Seven years ago, she was sheltered. In need of guidance. I was a newly-ordained priest with a vow of celibacy. Our love affair was torrid, and wrong, and ended in heartbreak. We broke it off and went our separate ways. I left the priesthood. She left her home. Seven years later, she’s stranded in my NYC Club while a blizzard rages outside, and she wants a taste of dominance. I won’t let another … dominance.
I won’t let another man lay eyes on her, much less touch her.
She’s still my everything. My salvation.
And there’s no way I’m letting her go…

I really liked this story of second chances. The characters were likeable and the blending of the past and the present really helped bring the characters to life. There isn’t a lot of drama in this one, but the intensity of the romance makes it a fast paced story. This is a nice addition to the series, but would definitely work well as a standalone too.
Salvation is the fourth book in the NYC Doms series, but can enjoyed completely if you start here. Chandra is an erotic romance author, but lately her muse has been quiet. Taking a chance, she goes to a BDSM club with her friend, where is shocked to find Axel. She used to know him as Father Noah, the man who introduced the submissive side of romance to her, the man who stole and crushed her heart, the man she still loves. As they are forced to spend time together, is everything they’re feeling just due to closure, or can they have their second chance at so much more?
Oh my goodness, this book took my breath away, had my heart pounding, and I even had tears in my eyes once or twice! This is a beautiful second chance romance where before, they were both a little broken and everything was taboo, but now is their chance to do things right. This book had all of the feels, and I loved the main storyline between Chandra and Axel. I love that Chandra wore her heart on her sleeve, that she was feisty enough to question things, brave enough to do the things she loved like writing, but completely submissive to Axel, whom she loves and trusts. Axel was just this tortured soul that you couldn’t help but want to love, and I think my favorite thing about him was that he never took Chandra’s love and submission for granted. This book is hot and steamy, sweet and romantic, and I really loved coming back to Verge and the Doms that will steal your heart!
A PHENOMENAL, character-centered, erotic ROMANCE is full of suspense, and STEAM! A MUST-BUY!
“SALVATION,” author Jane Henry’s latest addition to her NYC Doms Series, is a scintillating titillation into the world of a BDSM club. (So those under 18 years of age need not apply.) Now, after reading “SALVATION,” I know that if ever I get to NYC, there is only one place I want to visit, and that is Club VERGE. The way author Jane Henry brings Club VERGE to life, weaving it into a reader’s reality with her smooth yet descriptive eloquence, it ought to be a place one could visit while in The City. Add to the place, some amazingly realistic and well-developed characters, who become embroiled in some drama that could have come off of the front page of The City’s newspaper. Through dual narration, Henry gives her readers insight into the psyche, intellect and angst of her characters, who though flawed are striving to be better, to be worthy of the love they yearn to give and receive. Characters Chandra and Axel were easy to fall in love with; so, rooting for their happily ever after felt inevitable. In addition, readers are given the treat of catching up with characters from the previously released novels within the “NYC Doms Series.” Beyond the characters, “SALVATION’s” plot is so realistic! It’s all twisty and turning like the drama of real life, and that compelling plot demanded this reader finish the novel before I could put my Kindle down. Within “SALVATION” is a layer of suspense that Henry develops slowly, in the background, yet concurrently is totally visible to a reader. However, when the trap is sprung it may surprise even the most discerning readers! It is no wonder that “SALVATION” is my newest favorite contemporary, erotic romance novel. I voluntarily read an ARC copy of “SALVATION” and this is my honest, voluntary review of a 5++STAR story. I STRONGLY suggest that you get your copy of “SALVATION” today. You will be so glad you did! Happy pages!
Ooooh … what a deliciously steamy second-chance romance!
Noah – now called Axle – and Chandra had an intense love affair years before, one that cost him his future as a priest and forced her to leave her family. Now, they meet by chance at the BDSM club in NYC where Axle is a member, and Chandra is researching the lifestyle for one of her romance novels that she writes. To say these two have unfinished business is an understatement!
A blizzard hits just in time to force these two to stay inside Verge, by themselves, long enough to break down their walls and break through any resistance. This story was simply amazing, start to finish. Both characters are relatable, likable, and completely sympathetic. Theirs is a magic love story, a relationship that never should have been derailed in the first place. The journey they take to their HEA is equal parts emotionally cathartic and joyously triumphant.
This is a superb installment in the author’s NYC Doms series, and it might just be the best yet. I swooned over Axle and admired Chandra for pulling her life together on her own. Lovely, lovely story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
What is better than a broken hero? One who gets a second chance.
Axle’s character development is inspiring, the growth is gradual and convincing. The demons from his past haunts and shapes him. Despite that, he retains his caring and dominant character. A chance meeting with his old flame, Chandra, brings out the OTT alpha in him.
Chandra is no slouch either despite being a sub. Her deep feelings for Axle seems like a lifetime ago but the embers were always lurking around. Their encounters are smoking hot as they navigate the complications of their feelings.
Salvation is steamy and kinky, with the right amount of tenderness and suspense.
Taboo second chance at love BDSM romance
Jane Henry’s Salvation is the newest addition to her NYC Doms series. While characters from the previous book do show up as secondary characters it’s not necessary to have read their stories to enjoy and follow Axel(Noah) and Chandra’s story.
From the moment Axel and Chandra become aware of each other at the club the air sizzles. I read the book in one sitting anxious to learn their back story. There was a underlying suspense plotline that kept the story moving as our couple rediscovered one another and healed old hurts.
I received an advance reader copy.
I came late to this party, even though this is the fourth book in NYC Doms, it’s the first one I’ve read of the series so believe me when I say there was no miss step or lack of information with these characters.
Noah knew from an early age he enjoyed the thoughts and urges he had of wanting to spank girls. He carried those mental pictures with him. When he started mentally chastising himself and feeling it was wrong, he confessed them to the priest. He was immediately told to stay away from any temptation that would bring about those feelings. When they still wouldn’t go away, he became a priest thinking the celibacy would take care of the issue. Until he met her one day sitting on the steps of the rectory in tears. What fate has in store for these two is filled with friendship, love, heart break, fear and terror. This is a second chance romance with personalities and BDSM scenes between a D/s that certainly relatable. Now I’m hooked on the series and just need to back track and read books 1-3.
Received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review…..
Second chance relationship between an ex-priest and the “Eve” that brought him down. Intriguing storyline, Axel and Chandra were well developed compelling characters. The book moves quickly, has some interesting twists and turns. Another great Doms of NYC book.
I loved this book and I must say that this series just gets better and better. This BDSM, second chance romance is filled with heavy helpings of heat, heart and naughtiness. The attraction, chemistry and straight up sizzle factor between Shandra and Noah/Axel is at nuclear levels. While the emotions and connection they share are powerful and poignant. The story itself is so juicy and intense. The past history that these two shared provides a complex and complicated base for the beginnings of a new relationship. A simply excellent read that offers a stunning blend of drama, emotional turmoil, spice, sweetness, tenderness, passion and romance.
This has been my favorite NYC Dom series book so far! I loved Axle! I would have loved to see more steamy flashbacks/memories of their earlier relationship but I devoured what we did get! Great read!
Book 4 in the NYC Doms series, but you can read it as a standalone without any problems.
This is the story of Chandra and DM Axle. They meet by chance at the club after not seeing eachother for 7 years. Theirs was a forbidden love and I loved the flashbacks into their past and seeing how they go together and how it ended.
I loved the fact that Chandra writes kinky books for a living and Axle was more then willing to give her inspiration for her books. Their relationship showed a different kind of BDSM relationship then in the previous books. This isn’t much focus on play, but more of a gentle and service oriented submission. And it gives Chandra the structure she needs. I enjoyed seeing them interact together.
If I am honest I could have done without the secondary storyline. It didn’t add anything to the actual story.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to write about BDSM clubs and do research on them? Well then this book is what you are seeking. Claudia is a writer who needs to do research for her latest book. Salvation follows her through the writing process and gives us readers some insight on how it is to write about a topic that is not always accepted. Axel is hiding from his past. But you truly cannot hide from your past, and Axel’s catches up to him. A huge storm brings this odd couple together. Their relationship is hot, heavy and most certainly kinky, for research of course! Or is it only for research? Putting this book down, is NOT an option. The twists will capture your mind and make you question ever new character introduced. Trust is earned and until the end, I was unsure who could be trusted.
Jane Henry has once again brought this series to a new level. I enjoyed get insights into writing about BDSM clubs and her hints at some possible struggles. Salvation is my new favorite book!!
Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St Claire totally nailed the narration of this book. Gunnar is the perfect Axel. With his deep voice, he makes Axel the strong Dominant he needs to be. Jenna creates a curious, and sweet Claudia. Jenna brought Claudia to life. I felt as if I was right there inside the book. The chemistry between Gunnar and Jenna shine through in their narration and characters. Axel and Claudia’s relationship was hotter because of it. Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St Claire made this story well worth the listen.
Ok I love Club Verge and their Doms and Noah/Axel is no acception this was one hot story. Noah and Chandra have a forbidden past and it was shamed, now still living the loss of each other in their thoughts they meet again under circumstances I’ll call it fate because it was a true miracle, they are both so beautiful God I loved it.This second chance is everything as Axle shows Chandra the right way to be submissive for her research to a Dom who truly cares and I loved how her saucey mouth pushed all his buttons. Beautifully written and all the feels from page one.
This book is a great addition to the NYC Doms series. Axle and Chandra were in love a long time ago and when circumstances tore them apart, they never quite moved on from their love. They were each living a different life and going through the motions but missing something. When they are reunited, you can feel the love they shared for each other in everything that happens going forward. Axel is more than just a dom to Chandra. He knows what she needs and craves inside and out and she makes him whole again. This is a beautiful second chance love story and Jane, once again, did a wonderful job. The book is a standalone, but if you haven’t read the other books in this series, I highly recommend them. This book will help you catch up with some of the other members of the club, Verge. Great read!
Jane Henry delivers another tale in the world of Doms and Subs. This one has an intriguing storyline that takes you through time to where the two met and it all began. A sad, lonely girl afraid of the arranged marriage her parents have made for her and the life she will be forces to live, finds herself falling for the young handsome Catholic priest thats new to the area.
He as well finds himself struggling with what he feels for her, the girl that draws him like a moth to the flame and brings out the very thing that drove him to the church to begin with.
Love however is sometimes not enough and life drags them apart and everything changes.
Years later they run into each other in the least likely place. And it’s like nothing has changed. But can they make it work this time, without the guilt, and let go of the past? Definitely an unexpected read with enough kink to make it very memorable. I rate it at more of a 4.5 stars so it’s not too far off five stars!
This is a fascinating story of two people, Chandra and Axle, who knew each other once upon a time in another place, and another life. They fortuitously meet again, many years later at Verge, a BDSM club. It was easy to feel their sadness mixed with a bit of guilt at what was past, then their surprise at having met again. Ultimately, I found myself seduced by their mounting erotic anticipation, as it developed into a passionate dominant/submissive relationship.
I was entranced by the thought process of Chandra, a first time sub, and empathetic to both Axle and Chandra, who, at a young age, were made to believe that their desires were warped, depraved, and needed to be annihilated. And I felt elated to see that, in different ways and to different degrees, they were able to bypass that negativity to accept and acknowledge their true self. I admire Axle’s dominance, and envy Chandra’s submission.
Although this book is part of a series, it really did not matter. It was totally wonderful and complete as a standalone. This story was full of beauty, sensuality and smoldering passion, centered within the trust-filled power exchange of a loving BDSM relationship.
You know it’s a good author when by the time you finish the book you already want more!!!
This was emotional, parts were heartbreaking, some sexiness and an all around amazing story!
Axle…..prefer this name thank you very much! He had some past issues that haunted him, she was one of them.
Chandra had no clue what she was in for when she entered Verge……can we say life changing???
Can the past mistakes be forgiven? Is forgiveness possible? Let’s just say I really enjoyed reading this and finding out the answers!!
I’m just hoping we get more in the future, nothing like getting me invested in other characters……that was the plan, right??? Lol, I’m happy to be hooked!!
This is the part where I confess that I don’t usually read taboo stories. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure they’re quite enjoyable but with my out of control TBR stash coupled with my general go-to genres, I don’t usually get around to the taboo. Until this past weekend. Yep, I took that step and absolutely loved it. Okay, it helps that it’s a Jane Henry story because she has the amazing ability to give you a massive case of the feels coupled with all the sexy-wexy stuff that will have you nibbling your nail, reaching for the wine (or chocolate), and finding excuses not to go anywhere so you can sit back and read. You are in for a real treat with “Salvation”, part of the NYC Doms series, where we meet Chandra and Axle and fall a bit in love with their second chance at a HEA. And since (some) confessions are good, I will add that these two are currently my favorite pair in this series.
This is an easy quick read which takes you into the world of BDSM. Chandra first met Axle (was Noah at the time) seven years ago when he was priest and she was engaged (an arranged marriage). However, back then the affair they had left them both ostracized from their community. Axle left the priesthood, Chandra was branded a “scarlet women” never got married (her Fiance ran off with another women) and moved away. The affair ended leaving both with broken hearts, however they both moved on in life. Chandra now writes books, with a BDSM theme, Axle a motor repair shop. When Chandra goes to a BDSM club the last person she expects to meet there is Axle. Now with a blizzard raging she is trapped in the club with Axle they start to re-kindle their relationship, this time with Chandra as submissive and Axle as her Dom. But, their earlier affair comes back to bite them.
Second chance lovers…yes please!
Axle and Chandra, two souls floating through life without their other half.
Chandra was just looking for research to write her books. Axle was just doing his job, watching over the club. They were once lovers but forced from each other because others deemed their relationship a sin. Now they are back together and no one will separate them again.
The love between these two is so strong. She needs his dominance and he needs to protect her in every sense.
Jane has once again gifted us with a sexy and gripping book. I know I’ll be reading it again and again!
