Ancient church rituals meet cutting-edge crime-solving in this thriller in the #1 New York Times bestselling series featuring NYPSD Lieutenant Eve Dallas.Seconds after partaking of wine during a Catholic funeral mass, Father Miguel Flores is dead on the altar. Detective Lieutenant Eve Dallas confirms that the consecrated wine contained enough potassium cyanide to kill a rhino. And though the East … rhino. And though the East Harlem neighborhood is a long way from the stone mansion she shares with her billionaire husband Roarke, it’s the holiness flying around St. Christobal’s that makes her uneasy.
The autopsy reveals faint scars of knife wounds, a removed tattoo—and evidence of plastic surgery suggesting “Father Flores” may not be the man his parishioners thought. Now, as Eve pieces together clues that suggest identity theft, gang connections, and a deeply personal act of revenge, she hopes to track down whoever committed this unholy act. Until a second murder—in front of an even larger crowd of worshippers—knocks the whole investigation sideways…

I’m a J D Robb fan. Roberts did her magic again
I just love this series!! Love the characters and the solving of chilling crimes. It’s the triumph of good over evil.
The first series I read after a 20 year break. I have read all 46 books and feel like I know the main characters personally. Nora Roberts, as JD Robb, does police procedural s better than any other writer!!
Great mystery and tons of fun. Never dull.
As with all of J.B. Robb’s books featuring Lt. Dallas and her husband Roark, the crime draws you in on the first page. These characters and the endings never disappoint.
JD Robb is my favorite author! Usually read her books in 2-3 days! Then Nora Roberts of course
Love Eve! Butt kicking, loyal, no nonsense cop in the future. These are set in NY City, and every one has delivered!
I loved all of J.D. Robb’s books, I can’t wait for the next story. Her characters are hard, but they have moments of caring, and softness.
Love J D Robb books, all of them are great
LOVE JD Robb! Lt Dallas is my hero!
As usual JD Robb brings us another winner. These characters are family to me and I love each new book. This was an especially intetesting one because of the writer writing about a writer who is second guessing another writer. Kudos!!!
Love In Death series, own them all.
I read all JDRobb books and enjoy!!!
I love reading this series! It is fast paced and fun to read. I also enjoy how the characters continue to develop.
I love J.D. Robb. I’ve read and re-read all of the books in this series.
I have read several of the “in Death” series. Love the futuristic aspects and well developed characters of Eve and Roark.
I love Eve Dallas and crew. My favorite is the growth and progression of one of my favorite characters
