From the New York Times bestselling author of the Wind Dragons and Cursed Ravens MC series comes sinners, saints and secrets… Dear Skylar, Five years. That’s a long time to go without talking to somebody, especially someone who was such a huge part of your life… A letter from my first kiss and my childhood everything…from prison. He may be nicknamed Saint, but this sweet, sexy … prison.
He may be nicknamed Saint, but this sweet, sexy biker most definitely has a wild streak. Hearing from him draws me right back into the Knights of Fury motorcycle club–the people I’ll always think of as family.
He’s still the only man I’ve ever wanted.
Each good, old-fashioned letter from my “prison pen pal” has my heart racing. Which is nothing compared to how I feel when Saint surprises me in person, as a free man.
I was just a kid the last time we saw each other, but the connection between us now is anything but innocent.
He’s the type of man who would do anything to protect his woman. And with my world crashing down around me, that’s exactly what I’m going to need.

“Blood isn’t everything—loyalty is.”
I couldn’t resist getting a taste of the first book in the new Knights of Fury MC series by Chantal Fernando. I think the first is always the hardest for an author because she has to lay the groundwork and introduce the characters for the first time. And I have to say she did a great job in that area. I already feel connected to the club family and my heartstrings were pulled past comfortable in the telling of this tale.
Skylar is a very likable character, she’s sassy and sweet. But, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a broken heart. Raised like a club princess during her younger years, she has a close relationship with her biker family… until she doesn’t.
It was exciting to read Saint’s letters from prison as I anticipated their eventual reunion. I fell for him right along with Skylar as a young girl experiencing her first crush. But, he was older than her, so they could never be more than friends… then. Along with her, I wanted answers about the past. And, I wanted them to finally act on the feelings they had for each other.
Did I mention that there is also a character that I hate so much I wished for a voodoo doll to torture? Just wait, you’ll be joining me at my Kindle throwing party soon. Just make sure it’s enclosed in a kiddie case to protect it so you can get to the end of the story, you won’t want to miss that, trust me.
One of my favorite things about a Chantal Fernando book is the character relationships and witty banter. I’m already feeling attached to the club family and looking forward to spending more time with them. The line forms here…

Saint was the first book in the Knights of Fury MC series by Chantal Fernando. I’ve read her Wind Dragons and Cursed Ravens MC series and I’m a big fan.
Sky O’Connor was the youngest of six siblings and the only daughter. She was raised in the Knights of Fury MC until she was sixteen when life as she knew it changed overnight. She was beautiful, feisty and independent and had a childhood crush on Saint, a man she hadn’t seen in five years.
Saint was a patched member of the MC and five years older than Sky. He was friends with Sky and like another protective older brother. After five years, once Sky was twenty one, Saint decided to write her a letter to reconnect, thus the story began.
Saint was told with a single POV, Sky. I liked the premise of the story. I also liked Fernando’s use of the letters as well as the past flashbacks. And I liked there wasn’t a lot of push and pull between the characters once they reunited. I also liked the multiple support stories within the main plot.
With that said, I was craving something more. I needed Saint’s POV. The plot seemed incomplete with too many missing details and Saint’s perspective could have filled in gaps, adding depth and dimension. It also wasn’t the typical MC story – which could be good – but in this case, the MC seemed to flounder versus the pack of confident alpha males protecting their turf that we usually see. And the multiple plots seemed incongruent at times, not to mention the numerous editing errors.
All in all, it was a quick read and Fernando set the stage for the new series well. It wasn’t my favorite of Fernando’s books, but it was still entertaining and I can’t wait to see where the series takes us next. My guess is Remy and the “hot neighbor” but regardless, I’m looking forward to it.
Saint by Chantal Fernando is book One in the Knights of Fury Series. This is the story of Saint and Skylar.
Skylar is the Step-daughter of the President of the Knights of Fury but when she was around 16 her mother took her away. Skylar’s mother doesn’t seem to like anything and so they don’t really get along. Then with Skylar is older she starts to want to go back to the only family she has every really known, the Knights of Fury. Of course Saint is a part of that need to return, especially when the letters start.
Really enjoyed their story and can’t wait for more in this series!
4 stars
I love Ms. Fernando’s writing style and her previous series’, so I was super stoked to get my grabby hands on the start of a new series. I’m happy to say she did not disappoint!
Skylar fell in love with Saint before she knew what love was. While time and distance might have affected their love story, it was more her crazy ass mother that caused problems for them both. Years later they reconnect as pen pals while Saint is in prison and they develop a deep relationship and connection through their letters. What follows is the normal MC drama and the adorable growth of their relationship. Highly recommend this great story which begins an exciting new series by Ms. Fernando!

OMG did I love this book! Totally new characters with a totally new and actually very refreshing storyline. This is not something that I have seen from this author before and I really enjoyed the way that she introduced this new series.
Skylar is a pretty interesting character. She is young, but she is very aware of who she is, even if she still searching for her own niche in the world. But she definitely gets some hard truths thrown at her as the story goes on and shows just how much strength that she has. And boy does she have some inner strength.
There were times in this story that I really teared up. The end … OMG … it broke my heart. The only thing that I was not happy with was the way the whole thing was handled in regards to one character. I so thought that there should have been more to happen to this character and I am hoping that later on down the line this person gets their own comeuppance!
Overall, I was so impressed with this book and this new series that the author is introducing to readers. SAINT really kicks this new MC into high gear and the author is going to have to pull out all the stops to do better than this one … but I really think that she can do that! So, two thumbs way up from me and happy reading!!
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
Sky grew up in the MC life as far as her father “Hammer” would allow a child to be involved. But it was the only life she knew. “Saint” was the guy she had a crush on but she thought he didn’t feel the same. There was a five year age difference between them and she was only 16. So Saint wasn’t about to mess with her. The chemistry between Sky and Saint has the potential of being off the charts, right now it just sizzles.
When Hammer and Sky’s mother split, her mother leaves and takes Sky with her, taking Sky away from the only father she has ever known. And telling Sky that Hammer doesn’t want anything to do with her because if he did, then he would have called her.
When Sky gets a letter from Saint, she can’t believe what she is reading, why after all these years is he reaching out to her? When Sky learns the truth, she doesn’t confront her mother, she leaves the country and moves in with her brother Logan. Reuniting with Hammer and Saint, she learns so much more than she thought and the pain she feels is more than just betrayal.
Will Sky confront her mother about the reasons they left? Can she forgive Saint and Hammer for not reaching out to her sooner? What happens when secrets are revealed? Can Saint and Sky survive his secrets?
I really liked this story but sometimes Sky got on my nerves with her childish all about my pain ways. Either accept what has happened and move on with these men or just move on. I would have liked a little more at the end but maybe there will be more of Saint and Sky in the next book. I can’t wait to see what Chantal Fernando comes up with next.
**Wicked Reads Review Team**
This is the first book in this series and what a great start! Skyler has never known who her dad was but when her mom took up with Hammer the president of the Knights MC he acted like a dad should always. Saint was part of the Knights MC and she always had a crush on him even though he was five years older but one day her mom took her away from Saint and Hammer said that they didn’t care about her. Five years go by and Skylar leaves the country back to the city to live with her brother Logan and decides to go see Hammer to find out why he never checked on her but what she found out was so much more. Loved the characters and there are a lot of tears but some happy also and the story kept you interested from start to finish.

I am pretty much over the MC genre, however there are 2 authors that I will still read their MC books as they are released – and Chantal Fernando is one of them.
This is the first of the Knights of Fury MC series, and one that I am going to enjoy as much as the previous series.
Skylar and Saint’s story is full of love, heartache, and a healthy dose of batsh!t craziness! Oy, there are some people in this book who need to take a good, hard look at themselves and their actions!
I love that we see the softer side of the bikers, not just the violence and bloodshed that can come with them. I loved watching Sky and Saint fall in love, go through the trial and tribulations that come with it.
There are a few characters that I really need to read their stories, and I hope that I don’t have to wait too long to get more.
This was a great read. I enjoyed the characters, especially Saint. I loved the story and the setting. This one even explained better how a ‘good girl’ can fall in love with outlaws who transport drugs and have killed people since they were the only family she had even had that were good to her.
I adored the whole fell in love when young part and then separated.
Sad, sexy, and romantic, all rolled up into one book.
Skye and Saint haven’t spoken in five years and she thought the Knights had all forgotten about her so when she receives a letter from Saint, she is more than a little shocked and what happens next changes her life. I loved this story so much. Saint and Skye’s story was heartbreaking and I have to admit it brought so much emotion to me, even to tears. I highly recommend this author to any person who loves romance, Chantal is an amazing storyteller and I was hooked by the end of the first chapter. This series is bound to take me on a ride I never want to get off if all the other books are like this one.
This was book 1 in the “Knights of Fury” series. This was a really good read and audio as I listened and read this at the same time. This book cover is also hot. Skylar O’Connor was raised in the MC her mother was the president’s old lady. Skylar has had a crush on Saint since he was a prospect for the club. Hammer the president has always been her father he raised her. When she is sixteen years old her parents break up and she is dragged away from the club. Skylar has a love hate relationship with her mother and I hated her she was a mean evil woman. Five years later she gets a letter from Saint who is in prison all her feelings and questions come up. When she leaves and goes back to the club to get some answers she is not a little girl anymore and when she sees Saint all her feelings comeback. This was a good book her mother was a piece of work she hated and was jealous of her own daughter. Skylar also reconnected with her brothers. When she finds out what her mother did she is hurt and heartbroken that no one told her. This book also had some sadness in it. This book also had some hot sexy times. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling I also liked the narration in it. I am looking forward to reading and listening to the next book in this series
This really was rather comical and in a lot of places unnecessary. There isn’t the usual vibe you get like other MC’s. There are no Alpha’s and there isn’t any real edge to the story.
As a matter of fact there are just too many unbelievable holes in the story. Too many situations that supposedly wealthy tough guys find themselves in on the losing side.
I let reading it hoping it would improve but it did not. This club is incredibly weak, they are ALWAYS on the losing team, always on the defense. Sigh… I suggest passing on this one.
Thank you to the author/publisher and Netgalley for an ARC of this book.
I was super excited by the prospect of this book. MC romance, childhood friends-to-lovers, prison…YES. I enjoyed reading this book a lot. Enough to rate it 4 stars and want to continue with the next book, but there were a few things that I wasn’t loving either.
We’re pulled into this story with Skylar and her family living with her stepdad who is the leader of the Knights of Fury MC. Despite what initial thoughts of this may be, this MC stepdad of hers has so much love and protection for Sky. Part of the MC, as a prospect, is her friend Saint who she has had a crush on for a long time. Due to the slight age difference and life situations, he never showed it back.
Jump to a fight that her parents have and now Sky and her brothers are being pulled away from the MC. This starts the story as we know it. We’re brought years into the future, with Sky just working to make it day-by-day. She’s never looked back at the MC, although she’s wanted to ; there’s been no contact from them, not even Saint. She does a visit with her mother, and now we’re shown who her mother really is, through adult eyes and not through the innocent child eyes as earlier. And wow, is her mother something!
Sky receives a letter from Saint, saying he is in prison and wanted to reach out to her. So this right here, this part of the synopsis, was what drew me into the book. I read other prison romances that turned out fantastic and since this involves childhood friends, I thought/hoped/assumed this would be a bigger part of the novel. When in fact, it doesn’t last long. Once Saint reaches out to her, she goes to her mother asking about her MC family. When that doesn’t give her the results she wants, she quits her current life, moves in with one of her brothers and goes back to the MC to see her dad.
This jump starts a line of emotional reunions, including her one with Saint’s, which did not happen at a prison at all. The day she goes to the MC to see her dad is a couple days after he was released, so they have their reunion there at the compound. So far, everything that made me want to read this book is now gone. Luckily, with everything else happening, my curiosity definitely got the best of me.
For the rest of the book we’re caught up on what went down that day with her dad and mom, what Saint’s been up to, and how much drama her mother likes. And it’s all good- this was a great book. But Skylar drove me nuts! Everytime she finds out something new, she cries. I get this was a lot for her. But even when they’re calmly explaining why they did what they did and never reached out, I’m thinking it sucks but I see their perspective. Meanwhile, she’s crying and yelling about how they abandoned her and why they didn’t even reach out to her. Over and over. Every time something happened in this book, she was whining about it.
I had no issues whatsoever with Saint. I mean, his situation from his past sucks, but hey, it added to the drama. Saint was a great and loving character. Her dad was a giant teddy bear that even I wanted to hug.
The plot was also great. Her mother is such a piece of work and this is revealed slowly throughout, all linking back to that break-up fight they had and why they had it. This book makes you love to hate her mother. She is the villain of the story, right to the very end.
Overall, good book, just not the best MC one I have read. I will continue with this series though
I really love MC books! One of my favorite genres. I was approved for an arc for the third book in this series, not realizing it was the third book. So I decided to start the while series. Which I’m really glad I did! I really enjoyed this book! I was hooked from the very beginning! I read it in one sitting. I would say it was on the milder side for an MC. Which I didn’t mind. There was no long drawn out unnecessary drama either. I would definitely recommend this book! Can’t wait to read the next one!
I had a hard time with this book due to the fact the heroine held a grudge for 5 years, causing issues for the child. Even though he was trying to be a good dad and a good man after he went to jail, she would not budge. This caused me to not really care for this book.
***4 Stars***
This was a really interesting and fun read. Things did get cray cray, it is an MC romance after all, but it all ended up making perfect sense and has me looking to get my hands on the next book in the series sooner rather than later.
I really liked both Saint and Skylar. Saint is a really good man. He’s loyal, honorable and really sweet. Sky is finding herself. Her life hasn’t been horrible, but it hasn’t been great either. She is sweet, sassy and I loved watching as she figured out just how strong she really was.
Their journey to the HEA was a lot of fun. The connection between them was apparent from the start and I loved seeing their bond grow and become stronger. Their bantering was a lot of fun and the swoon worthy and smexy moments were awesome. The drama, between them at least, was on the low end of the spectrum, where it wasn’t OTT, but just enough to keep things interesting and I loved how everything worked out for them.
I’ve had my ups and downs with a couple of this authors books in the past, so I had my toes crossed that this one would be land on the up side in the end, and it did. The writing was engaging, the pacing good and though I do wish we’d had Saint’s POV a little bit, I didn’t mind being in Sky’s head the entire time. And as for the secondary characters, I loved getting to know them all ~ Temper is the one I’m most fascinated with ~ but they were all well written and I loved getting to know almost all of them (One I definitely wanted to gut with a spoon.) and I’m looking forward to diving back into this world!

Chantal Fernando, I hope you take this for the sincere compliment that it is: when I received an advanced copy of Saint, I put down, I repeat, I put down the new Christine Feehan book that I’d been reading and immediately started reading Saint! That was how much I’d been looking forward to reading this book and it was definitely worth it.
Ever since the announcement that Chantal Fernando was bringing out a new MC romance series, I’ve been excited and reading the blurb for this book only escalated that excitement.
Saint definitely met every one of my expectations.
Sweet but sexy with lots of steamy romantic scenes.
This book is packed full of drama, angst, suspense and twists that will leave you reeling.
Saint filled my heart with joy and sorrow and many, many tears were shed.
With that said, I’m eagerly awaiting the next book in the series and as with any book of Chantal’s that I’ve read, this book was an addictive, immersive read with easy to connect to characters and a world that I never wanted to leave.
Great Book.
Highly Recommended
This book for me was a little slower. Yea she had a crazy mom and had to leave the MC but nothing really happened until 200 pages in, and the book is only 249 pages long. It was still a good read and I will read the next one.
This was just an ok read for me. It was quick and easy and the story had lots of promise but it just fell a bit flat. The main issue for me was the chemistry between Skylar and Saint as I just couldn’t connect to them. That said, I will definitely continue with the series and look forward to the next book from the Knights of Fury.
I was provided with a copy of this book from the Publisher via Netgalley; there was no inducement or obligation and I opted to leave a review.
I don’t know it is just me, but I really did not enjoy reading this book. After reading the Wind Dragons this new first book that opens a new series seems to me like a joke. It is maybe for a more younger audience because I like something more solid to read. But in this book I found it lacking after in so many ways like Skylar and her life and creating a drama where there wasn’t. Suddenly Saint writes her from prison and she starts suddenly to have a purpose in her life and going back in the city and reuniting with the Club. The Club that isn’t at all real MC Club. After coming into the city there are just rainbow and roses for Skylar and the author wanted to create a dramatical twist but it was just predictable and more drama. The relationship between Saint and Skylar is also poor and had me more times eye-rolling. If she has a plan to write another book in the series I hope it will be better as this one.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley
