Hi! I’m Belle and I’m just about to turn 18 and you know what? I could not care less!Being stuck in this loop of taking care of my mom and working nonstop to pay the bills that only seem to pile up – I just cannot handle anything else going wrong. Unfortunately for me, my life is about to change forever. Turns out that I am the prophesied Holy Warrior that will prevent Lilith (yeah, THE Lilith) … (yeah, THE Lilith) from starting the apocalypse and taking over the world. Some higher being decrees that it’s up to me, and my oh so tasty seven mates, to take down Lilith before it’s too late. Now not only will I have to find my scattered mates, battle a horde of demons, and fulfill the prophecy – these men have seriously awakened my libido, which is both fun and problematic.
Needless to say, I am struggling to keep my head above water. Let’s hope I can beat the apocalyptic clock and save the world. Should be easy, right?
Saintly Virtues is the first in The Seven Sins and Saints trilogy. It is a full length Paranormal RH where the main character doesn’t have to choose. 18+ for sexual situations, swearing and mentions of abuse.

This is one intriguing storyline. It draws you in and keeps you glued to the edge of your seat. It is a story full of action, drama, suspense, mystery and sexy scenes. It is one that has you laughing at times and feeling the pain and anguish at other times. The descriptions are vivid and personalities are felt throughout the story. I loved Belle and her crew of mates. This is definitely a must read and doesn’t disappoint!!!!!!!
This is an imaginative way to fight the seven deadly sins, without being super religious. Loving all the sexy as sin men in Belle’s Harem. Looking forward to continuing the story in the next book in the series. Well done! !
Belle is turning 18 soon and when she does her life is going to get flipped upside down! Turns out she is the Holy Warrior and she has to find the 7 saints(her mates) that are scattered all over the place. It is prophesied that Belle and the Saints are to fight Lilith and her 7 deadly sins. If Belle and the Saints don’t succeed there will be an apocalypse. Will Belle find all the Saints? Will they defeat Lilith and the sins? Grab a book to find out! This is an awesome read and has action, steam, suspense….Can’t wait to read the next book!
Wow, hard to believe this is a debut novel. It’s got a great story line, hot as hell (pardon the pun) and I can’t wait for Part 2!
The heroine has a fabulous sense of humour, which I suppose you would need, if at 18 you found the fate of the world rests on your shoulders, plus she tends to find herself in embarrassing situations! I loved this as it lightened the book and really endeared her to me. Her Saints (hero sidekicks) all have their strengths, and definitely leave you wanting more! This story looks set to be one to blast you into the stratosphere! Book 1 we get to meet Belle and her Saints, so let the Battle commence!
Counting down for Book 2
Hot damn! What a heavenly sinful read!!!
I absolutely love this!! I don’t normally read angel and demon books but this? Gets an A++ from me!!!
The story was great most of the time the flow was well paced out, there were times for me where it felt like it just jumped straight in but it has its reasons which are then explained when the pace evens out again which I found was a nice surprise and keeps you on your toes.
Definitely some surprising moments and twists. I also love the play on a story the world knows in some form or another and how closely yet uniquely twisted it’s told to the actual tale. The play on a story we hear so much about was awesome but what I liked most was the misconceptions! We almost never hear of the saintly virtues so seeing the minor players so to speak have their moment was awesome.
I am a huge paranormal buff but there was definitely a creature in here I had never heard before so that something fresh and new for me drew me into the story even more. The characters were well defined and thought out. You can plainly see their individuality through the whole book. The banter, Witt and humour was a nice touch. It definitely gave the story more life and didn’t seem like it was forced and balanced out the overall urgency and heavy events.
The world building was well done. I would have like maybe a couple more instances were they used their powers or even another action scene to give it that extra sprinkle of something and get the heart pumping but all in all this was a fantastic read and definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a action packed steamy read.
Well done S A Mackenzie this was a great book and I can’t wait for the next in the series!!! This definitely caught my attention!
OMG!! I absolutely LOVED the first book in this installment, I can’t WAIT to get my hands on the others! Belle, is so spunky, she has a sassy side about her that I ABSOLUTELY love! Not your typical saintly read!! I love Belle and her mates, they pull you in and really tug at those heart strings This story takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions you feel love, heartache, sadness, joy, and even humor. Don’t get me started on those steamy make you sweat moments! I am a HUGE fan of different points of view in a story, you get to see different perspectives and that is one thing that ALWAYS holds my attention. I truly can’t wait to continue this journey. Great installment to a great story!! S.A. I can’t wait to see what else you have in store for this saintly story!
If you are looking for a book that will be serious, make you cry, laugh and oh my get steamy. THAN YOU NEED THIS BOOK IN YOUR LIFE!
We will meet Belle and follow her journey. It is one crazy journey, I was laughing out loud and wishing I was Belle in some instances. So she finds out that she is special and needs to find her saints to help her defeat evil. Oh boy does she find her sexy saints or they find her. Hey don’t let her touch skin cause it gets crazy but totally worth it. When she gets her wings, that is the best and I still laugh at that. Belle, even though she has been saving herself, she sure does have a mind stuck in the gutter and is hilarious. I cannot wait to read what is in store for her and her saints.
We meet Belle on the day of her 18th Birthday…and everything goes up in smoke from there.
I maintain that my favorite character of this book is Luke and it’s going to stay that way *side eye*
Over the course of this book we meet Belle’s beaus through various means and by the end of the book we get a decent glimpse into Lilith and where the series could be going.
The book does end on a cliffhanger which makes the reader question…what could Lilith have corrupted?!?!
Saintly Virtues was my first supernatural reverse harem book and I am now obsessed. This book is really unique and a good take a a classic story line. I have read books with plots based around Lilith, Lucifer, Angels, and Heaven and Hell but this spin is to good. I discovered reverse harem books a little over a year ago and was scared to dive in to the supernatural books but this book has me wanting to read more!
The book starts out with Belle a typical human girl on the eve of what she hopes to be an uneventful 18th Birthday. Belle has been living a less the glamorous life with a sick mom and a job she most work to survive. So when she arrived home to listen to her mom tell her a tale of her Angelic heritage she quickly came to the conclusion her mom’s illness took a turn for the worse. She escapes to her best friends for the day but returns to a stranger in her home telling her the same story as her mom. She angry, upset and just ready for bed and her birthday to come and go. When she wakes up with an awful pain she realizes quickly the stories weren’t stories but reality and her life just got flipped upside down.
Belle now most face the biggest change in her life along side a huge tragedy. Will her destiny help keep her on track to save the world? Will her new friend guide her to safety or steer her to doom? Will finding her seven mates make her heart whole again? Will the new Belle be able to handle all this change?
Saintly Virtues is a most read and I honestly can’t wait for book two!
Belle is a human, or so she thinks but that all changes on her 18th birthday, suddenly she’s the saviour of the human race from Lilith.
I liked Belle as a character, at first I though she was meek and mild but she’s strong and will stand up for herself when needed. Its insta-love when she meets her mates and she can’t take her hands off them. All the guys are likeable but different in their own way.
I will definitely be reading the second book.
What an exciting first installment in this new series by this exciting new author!!
Our story centers on freshly-adulted Belle, whose day to day existence of the mundane and tragic just-getting-by shifts radically when she discovers on her 18th birthday that she’s the Holy Warrior destined to prevent the apocalypse by defeating God’s failed first iteration of Eve, Lilith. Yeh, I didn’t really know much about this mythology either, but we’re quickly immersed into the tenets of this sacred prophesy with some fast-paced world building…and we, like our main character, end up suspending disbelief pretty quickly and getting on board this train. In addition, Belle learns she has to find her seven mates, the counters to the seven deadly sins, who will help her defeat Lilith and her minions and save the world, and all that jazz.
And, thus, away we go on our journey. In this first installment of the series, the majority of our story is centered on the hunt to track down the 7 mates (#gottcatchemall), Belle building connections with them once she finds them (metaphorically and literally- hubba hubba), and the development of their individual powers and roles as part of a harem…plus we get all necessary world and character building that is the foundation of our bigger story. With such complex mythology and paranormal elements, Mackenzie does a nice job of world building- we aren’t inundated with too much detail or complex cannon but we also have enough of a grasp of the players and the background to immerse ourselves in the stakes.
The characters here are richly drawn, charming, witty, and the chemistry if off the charts hot. Belle is an amazing leading lady- she’s good, compassionate, selfless, and principled without being dogmatic or boring. Yes, she’s the Holy Warrior and she’s the beautiful-souled virgin here to save the world, but she’s also funny, sassy and witty, she knows her own mind, and she’s THIRSTY for her sexy mates, and shamelessly so despite her inexperience. Girl cusses, likes kinky things, and isn’t scared to communicate openly and honestly with those around her. And, two words: CIRCUS EMU. All around, she has the perfect balance of softness and edge to make her both endearing and believable as a leader. And this harem, OH LORD FIND ME A COLD SHOWER! We have a menagerie of supernatural species in our 7 Saints- shifters, mages, and fae- and while, like most first RH books, some men are more fully realized as characters than others, each of our leading men are uniquely shaped as characters, with different personality traits, quirks, backgrounds and motivations, and a tailored chemistry with our leading lady. Belle and her mates each have a unique connection and attraction to each other- with each of our men concurrently being developed as an attribute to combat the 7 deadly sins AND being developed as a unique match for Belle, all of them fitting her like puzzle pieces but in totally different ways. This is where this book really shines-the relational (and sexual) chemistry of Belle and her Saints. Mackenzie takes time to let each male shine at some point, each character to start to be realized, and each to play a unique role in supporting our Holy Warrior. As a reader, we get to know our leading men at a slow and intimate enough pace for them to feel real and tangible and not shallow but attractive archetypes (which so often happens in RH stories with so many men), but we also move at a quick enough pace that we’re fully engaged and feel like the relationships are progressing. The shifting perspectives/narratives is key here, and I loved having the opportunity to see the world through each of our characters, and to understand how they see each other. I loved each of them in their own way, and every time I met a new one I thought “oh, he’s my new favorite”- but in all, I can’t say I actually have a favorite, and you can tell Belle doesn’t either- which is the true sigh of a promising RH writer- making each member of the Harem uniquely characterized, distinguishable, and of equal interest and importance to our lady. Even better, our men don’t try to outshine her or overalpha here- sure they are dominating and protective, but they let her lead, are secure in following her quest and recognize their supporting role in the prophesy, and they respect and cherish her for both her human and supernatural traits. They are just so darn attractive- and not just physically. And good lord, the SEX. Belle has a plethora of scorching sexy moments with her Saints- and even with a lot of men for her to “mate” with, each interaction feels fresh and unique and within character, but all of them are delicious. The sexy times don’t just feel like they are there to be there- sure, they serve a mating/mythological purpose, but they also serve to help us better understand and add depth to our men and also help us begin to understand the unique relationship she’ll have with each of them. Even so, the SCORCHING chemistry would be enough to make them delicious. I am HERE for this Harem, I’m invested in these characters, and I believe their connection. I’m also loving the beginnings of seeing how our harem connects with each other as fellow mates, not just as Belle’s lover.
Overall, this is a wonderful debut for a new and promising author. Yes, like all new authors (and honestly all writers in general), there are places where the prose could be tighter, but none of that detracts from the strengths that made me read this in one sitting: Mackenzie’s ability to balance the big, epic, imminent disaster scale with the quiet, meaningful, intimate moments that make this book so special and her ability to create and fully realize an amazing harem of characters whose relationships feel meaningful and real. I am fully bought in to this story and sitting on the edge of my seat anxiously awaiting the next installment. Congrats on a wonderful debut, S.A
This is the first book I’ve read by this author. She was kind enough to give me an advance copy in exchange for an honest review. So here we go.
I was honestly sucked in when I read the blurb and couldn’t wait to read it. And boy did the author bring it! I loved Belle. She is honestly very funny. Her personality is quite unique. And Luke. I absolutely loved him. He is everything Belle needed without knowing she needed him. Her seven mates where all to dies for. Each amazing in their owns ways. And their scenes together were complete fire. Definitely hot hot hot.
The storyline was captivating and unique. It was heartbreaking, heartwarming, funny, and so much more. It was easy to follow along with and confusing at all. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait for book two!
I do need to warn you about Lilith’s scenes. Her language wasn’t for me. I understand where the author was coming from and it really worked I just cringed when I read her scenes.
This was an amazing book. It gives you a twist that you haven’t read out the spiritual stories we know. You can relate not only to the main character with her quirks and her sass, but I feel a tug on my heart for each of her mates. I believe there’s something for every reader to relate to in this book. Not only the heart breaking, but the steam feel good moments that will make you fan yourself even in public. Fantastic author who sucks you into this world with her magical words!
