Dana’s ready to submit to Zach, but she’ll be surprised by the depth of her submission. She’s comfortable dominating Jacob, but how will the four of them form a unit? Zach thought he’d worked through his issues, and he was patient with Dana while she worked through hers, but a painful reminder of the past makes him question whether he can accept Dana’s submission. Will he be able to handle being … handle being completely vulnerable once again?

Safeword: Davenport is the first half of Dana’s story. It’s the personal part of her journey, and has a Happy for Now ending. The book you’re viewing now, Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon, gives the rest of her story. It’s recommended these two books be read in order.

I don’t know in enjoyed is the right word for how I felt about this book by Ms. Blevins. I love that Ms. Blevins allowed us to see how Zach and Dana navigated not only their budding relationship but also the addition of Brent and Jacob to their lives. These story is intense. Not only is the relationship based on a strong d’s relationship it touches on pain in a way that on the outside seems extreme but fits not only what Dana needs but also in unmet desire in Zach. I love that Ms. Blevins delved so deeply into their world for us. I love that she also focused on the relationship outside their sexual relations. Both Dana and Zach were dealing with emotional bombs that blew up in unexpected ways. I love that they had friends like Brent and Jacob that were willing to help them save what they were building. I love that Ms. Blevins showed that making a relationship work requires work and it could and should be uncomfortable. The journey Zach and Dana were making was intensely personal and loving. I found myself squirming for numerous reason not all of them sexual. Ms. Blevins gave me a book that looked into a world for me that wasn’t always comfortable but it felt real and loving. I can see myself needing to return to Zach and Dana’s world and the emotions they garnered in my again in the future. And for that I thank Ms. Blevins.
Zach and Dana story continue in this heart stoping moment. This book is filled with raw emotion. We see Dana opening up in her submission side. Both both characters have past obstacles to faces added in Jacob this book was super amazing hot spicy with an great story plot.
this book … I thought I was used to by now by the writing ways of Mrs. Blevins, but this book took me for a emotional and sizzling hot ride that I still have not recovered.
it goes to show you are never in for a smooth sailing – because real life is everything but smooth sailing, and this book proves it.
The story of Dana and Zach (now added into the combo are Brent and Jacob) continues to spiral and evolve and I am in a love/hate relationship with it (like more then 50% of the book I want to shake them both silly – even spank them) but *spoiler* HEA is a soothing balm to it all.
In one of the posts on FB Candace said that there was no genre in the book community for these type of books, so imagine little virgin me reading these Safeword series from the beginning 😀 – I can still feel the blush (and I am blushing again on that behalf hihihi). but even after years of reading into BDSM, it remains, Mrs Candace can still shock me, surprise me, make me google stuff, and on top of it all, make me blush just reading her scenes. OMG !!!!! she is …. just … I can’t … you have to read it, then get back to me on this part.
I advise you to read this book, but be ready for a roller coaster ride cause, Candace is in a mood and she is bringing her best game forward !!!!
Dana and Zach start building their life together in this book. It all seems to be going well, really, too well. Little things crop up, and then a really big thing, that put some wrinkles into the mix. While trying to work out things together, they forgot a very important rule, you need to communicate to each other. All the time, about lots of things. See, they did talk about things, but they omitted some pretty basic items that make up their psyche. Lucky for them, they are not alone, as Brent and Jacob are in their corner
Realistic relationships, with real problems, and blending BDSM into your everyday life. This book brings a low angst, but emotional, look into starting over with someone new. Both Dana and Zach had found their happy ever after and lost it unexpectedly. Their new relationship is different from the one they had before, but they bring everything they had from it. They have grown and are different people, but they still carry those experiences. Brent and Jacob are also part of this new relationship, so everything is magnified times 4. Yet, they are all willing to make this work, and having those extra perceptions, only help in the long run. This was an amazing read!
Dana summarizes it pretty clearly “Garnet was her past, but Zach and Jacob were her future — both fulfilling a need, and both as important to her as breathing”
Dana and Zach’s love story concludes with this book. They grow into a more structured relationship as she continues exploring her Domme side with Jacob. A near tragedy brings back haunts from Zach’s past that al most derails everything. Brent is very instrumental in helping Dana and Zach get back on course. The foursome grow closer and closer and finally celebrate their love together.
