YOU THINK YOU KNOW THE WORLD OF MAGICAL BOARDING SCHOOLS? NOT FROM A TEACHER’S PERSPECTIVE AT A SCHOOL FOR AT-RISK YOUTH.Adult Content Warning: Get cozy with this hexy mystery. Clarissa Lawrence wakes up at Prince Elric’s Fae estate after being in a coma for months. She is drained of magic and has gaps in her memories, yet no one will disclose what happened. It’s hard enough being a witch without … hard enough being a witch without magic, but Felix Thatch is behaving more mysteriously than usual. Her husband has made some kind of bargain with the Fae prince, and neither will tell her the truth about what the price her recovery has cost them. And worse yet, what it will cost her.
A mysterious force is keeping both men weak and drained. Clarissa must discover the cause of both men’s magical malady’s—and her own—before the Raven Queen strikes when they are all at their weakest.
This time Queen Morgaine Le Fay isn’t just coming for her. She will snatch Clarissa’s former students, a group of underaged Red affinities, and Vega and Elric’s baby—unless Clarissa is witch enough to stop her.

Note: Do not let the cover make you think this is for children. This series is definitely for adults only. Think very adult Harry Potter type book.
I spent the whole time reading this book trying to figure out what they were hiding. Di you figure it out?
Great characters, fantastic story line. Gets better and better. Sad that the this may be close to the end of the series. BOO HOO HOO HOO .
I highly recommend reading the series in order. I can honestly say that as this series goes on, you really need to have read the previous books. Even though you might be able to read this one, I feel that it would be easy to lose the significance of what is happening. I have read the previous books and initially I was a little lost in the beginning.
Now that I have them all, I plan to read them from the beginning. Especially since I started the series around book 4?
This my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.
I’ve read every book so far and love all the characters, I can’t wait to see how it ends.
Clarrisa has been in a coma she is not sure how long and she can’t get an answer to her many questions, not even Thatch will explain anything so what is a witch to do. She will do her best to recall or trick or spy her way to answers, that is as soon as she can get around again. While in a coma all her magic has been drained from her body and only touch magic seems to help restore it for a time, the problem is Elric seems to be the only one who has enough magic to really help her which can cause big problems for all, She will recall many things but whose baby did she hold and what happened to her fairy godmother is still a blank, what has the Raven Queen and Thatch have to do with everything. You will need to get back on that broomstick to see, This book does contain a great deal of sex but not the steamy kind.
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review
Interesting and entertaining series.
The Raven Queen is still reeking havoc and causing all manner of problems with Clarissa, Thatch, and Elric. Clarissa is still in the dark on the full story but she keeps picking up bits and pieces about what happened. I like all the story lines for this series but I am getting a wee bit tired of all the sex scenes and that sex seems to cure all the worlds problems, regardless of your partner or partners or whose partner you happen to be with. But all in all a good story and will be sad to see the series end.
I received an ARC. This is my honest review.
If you don’t read the previous books in the series, you just won’t have a full appreciation of the references and humor of this, Book 16. The series is actually one long story that continues over much of Clarissa’s life. Start with Tardy Bells and Witches’ Spells: A Cozy Witch Mystery (Womby’s School for Wayward Witches Book 1) for greatest enjoyment, and read sequentially in order. This is a continuation from Hex Appeal (Womby’s School for Wayward Witches Book 15), so if you’ve already read this far, just go ahead and start Book 16.
A quick recap: The Raven Queen did something terrible to Clarissa and Thatch during their disastrous misadventure in the Raven Queen’s castle in Book 15. Clarissa has lost her affinity, has amnesia, is paralyzed and is in a coma. Each time she is awakened, some physical pain or painful memory causes her to fall back into a coma. At each awakening, Thatch, Elric, Vega and other friends are by her bedside, trying to keep her awake. After 14 months, the only “cure” seems to be to have daily touch-magic sex with Elric. As usual, misunderstandings and secrets cause problems for everyone, especially having to keep painful memories from Clarissa. Eventually things get quite kinky as Thatch and Elric cooperate to cure Clarissa (think RH). The Raven Queen and her army attack Elric’s estate, killing many and abducting Imani. The ending is a cliffhanger, with a decision by all to exact vengeance against the Raven Queen: she must die.
This is really getting good! All the secrets are coming to light and Clarissa has an epiphany regarding the Raven Queen. I can’t wait to read the next book to find out what happens next!
Clarissa has been drained of magic and wakes from a long coma. She doesn’t remember when, who, how or why … but throughout most of this book, Prince Elric trying to restore her through his fae sexual powers. Her husband, Felix Thatch, has also been drained, and it breaks Clarissa’s heart to see him so pale and weak. Elusive feelings of loss haunt her. There’s a big mystery here, with danger for everyone in Elric’s castle. This book has a cliffhanger, and I can’t wait to see if Clarissa and Thatch can restore their love and magic.
I admit I couldn’t get into this book as much as some of the others in the series. It was a little confusing as Clarissa spends a good bit of time just trying to get some answers as to what has happened and what is going on, and the story seemed to run a little slow. But if you’ve been reading the whole series (which you should do before you read this one), you’ll want to keep going as this is nearing the end. As usual, this book will end with you wanting to read the next.
