From Audrey Carlan, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Calendar Girl series.San Francisco, California. Steam is rising fast in the City by the Bay.I’ve been hired to find a love match for a stunning, powerful, and lonely CEO. She’s through with being mined by gold diggers who only want her money and her body. She’s looking for love.Imagine my surprise when my business partner Royce … love.
Imagine my surprise when my business partner Royce offers himself up on a silver platter, a move that could ruin everything we’ve built—our friendship, International Guy’s reputation—and even Royce’s heart.
The thing is…he’s all wrong for her, and I know it. Royce wants to settle down, but this client is most certainly not that kind of woman.
I decide to let things play out. A man has to learn his own truths—just because you want something doesn’t mean you can have it.

When the International Guy team hit San Francisco Royce takes centre stage to a certain extent when he develops a crush on their latest client and decides that he might be just what she’s looking for. Rochelle is a high flying business woman who is looking for a love match and, after finding out the world is full of frogs rather than princes, has turned to International Guy to help her find her Mr Perfect, little realising that he might have been under her nose all along. With Royce acting completely out of character and mooning over a client, a case of embezzlement, his own burgeoning relationship with Skylar and throw in a blackmailing ex, Parker definitely has his hands full, not just with making sure they leave another satisfied client behind them, but that Royce, his ‘brother from another mother’ doesn’t get hurt or do something stupid that could have implications not only on their friendship but on their business as well.
Talk about a cliffhanger of an ending. This series really does keep getting better with each new instalment and San Francisco will definitely leave you eager to get your hands on Montreal, the next book in the series.
I’m speechless. This is as bad as the Mia & Wes heartache I had during Calendar Girl. My mind is whirling. You can probably guess, if you’ve read IG, that something’s gone awry with Sky & Parker. I won’t give away any true spoilers but just know these books have me by my ‘lady balls. I have to have confidence that Audrey Carlan will FIX it in the next stories but I don’t know how I’m gonna be on pins & needles. Montreal is next & I have that one but what do I do after that? The waiting is going to be agony.
These stories, in true Audrey Carlan fashion, are amazing. I enjoyed how we got to see more of Roy in this story & look forward to more of him in the future.
I’m going in. I’m off to Montreal. Hopefully I won’t still be wrecked but the buzz on it leads me to believe I may still be. Wish me luck!
I should get used to not being surprised at how well Audrey crafts a story! She continues to write these characters that you cannot help but want to get to know them more.
Parker Ellis is back for more in International Guy Vol. 2 and we get to see him travel to Milan, San Francisco, and Montreal this time.
San Francisco – Rochelle is a powerhouse of a business woman looking for her perfect match and thinks that IG are just the guys to help her find him. Even on the plane flying out with Royce and Parker, I knew this would be a great story with some roller coaster action. Rochelle is everything you want to see in a female character – successful, strong-willed, quick witted, and confident. Royce is immediately enamored with Rochelle, but Parker has some reservations for his friend and that causes some tension between the guys.
While in San Fran, Skyler and Parker hit a major roadblock and left me very worried for them and their relationship. We all know that long distance creates issues that traditional relationships don’t always have, but can these two overcome this?
Parker and Royce are heading to San Francisco, helping a wealthy client to find a man.
Royce had a flirty smirk on his face which to me and I know Parker noticed spells trouble. Royce has done his homework and seems to know everything about Rochelle their client.
The chemistry between Royce and Rochelle is palatable.
As Rochelle lists her must have, one leaves Royce out of the running. Parker not keen on Royce lusting after Rochelle but seriously what can he do, he slept with two of their client, one being Skyler.
I do like Parker and Skyler in this one they seem to have found their groove. The job was successful and a job well done. They found the client a good man. However, things are not so well for Parker and Skyler.
I did find I liked guys in this story, always there for each other and treat each other like brothers.
This book I adored because we got to see more into other characters of the book Royce – he’s a smooth as silk. He has decided he is ready for it all and he wants to start now and as we say in the South Bless his heart. This book cracked me up in parts not only the interactions between the Client and the IG guys but Parker and Royce having some come to Jesus moments. While Parker is slowly realizing his true feeling for Skyler. Audrey has a way with words that can make you laugh your butt off one second and want to high five the character the next. Her books are so great!
For this installment of the International Guy Series Royce accompanies Parker to San Francisco for a job. A wealthy CEO hires them to help find her a husband. She is tired of men only being interested in her for money. Royce plays a much bigger role in this job. He has a crush on the client and Parker is worried that Royce is going to get hurt. Parker and Sky are having relationship issues as well so this installment isn’t has “happy” as previous books. San Francisco gives us love, lust and embezzlement.
This book was a little different as the female client was already a strong, confident woman. The boys spent more time figuring out how to make her see what she had all along. I loved that we got to know Royce better this time around. This is such a fun series and I love that each novella brings a new and interesting client for them to help. I recommend this series, go grab book one and jump right in.
Things get really serious in this book. Not only do we start to get to know one of the men of International Guy better (finally), but there’s a new problem Sky and Parker have to face. Their relationship is nothin but problems and they need to work on their reactions to everything! This ends on a low note, unfortunately.
SAN FRANCISCO:
INTERNATIONAL GUY BOOK 5
“Love is tricky; it doesn’t follow rules and regulations, and people don’t wear signs over their heads saying ‘compatible.”
Ahhhh this series keeps getting better. The more you get to know the IG’s the more they seem like close friends and family. You feel you are a part of their story. You hurt when they hurt, laugh with their humor and want to revenge the hurt bestowed upon one of them or someone they care for.
“…this is family. When one of us gets hurt, all of us get hurt.”
This book is filled with twist and turns. Just when you think you have a handle on everything the story takes you on a different journey. You will be cheering, hurting, laughing, angry, hopeful, praying for revenge and even healing.
“Nothing in life is smooth sailing. Sometimes we have to make our own waves in order to move forward.”
I’m looking forward to MONTREAL: INTERNATIONAL GUY BOOK 6. I’m hoping it includes some of the storyline that was in San Francisco and brings some insight to certain characters (sorry no spoilers from me)!
Want.What.You.Have
International Guy: San Francisco by Audrey Carlan is the fifth book in her brand new twelve novella length series, International Guy . A series I was a little worried about reading because I initially had the impression that Parker Ellis was a cad and a womanizer. I soon learned that he is a dedicated businessman, best friend, and a devoted son who doesn’t take his emotional entanglements lightly but is NOT yet ready to settle down. Or is he?
Picking up after Milan and some more deep developments into the relationship between Parker & Skyler, we next see Parker and Royce on their latest project in San Fransisco. A successful business woman has hired the IG team to find her a life partner. A man that can be on her arm and hold his own at business functions and provide her with offspring.Sounds a little cold but she is a woman who knows exactly what she wants. Some complications arise, however, when Royce gets involved with the sexy client potentially stepping all over Parker’s matchmaking efforts. Then there is a sudden and devastating revelation from Skyler that has Parker scrambling to be at her side and be thereto protect her. But will history repeat itself?
Sexy, intense, and a very well-written and enjoyable read. Told almost entirely from Parker’s POV, this book keeps you interested in the International Guy organization and desperate to know just what on earth is going on in Parker’s head. Up next is International Guy: Montreal. Enjoy!
Audrey Carlan is pulling out all the stops up in Cali when Royce meets Rochelle. Each installment gets better and better and AC pulls me in every time like I am right there in the room with all of them. It is exciting to see Royce more up close and personal. He has such a sexy swagger and I love his deep voice that I swear I can hear out loud and not just in my head.
Chelle is a hard core all business woman that sometimes hooks up for pleasure. While you go thru her adventure to find her mate, you will get so much more then that. I loved getting to explore Parker and his brother Royce relationship and the fierce protectiveness that Parker conveys. I adore the relationship these brothers have with each other even though they made me crazy sometimes. You can feel the love these siblings have for each other flow through the pages and grab your heart and not let go.
There is drama, thievery, heartbreak, blackmail, love, and lust lost. I laughed, I cringed, I got giddy with excitement, I wanted to knock some heads together and I may have wanted to throw my kindle a time or two. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, Audrey pulls out a whopper of a twist. Hold onto your hats you are in for a delicious, angst filled ride.
San Francisco (International Guy #5) by Audrey Carlan is the fifth novella in the twelve novella International Guy series. The series follows Parker Ellis, co-owner and operator of International Guy Inc., as he and his partners, Bo and Royce, cater to elite clientele while he navigates a romantic relationship with movie star, Skyler Paige.
Location: San Francisco, USA
On the job: Parker and Royce
Client: Rochelle Renner, CEO of Renner Financial Services
Assignment: Help Rochelle find a mate.
Royce has sex with Rochelle in an attempt to fill the role as her mate, but she’s not interested in anything more with him. While Parker and Royce are at Renner Financial, it’s discovered that someone is embezzling funds and they assist with the investigation. They get Rochelle together with her friend, Keehan, after discovering that both have been in love with each other all along.
Skylar’s ex, Johan, blackmails her for fifty million dollars threatening to share some kinky naked photos and write a tell-all book about her sexual proclivities (which are actually not hers but his). Parker enlists Wendy to dig into Johan’s past to find something on him – and boy does she find something! Parker decides to surprise Skyler with a visit to tell her he loves her, but when he gets there she’s not home. Parker goes to sleep in her bed and wakes the next morning to find she never came home. When he calls Skyler, Johan answers the phone saying they spent the night together in his hotel room and that she’s in the shower. Parker tells Skyler’s security team where to find her, that it’s over between them, and that he’ll be gone before they return.
OOOH we get to go to San Francisco now. I loved living there — hated driving there!!
This novella was full of drama! I read from cover to cover so that I could know what happened. But my favorite part of this one was getting more Royce and more of the bromance that Parker and Royce have. Watching their interactions, even when they don’t agree, shows how strong their brotherhood is. I feel like we don’t usually get to see this in books. We often see the friendships that women have, or even large groups of friends hanging out but we don’t usually focus in on the friendships between men. And when they are mentioned the friendship is more “assumed” you don’t get everything that goes into it. Here we could really fell and see how deep their love for each other goes.
Hold on tight because here they go again! Roy and Parker are off to San Francisco to help CEO Rochelle find a mate. She’s had enough of men only wanting her for her wealth. She wants to find a man that will be at her beck and call and one day have an heir with to leave her fortune to. What a surprise when Parker finds that Roy wants to be one of the men in line to win over Rochelle’s heart. Working his charm, Roy and Rochelle share an intimate night, but soon what Rochelle wants and what Roy wants are two different things. As Rochelle chooses candidates, she comes to realize that what she has been looking for has been under her nose the whole time. It takes a game of cat and mouse for Rochelle to finally find what she has been searching for.
We also get to see the protective side of Parker. Parker’s the one to swoon the clients with his charm, looks, and bed side manners, so when Royce tries to do the same with Rochelle, Parker is quick to stop him in his track. Parker sees that Rochelle and Roy are both on different pages when it comes to relationships. Roy angered by Parker’s hypocrisy calls Parker out on it. Tension between the two friends builds to an all high until it is hashed out and lines are established. In the end Parker’s intention were to protect his brother who was blinded by lust and not thinking straight.
While in Cali Parker also comes to terms with his true feeling for Skyler when a threat from her past threatens to destroy her. Miles apart, Parker works with the IG team to help Skyler out. Encouraged with his findings, Parker is eager to get to his woman and share his findings as well as how he feels for her. However when he gets to New York a discovery of his own sends Parker over the edge and into darkness. How does this discovery affect Skyler and Parker’s future? In the end will there be a SkyPark?
Audrey Carlan brought to light another side of these incredible men and what family really means. She also showed us the insecurities, love, passion and how genuine their friendship/brotherhood is through the good and bad. She also showed us that sometimes we overlook what we are looking for when in reality it is front of us the whole time.
~Want what you have.~
This book was a turning point in the series in my point of view. The case they were on was fairly insignificant, but we learned more about Royce, Parker, Skyler and Wendy, which I was eager to have happen. And of course it’s time for some trouble in paradise. These books are quick, easy, light reading. Strictly for fun. Should be read in order.
Royce and Parker are headed to Cali to do matchmaking. They should have it well in hand until Royce finds himself smitten with the delectable Rochelle. Too bad her list seems to disqualify him. The IG guys are nothing if not professionals though and if a match is what she wants a match is what she’ll have. Matchmaker matchmaker make her a match her her a find catch her a IG man catch her an IG man.
I want to give Audrey Carlan ALL the STARS!
Oy my heart! Once again this series has not only kept me completely engaged but the journey and rollercoaster of emotions is everything any spectacular series needs. Only this talented author kicks things up like a thousand degrees.
In San Francisco Royce and Parker are hired to help Rochelle find a husband. She is professional, successful, wealthy, strong willed and beautiful. She has put all her time and energy into her business and hasn’t left much time to date or have romantic relationships. Royce feels an immediate attraction to Rochelle. He’s ready to find his soul mate and settle down. Parker sees things differently. Worries his friend is going to get hurt.
As these two International Guys help their client find compatible suitors and seek out who in her company is stealing – emotions run high, bonds of love and devotion become clear – Rochelle’s perfect match is revealed.
Will Royce find what he’s looking for? Will he and Parker butt heads?
In the mean time SkyPark continue their delicious long distance relationship. However once again, they endure hiccups along the way. Will these two make it work? Will they get the chance to admit their feelings to each other face to face?
You must read on to find out! This series just keeps getting better and better!
