she saw what Mrs. Claus wore..lol yeah that didn’t help matters. But what she truly didn’t expect was to find her ex, the true love of her life, the man she never got over, was the one playing Santa Claus himself.
This was a fun, hot, quick read that is sure to get even the most cynical of people believing that Christmas Miracles really can come true. Happy Reading!!!
This is an adorable short and sweet second chance romance!
Sunny runs into her first love, the boy who broke her heart when he kissed someone else. Years later and he is still determined to win her back.
I’m not a fan of second chances but this is so adorable to pass up reading. Highly recommend for second chance lovers!
J.C. has done it again and has written an amazing short story for Christmas that had me swooning in my bed. I was glued to my kindle and loved every minute of this sweet story that started off for our main character Sunny to be not so good but by the end of the story she had her second chance at romance.
Sunny is having a not so good Christmas when she is asked to be Mrs Claus at the local children’s hospital. She agrees and is happy she did so because she soon finds out Christmas is made of miracles!
Thank you J.C. for the wonderful Christmas Novella! Merry Christmas!
Sunny is not happy with the turn of events. Loved how our author sneaks in a twist – some might say an early Christmas present. Kyle Payne knows what his heart wants and won’t settle for anything less. It’s a story of bringing joy and of second chances. If you can spare an hour out your hectic life than you’ll have time for this.
There’s a spot in the story that is a little sad and bittersweet. Makes me think of some of the Hallmark Christmas movies so just keep a tissue handy just in case. The ending will leave you laughing and looking forward to reading the story again. It’s not heavy on the holiday theme so you could read this story at any time of year. You may decide to check out some of the author’s other works after you finish here as well.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
I loved it!! This may be a quick read but I was pulled in from the start and completely hooked on Sunny and Kyle! I loved their deep connection, even after all those years. Great read!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I received this book with a the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this short story we meet Sunny and Kyle. These two met and dated all through high school but things happened in college that broke them apart. No matter what Kyle tries to say to make it better Sunny just keeps taking it wrong. To make matters worse she is in a Mrs. Clause costume that should come with a warning. Kyle well of course he is the big man himself. Can these two get over the past and find their true HEA or will they let the past bury them for good/
This is a great short story. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don’t want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. It will have you snuggled up and ready for this story to take you on a journey with these characters. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Fun second chance holiday romance. Sunny gets selected to play Mrs. Claus at the local hospital in a rather unexpected costume. What she doesn’t expect is to find her childhood sweetheart playing Santa. A fiasco in college pushed them apart. Will the holiday spirit allow for forgiveness? Can they find the love that they lost? I had fun with Sunny and Kyle as they navigated this second chance and had to face their true feelings.
Valentine has found an adorable way to deliver a powerful message. The greatest gifts are not received, but given. What began as a chore became a heartwarming, delightful reminder of what matters most.
3.5 stars– SANTA BABY by JC Valentine is a Christmas short story; a second chance romance between high school and college sweethearts Sunny and Kyle.
Told from first person points of view (Sunny) SANTA BABY follows our heroine Sunny as she comes face to face with her past while ‘volunteering’ at the local hospital for sick children. Enter Kyle, the man who destroyed her heart but the man with whom Sunny is still in love. What ensues is the quick rekindling relationship between Sunny and Kyle, as they forget about the past, and look forward to the future.
SANTA BABY is a quick read; a simple, sweet and sexy short story about second chances and happily ever after.
