If ever there was a heartache waiting to be found, Moreland proves without a shadow of a doubt, she knows just where to look. Sandy forces the heart to stop and take notice. It’s raw, inspiring and haunting. I found myself lost in the vulnerable, tortured by the painful and inspired the hope. Moreland will leave your heart spent, but empowered by the unpredictable, beauty of love.
5 star Review Sandy (Vested Interest #7) by Melanie Moreland
Have you ever dreaded reading a story because you know that once you have finished, a series that you love will be complete? That is the position I found myself in when I started Sandy, book seven and the final book in the Vested Interest series.
The men and women of BAM have become a family to me. Every time I read one of these books I know I am in for an entertaining and riveting read which will draw me in and have me totally invested from the first to the last word.
From the first time Sandy Preston was introduced into this series I have loved her. She is the glue that has kept the men of BAM together, always there to guide, support and above all accept and love them. It was time for her to find new love and happiness after all that she has been through.
I am not going to give to much away, suffice to say, this was an extremely well written emotional story that brought me to tears. It tugged at my heartstrings and I found myself smiling and crying, at times at the same time as I read this book.
There were appearances from all my favourite people and for me this was a fitting conclusion to the series. Melanie Moreland has brought the series to a close with a fabulous second chance at love story that I highly recommend.
I have everything crossed that we might get a holiday novella or perhaps a second generation series in the future. Hint, hint Ms.Moreland.
So fantastic it will make you laugh and cry. Melanie is one of my top 2 authors of all time. I have read every book in her library – several times. The BAM boys are my fav reads ever. I love the Vested Series and in particular, the first book Bentley. Sadly, Sandy ends the series and I was already sad it was going to end but this author never lets her fans down. This book was amazing. So full of ‘feels’ lots of light moments and yes, some sad. This book is the perfect end to this series and I can say I loved every single book. Treat yourself, and start from the beginning and I know you’ll luv each one. If you haven’t read any yet, they are all stand alone’s but I think you’ll enjoy them in order more. If you’ve been reading along, Melanie crush it with this story – I highly recommend. I can’t wait to start the series again.
At the beginning of the book I feel many emotions () and in the End too an emotional story.
A beautiful romance book! Sandy’s book is special. Still loving The BAM boys.
We all love Sandy and we all mourned when Dandy lost her husband Max. So it was a beautiful thing to see her happy and in love again with Jordan, another member of the BAM corporation. I’m sad to see this series end but hopefully with the next generation we will see glimpses of the original crew.
Oh Sandy…the glue that holds all the BAM boys together. Married to and widowed by a man 22 years her senior, she is left reeling and trying to pick up the pieces of her life and figure out how to go on without Max. Enter Jordan, her coworker and friend who knows exactly what it’s like to lose your lifelong spouse.
Sandy and Jordan’s story is absolutely beautiful and the perfect way to end the BAM series. I love how she overcame her fears and opened her heart again and I ADORED how her boys showed up for her. This story is such a great reminder that you can find love at any age. I’ll miss the BAM series!!
This is the seventh and last book in the amazing Vested Interest Series. I recommend you to listen to this Series in order. Sandy and Jordan’s story is beautifully written, sweet, emotional, and romantic. Sandy is lovely, caring, and strong. Jordan is handsome, and a gentleman. This is a fantastic, and an epic ending to this wonderful series. Maxine Mitchell and John Lane did an outstanding job with the narration. I love their voices together. I HIGHLY recommend this Series. This is definitely one of my favorite series of the year, and I will definitely relisten to the entire Series. Now, I am looking forward to read A Merry Vested Wedding, a prequel to the next generation of BAM!
Melanie Moreland delivers the most emotional and heartwarming book in the whole Vested Interest Series. A perfect ending to such an amazing series, about second chances at love and life.
Sandy Preston has lived a life full of happiness and love. Yet, her life hasn’t always been easy when it came to marrying the love of her life. Her husband Max was twenty-two years her senior and they both faced backlash because of their age difference. But their love was so strong that they were able to prove people wrong, that love wasn’t about age. Her life completely changed and it’s when she got older that she met her BAM boys. The boys that would give her many titles; mother, friend and confidante. They became her world, even more after her husband passed away. Sandy has seen them become the men they are today, rich, powerful and full of love. She has so much love to give that she wonders if she can actually move forward with her life. Start a new beginning.
Craving some companionship, Sandy signs up for a dating site thinking that she would meet someone to spend time with. Little did she know that love was in front of her all along. Having known Jordan Hayes for a while now, Sandy has grown very close to him especially when they see each other at work all the time. They have both witnessed each other grieve for their loved ones and find out just how much they have in common. So it’s no surprise when Jordan asks her out on a date, one that would turn into so many more and as they get to know each other more, the more she starts to realize that maybe Jordan might just be the one for her. Then doubt starts to creep in and Sandy has to decide if she can let go of her past with Max in order to start a new life with Jordan or if she is destined to be alone forever.
I wish I could rate the book higher, it certainly deserves more than five stars. It was great getting to know such an important character in the series. Sandy is the glue that keeps the men of BAM together and we get to learn more about the relationships that she has with each of them. At the end of the day, she might be working for them, but they know who the real boss is in the company. She has seen them find true love and she is happy for them. Yet, they all worry about her and they’re happy to see her start her life again. Jordan Hayes is kind, a hard worker whose job at BAM keeps him busy. He has earned the respect of the men of BAM and he knows that Sandy is precious to all of them. Although he has lost a loved one too, he is ready to move on and prove to Sandy that they have so much love to give and it’s okay to start a new beginning together. I absolutely loved the ending, had me in tears and it was the perfect way to conclude the story. I would highly recommend reading Sandy and the rest of the series, you will not regret it! 🙂
**I received an advanced copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.**
What a beautiful end! Melanie Moreland created such a stunning story with Sandy. It is the perfect ending to a fantastic series. I shed tears of happiness and joy by the end and the epilogue is one of the best epilogues I have ever read. So heartfelt and beautiful.
Sandy is a refreshing story about a mature couple getting a second chance at love. Both Jordan and Sandy are widowed. Both alone trying to move on after the death of their spouses. I loved seeing their relationship develop. It was beautiful experiencing these two people open their hearts to one another.
The BAM boys, Aiden, Maddox, Bentley and Reid are like the children Sandy never had. They are protective of her and she is the matriarch of the family. I loved Sandy’s spirit and fire. She does not hesitate to put her ‘children’ in their place when needed but she is also a little lost inside since the death of her husband Max. Jordan opened her eyes up to a second chance at love and I do not think he could have been more perfect for her.
Thank you Melanie for creating a story of characters that will remain in my heart forever. This deserves ALL THE STARS! 5 is not enough!
I am so so glad that Sandy finally got her story. This lady had a chance to find her love, but her love for her BAM boys was even more beautiful.

While Sandy is the seventh and last book in the Vested Interest series, it’s the first book I’ve read. This book is standalone- reading the previous books in the series is not necessary to enjoy this one, but since this one was so beautifully written and the other characters interesting, I’m curious about the other books and want to read them!
This book is an emotional read. In it, we see Sandy’s pain over the loss of Max and her strength to move on and find love again. Jordan has been attracted to her for a while but was waiting for her to be ready before he made a move. I love how supportive and attentive he is. The epilogue was awesome, and I’m thinking I’d love it even more after reading all seven books.
While Sandy is a contemporary workplace romance written in dual first-person POV. It’s a standalone that ends with an HEA. No cliffhanger, no cheating.
I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
Melanie Moreland always hits me in the feels with her books, especially any in her BAM series, but let me tell you, though this has been coming since the beginning of the series, Sandy had me welling up, in the best possible manner from the very start!
I have loved Sandy since the very first reference to her and helping her boys with their laundry. And this story, her story, it just really touched my heart and I am completely okay with that! She deserves this story, and I am so glad that Melanie wrote it!
Though the story was all about Sandy and Jordan, I adored still getting to see all my favorite characters, and everyone’s love shining through for the people they truly considered their family.
Jordan is such a gentleman, but with the most delightful dirty side, ready and willing to do whatever he can for the woman that has captured his heart when he thought it would never happen again.
Sandy is the amazing paragon of a matriarch we all know and love, but getting to see some of her worry, her vulnerability, well, it just made her that much stronger in my eyes, and someone that I hope I can be like one day.
I won’t go into too many of the ins and outs, but I cannot emphasize enough how happy this story has made my heart and my imagination and I am now going to go read all of the Vested Interest books again and fall in love with each and every person all over again because I can, and, you should too!
If you’re looking for a story which is about love in all its forms, with some steamy moments too, look no further, and have the tissues at the ready! It’s so worth it, I promise!
Sandy is the seventh and final book in Vested Interest Series. Sandy is the guiding force of keeping BAM running smoothly. She has become the honorary mom to the boys of BAM, and she loves, supports, and guides them when needed. But now that the boys have settled down, she’s realizes that she misses having someone to come home too. But is she ready to move on? Jordan is the numbers guy at BAM, and he’s a widow. Sandy and him have a great friendship, however lately his feeling for her are changing. Will he tell her what he’s feeling for her? This is a second chance, with raw emotion. I knew that this book was going to make me emotional mess, I love the BAM boys and gals, and I’m gonna miss them.
I really enjoyed this story. It had me laughing and crying throughout. I had not read anything in this series, but I had no trouble understanding everything going on. I loved the fact that this was an older couple and their second chance to find love. Sandy was a warm, caring person, but sad. She was finally realizing that she was lonely. Jordan was patient and understanding when it came to Sandy. Their story started as friends and, through ups and downs, became much more. They were a wonderful couple, and I recommend this book.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
Such a sweet and heartwarming story that I never wanted to end. You will laugh and also shed some tears as you witness Sandy and Jordan get well-deserved second chances at love and happiness. The author always finds the right words to hook you into her stories and fall in love with her characters. I look forward to going back and reading the other books in the series.
Meet the woman behind the men of Vested Interest! Sandy is the woman who has been the backbone of these guys and it was so perfect to see her get her happy ever after.
Sandy lost her husband Max, and is completely lost without.Jordan also works for Vested and lost his wife. Jordan is the absolute perfect match for her He understands what she is going through and doesn’t rush her into anything at all. It’s clear from the start these two have chemistry and belong together. I loved reading their relationship grow.
Moreland has this amazing way with her words. She writes such amazing, beautiful characters that I can’t help but fall in love with. I love how the guys are there for Sandy and have her back throughout this book. I think the characters have come full circle and just made this book so much more.
Sandy is a well written, quick, amazing read. Melanie Moreland gives us this amazing book about two amazing characters and the struggle that you go through after you lose someone you love. Sandy is a book about finding yourself and love after losing the person you loved most in the world.
I loved every second of Sandy. I cannot recommend Melanie Moreland and her Vested Interest series enough. Each one is better than the last and leave me wanting more of the characters.
You may want to have some tissues and what ever your preferred choice of comfort food readily available before you even crack open Sandy. If you’re like me, you’re going to end up a little bit dehydrated and needing to hit the gym after eating your feelings once you’re finished.
From the very first book in this fantastic Vested Interest series, I was extremely intrigued as to Sandy’s involvement with the BAM boys, and just what made her tick. And wanted to know who she was outside of the office—outside of running the show. Yeah, we all know Sandy’s really the one in charge at BAM.
And wow. I absolutely loved learning more. Learning how much she really and truly loved her “boys.” And just how lonely she was. That even though she was thrilled all the men of BAM had found their own way to love, she hadn’t taken the chance, the risk to fall in love again.
Until Jordan. And then all bets were off.
These two loving, lost souls found each other after major losses. And they both deserved to find love and live a full life again. I adored them and their connection. There undeniable attraction and their complete vulnerability and honesty with each other. Moving on after loss was an extremely difficult hurdle for them both to get over, but so very worth it in the end.
I kept putting off reading Sandy. I kept telling Karen that I was tired, too busy, finishing
other books. Bottom line, I didn’t want to start because I didn’t want to finish!
I didn’t want one of my all time favorite Series to come to an end! The BAM series, how could it be over?! Well, Melanie Moreland…I loved every moment, every sob, every ending and every surprise!
Sandy is the perfect ending and the perfect full circle. I still cannot pick a favorite, Bentley, Aiden,
Maddox….and so many more. But I can say, with complete confidence, that this is a series everyone should read! Thank you Melanie. Well done!
It’s never too late to live happily ever after. Sandy, the matriarch the BAM family finally gets her HEA. Sandy has been like a mother to all the men of BAM, so now it’s only fitting that they get to watch her blush with happiness. Sandy thought she only got one soulmate, but she finds out that the heart has more than enough room to love someone else; not better, but different. I have loved each book that I have read in this series, and hope to someday read the ones I haven’t read yet. I look forward to reading more HEAs from Melanie Moreland.
Sandy is the seventh and final book of the Vested Interest series. I’m sad that the series has ended now. The author amazed me with every book. Every book (just like Sandy) is filled with emotions, love and beautiful moments. I fell in love with every character and every couple. I was glad the previous couples appeared in this novel. The epilogue was just so beautiful and a great ending of the series.
It’s time for the BAM-mother, Sandy, to find love. Sandy lost her husband a few years ago and she still misses him deeply. Her smile hasn’t been the same since. Sandy did have an amazing friend in Jordan, a colleague. But one day that friendship was over, but they did remain friendly at work.
A while later, Jordan tries to pick up their friendship again and he even wants more than friendship. Sandy likes his friendship, but she’s hesitant to start a relationship. Her heart is still fragile. But Jordan is a patient man and Sandy slowly warms up to the idea of a relationship. Their relationship wouldn’t always be easy, but it will be a strong and beautiful one eventually.
Sandy and Jordan are wonderful characters. Sandy is hardworking, protective, loyal, caring and loving. She really has been a mother to the BAM men. Those men can count on her and she gives them advice. The men are there for Sandy and want her to be happy. I love the bond between them. It was beautiful to read. I was glad Sandy has found a man like Jordan to fall in love with.
Jordan is hardworking, smart, caring and protective. He lost his wife a few years ago, but he didn’t give up on love. Jordan had developed feelings for Sandy over the years, but he knew she wasn’t ready so he didn’t try anything. Jordan is such a sweetheart and gentleman when it’s about Sandy. He loves to spoil her and to make her happy. I’m glad he found love with Sandy. They are great for each other.
