RatchetWhen I stake my claim on Sam, she drugs me, steals my money and runs off like a frightened rabbit on a rainy night at Bike Week. I was determined to find her again, and when I do she’s with Sid and the Hell Hounds MC. She’s the Real I never knew I needed. I don’t give a damn what she’s done to survive. I will protect what’s mine and keep her safe from the Hell she escaped from.SamI was … from.
Sam
I was property of the Hell Hounds MC. Used, violated, abused. I knew I’d be good as dead if I didn’t escape Sid and the club. So I ran and tried to blend in with rowdy crowds at Bike Week. But then the huge scruffy biker who called himself Ratchet of the Chaos Kings MC claimed me as his, I ran from him. I dreaded and hoped I would see him again. He showed me kindness with his touch that took my breath away, and made my body tingle.

Linny Lawless has given us characters that you can’t help but love. Salvation In Chaos is Ratchet and Sam’s story. It’s all about these two characters growing love and learning how to live with tragedy touching them. Ratchet is determined to save Sam from a rival club and Sam’s determined to show Rachet that he’s not responsible for the tragedy in his past. It’s a great all around story and I can’t wait to move into book 2.
This was a fast paced, entertaining, suspenseful ride. Ratchet and Sam both discovering that their pasts do not define them, and that they can move towards a brighter, Beautiful future.
This is my first foray into the written world that Linny Lawless has created. I must say it is refreshing to read about an MC that isn’t a 1% MC or an MC that deals in bad things without going too far.
Since this was this authors first book I am going to hold off on a true review. My main criticism was the dialogue, Especially during the sexy times. Not natural and lacking flow.
The story was nice but I think it could have been expanded. More depth. But I think this was a good start and I am going to read book 2 in the series.
While on a run for bike week Satchel and his brother Gunner ride by themselves for a while .They stop at a bar that bikers frequent during bike week.As ratchet looks around he sees a beautiful young woman with plump lips that make him think of all the dirty things he’s like to do to her.He tells gunner he’s gonna go for it.When a burly, biker pins the beauty to the bar whispering stuff in her ear she looks scared to death that’s when Ratchet goes up an says back off my property. She runs off while he’s talking to the biker.Sam runs outside it’s raining hard and she freezes she has no money an no where to go and she knows if Sid finds her shell be beat in within an inch of her life.Ratchet comes up to her an says little rabbit I’m not gonna hurt you let’s go to my room we can get some sleep an take it from there.Ratchet doesn’t know what it is but he wants to protect this beauty. There are so many twists and turns to this story will keep you riveted until the very last page.I can hardly wait to see what’s next by this multi talented author.
What a great start to this book series. This will blow you away and have you wanting more of this series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review……..
I’ve not read Linny Lawless before, but I’m now hooked on a new MC series! Ratchet and Sam are well written, intriguing characters, with heartbreaking backstories. The book is fast paced, has some twists, and some interesting secondary characters. I can’t wait to know more about the CKMC!! Great Read
This is book one in this series and it gives readers Sam and Ratchet’s story. Sam’s life is tragic and heartbreaking. It was impossible not to feel for everything that she has suffered and what she can’t seem to escape from. Ratchet was very likable. True hero material with the way he acted and how he felt about Sam. This is an intense read, filled with drama, danger, action, excitement, emotion and heart. This is a promising start to this series and I look forward to future entries in this series.
I really liked the way the plot and characters were developed in this book. Ratchet is in an MC but his club isn’t a one percent club. The club looks out for each other and those their club members care about.
Sam came from a horrible upbringing and was left to the Hell Hounds MC which is a mean one percent club that mistreats women and their club is supported by illegal activities. The life she has lived in the club shows how the club feels that women are only good to be used and abused. She sees her chance to escape and takes off to try to get away from Sid and the rest of the Hell Hounds. Of course her escape will not be taken lightly by Sid and the club will be on the lookout for her.
Sam runs into Ratchet and they go back to his hotel room where she drugs him and steals money in attempt to get further away. She is picked up shortly by the Hell Hounds and is punished for her leaving. She escapes again and ends up with the Chaos MC again but because Sid and the Hell Hounds are hell bent on getting her back she realizes she is risking the safety of Ratchet’s club and any friends she has made along the way.
I recommend you read to see what else happens to Sam and the struggles that she must endure at the hands of the Hell Hounds and what happens with Ratchet who is determined to find her an get her away from those animals the Hell Hounds. Must read!

Sid, the Hell Hounds MC VP, is a man that knows no bounds. His cruelty has given him and his Club a reputation to instil fear. Sam is his property and main punching bag. When he’s finished torturing her he allows the men in the club to have free rein to do with her what they wish. Sam makes the decision to finally break free during Bike Week. She believes this her best chance to blend in and make her escape. What she doesn’t count on is catching the eye of of another Biker.
Ratchet is a member of the Chaos Kings MC. His Club does not participate in the humiliation and mistreatment of women. When sweet Sam crosses his path, he can’t help being drawn to her. He can tell she’s running from something and he feels the need to protect her.
Will Sam find safety and protection in Ratchet’s arms or is she destined to be the property of the Hell Hounds MC forever?
I thoroughly enjoyed this debut book and first installment of the Chaos King MC series. I look forward to reading more by Linny Lawless.
This debut author fresh on the scene with a read that has excitement and the MC brand of crazy we all know and love. While the story is a good read some lead way is granted with the debut novel as this author gets her footing. The story is a good one although a little choppy and stilted in places this author makes it work. Sam is running from a club that has tortured, abused, whore’d her out, used her for drug runs and basically felt all women were good for. When she does escape she finds Ratchet. The Chaos Kings MC club is nothing like the Hell Hounds, but Sam made the VP look bad when she escaped and you know what happens when a MC is made to look bad.
This new on the scene author did well in her debut novel and I will most definitely be reading more. The fact that her book is a great balance of intrigue, action, attraction, and story is a great start. Can’t wait for more.
I really enjoyed this story. The building of the characters is really good. Ratchet and Rabbit are perfect for each other. I liked all of the biker lingo. I did take away a star because it needs editing. This is something I don’t normally out in a review, but this needs to be stated. I do recommend this book. Yes I will read book 2
Spicy, sexy, mysterious, intimidating, intriguing are words that describe this book and the characters in it. This is my first book from this author and I couldn’t put it down. The story grabs you from page one and leaves you eager to find out what will happen next. The main characters are well developed and the layers of their personalities slowly unfold throughout the book. It takes you on a wonderful adventure of danger, sex, money, and blood leaving you wanting more.
I received this ARC from Instafreebie for my honest review. This is a new author for me.
The 20th Annual Bike Week was being held on the Eastern Maryland Coastline. Ratchet and his buddy an MC brother named Gunner had driven 300 miles from Virginia to be here. They’d just arrived at the local bar when he sees a woman who looks like a scared rabbit sitting across the horseshoe bar being bothered by another biker. While he’s telling the dude to stay away from his property, she takes off. Thinking she wants to be chased and caught, he goes after her and offers to take her where ever she needs to go since it’s raining only to find out she doesn’t have a place to go. The go to his hotel room to get warm and dry having a few drinks from his flask to help warm up. It was apparent his little rabbit was running or hiding from something or someone when after one kiss she freaks and asks him not to hurt her. The Chaos Kings didn’t treat their women like sheep. Yes, they could wear properties signifying they belonged to a club member and it was all in respect and high regard. Women were never beaten or used in any way for money, or drugs or anything else for illegal gain. If a woman was mistreated by a member, the Chaos Kings gave a good beat down, and the piece of shit was kicked out of the club. Next thing he knows, he’s waking up with a drug hangover, $500 missing, and his little rabbit had run.
The Hell Hounds were a diamond club. A one percenter club. An outlaw club. Their Virginia chapter resided in the same county as the Chaos Kings. They made their money in dealing meth, and prostitution. Every member had a criminal record, from drugs, prostitution, robbery, to assault, rape and even charges of murder, but no convictions. The Steel Cage, a strip club across the county line, was their main hang out. There were rumors about suspicious illegal shit conducted behind closed doors at the club. Sometimes I heard ties to Russian Mafia. Sid was the Vice President of the Hell Hounds MC. He was sadistic and liked to hurt Sam in any way he could without killing her. She was pretty much his property and he could do things to her without anyone stopping him. He used her in every conceivable way, whether to help push drugs or pass her around for even more money. Some people called him Sadistic Sid.
I’m hoping there are more books to follow this one building on the characters and sub characters in this story. I think Linny Lawless has done an outstanding job with a story that flows and character, sub-characters, that are relatable, not to mention several side stories along the way. Well worth the journey to find a new author.
This is a new author to me and let me tell you I loved every last word of this book. I cannot wait to read more from Linny. I loved Ratchet and Sam and boy was this a hot read. These two go through so much together. I was so excited when things started following in to place for Ratchet and Sam. Sam is ‘owned’ by Sid and his club and would go above and beyond to get her back. Ratchet wants her for himself and to protect her. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. This is a must read! Go get your copy today, you wont be sorry I promise.
Ratchet heads to Bike Week along with a brother looking for a good time. Little does he know that his life is about to change when a little brunette catches his attention. He saves her from a drunk and give her a ride. In return she picks his pocket and changes his life. Sam is running, running from her life and hoping to make it far away from the Hell Hounds MC. Beaten and worse, she doesn’t think she will survive much more. When Ratchet helps her, she hates to steal from him but if she doesn’t, she is as good as dead. When she runs into him a week later, she is right back where she started. But Ratchet knows exactly what’s going on and he isn’t going to rest until Sam is safe.
A lot of MC romances are gritty and violent and some give you a lighter look, the brotherhood and family being key. Linny Lawless is able to do both in her Chaos Kings MC series. Salvation in Chaos, the first in the series, got my attention. I really enjoyed how she was able to craft a romance with what would normally be your average characters and make them fresh. Sam and Ratchet captured my heart and I loved their whole journey. I was very intrigued by all the guys of the MC and so glad that she is continuing the series. If you enjoy MC romances, I highly recommend the Chaos Kings!
This book started out really slow for me. It was hard to like the characters and get to know who they were. But the author turned it around and the characters became likable, the story became a page turner, I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen. The scenes between Sam and Ratchet were fan yourself hot! Started out as a 3 star but became a 4 star. This author is new to me, I will be reading more of her work.
Ratchet and Sam will draw you in to their world so deep that you feel the rumble of the bikes, smell the leather and taste the whiskey for yourself.
I was given a copy of Salvation in Chaos to review. I couldn’t stop reading!
It only took a second for me to want Ratchet chasing after me. The pain, the scars, the heartache that you feel for Ratchet and Sam has you praying for their Happily Ever After. It makes you appreciate the brotherhood of the motorcycle clubs and their fierce protection of what’s theirs – good or bad. But, it’s the little things that have you turning the pages: the new friendships, the ‘first times’ they experience, something as simple as a cat… You won’t regret immersing yourself in the world of Ratchet and Sam.
