“I love books written with an early English setting, especially if they’re well done, and this one is.”-Voracious Reader

Love well-written historical novels. This one focuses on the plight of women in medieval England, where even an intelligent, capable and resourceful woman is at the mercy of almost any man with access to those in power. Fortunately our heroine has an ally whose honor leads to love and salvation.
Salvation is a well written inspirational story set in the medieval times. The storyline and plot were well developed and moved the story forward at an exciting pace. There were many twist and turns and a cast of intriguing characters. What I enjoyed most was how the author weaves an entertaining tale filled with biblical truths and how these truths helped guide her characters. Favorite quotes that were meaningful to me:
“None of us are perfect in the eyes of the Lord and, at times, we need to be reminded of our shortcomings and receive correction” – this may seem an odd quote to like but for me it shows how much God loves us that He uses this to help us grow stronger and more Christlike.
“Besides our God, I love no other as much as I love and adore you and our unborn babe. You pointed me back to God who has given me Salvation. I am most blessed…”
I loved this series. Once I read the first one, I just had to read the other three. I’ll be reading some more from this author. Good! Good!
Salvation was an enjoyable inspiring story. It told about faith, courage, caring about others and finding your way through difficult challenges in life.
Pretty good plot. Found myself lost a couple times. Some details not always clearly conveyed, and sometimes received details where I found myself wondering what was the point of that? Otherwise, good overall read with good plot twists and surprises. And enjoyable read.
Oliva Rae’s Salvation is an inspiring read and will absolutely make you want to read the entire series! A must read!
Independent, faithful woman meets strong, doubtful man.
This author was new to me. I read the first 3 of the series and really enjoyed them. They explore themes of faith and especially what happens when the plan God has for you might be different than you expected. How you have to forgive yourself to move on. And how everyone is worthy of God’s love.
Faith and doubt are themes throughout the series but there is plenty of action to keep things moving. Recommend for 14 and up. Ravishment and married relations are mentioned but not described.
I Enjoyed the book very much. It goes to show that you can have a great book without filthy language and X rated sex scenes.
Thoroughly enjoyed the book. It was a bit different than ones I have normally read.
I read it in one sitting, it kept my interest!
No one does gallant knights and strong heroines like Olivia Rae. Rae transports me back in time effortlessly. You can count on a happy ending, too.
Loved this book.
The book “Salvation” was a great historical read. Strong female character. political intrigue added to the plot
Believable characters. Puts Gods word out there. You won’t be disappointed.
I loved this book from the beginning. I also ordered the four after that even though this is stand alone book and am reading Adoration now, the last of this series. Olivia Rae is a wonderful historian and writer and if you like kings, knights, etc., then go for this book. I just want more and more by this writer and looking forward to her work!!!! I was never one for this type of writing but I AM HOOKED!
My kind of reading, really enjoyed reading. Great ending!
Maybe a little too much conflict between the times and today’s expectations. the ending fell a little flat. Great story but could be better written.
not realistic
Downloaded book, but unable to access it. Usually don’t have trouble.
Though this book was entertaining, I felt like there were holes to the story. I’m not sure if this was a 2nd book in the series but that’s how it read.
