Mordecai is a psychopath. Miriam is a Christian. Both want the same thing–to help each other. But where Miriam’s intentions are pure, Mordecai’s are full of sadistic games.
Books 1 and 2 of his new series. I love Lucian Bane books. 2 students working on their graduate thesis, both virgins. Her thesis is to prove that even psychopaths can be rehabilitated by God. His is debunking the Chaos Theory proving that it is the same as the human condition. A great start to the series. The devil is in the details. I look forward to seeing how this story progresses.

Intriguing at the beginning
I really liked this rather particular beginning, while manipulation by a young man who asserts psychopath and wants to be the subject of study of the young woman that he will try to manipulate. the subject of her thesis is the possibility of treating psychopaths, and his own, about the influence of man on a situation or situation on man. But her goal seems to go beyond this intellectual battle, especially since she is very religious, and God would be her explanation for any argument.
He manages to make her live at home for this study and begins his exchanges that seem to be scientific, but maybe not that much.
I just found it unfortunate that the story is broken up into 6 books. This first opus seems too short.

Strange, twisted series.
This is a strange series. It’s intriguing and suspenseful, I’m just not sure where it’s going. I am however very interested in finding out. From what I’ve read so far I am quite intrigued to see where this strange relationship between Mordecai and Miriam is heading. Definitely looking forward to reading more in Sadistic Games: Book 3 & 4.

Such an intriguing start! I’m always curious what ride this author will take me on, and I am always fascinated. Mordecai and Miriam, are two opposing sides, trying to prove their theories. The fun part will be to see who wins and I can’t wait to keep reading and find out.

Lucian Bane introduces us to Modercai, smart, focused and a bit unusual. Under the guise of completing his psychological thesis he welcomes a young woman to live in his home to study the human condition.
As Miriam is tasked with having to complete her thesis as well, the arrangement seems too good to be true. When they sit down and lay their plans out on the line it becomes apparent that diving into the psyche of a psychopath may be more than what Miriam bargained for.
This a serial series that will be continue in episodes.

Dark and sadistic is exactly what you get when Mordecai and Miriam meet! I told myself I’d wait for the entire series to finish before I started reading this, but I couldn’t help myself. I took a peek and I was a goner! Mordecai is all about logic and calculated chances. I could Venn diagram him all day long. Sweet Miriam is strong in her faith but believes she can fix Mordecai. This cat and mouse game is so thrilling, and the series is freaking amazing! Nobody does sarcastic wit and sadistic intent like Mr. Bane! I cannot wait for the next installment!

This first installment you meet two individuals who are completely different in many ways. Miriam is a slightly naive, hot mess with strong Christian morals. Where as Mordecai is more structured coming from a more somewhat sheltered background. After some manipulating, Mordecai, got Miriam right where he wanted her, in his house. Little did he know it became a battle of wills and discovered she just might be what he’s been missing. Once I dove into this I could not put it down!
