A mission, a life he’d committed to, but was it possible he could have more? Sadist had lived the last ten years with one goal in mind. To make this world safer for people like his family. He lived to protect his fellow Demented Souls, his club brothers. That didn’t leave room for the softer parts of life like a wife or family. He didn’t know if he could share the secret that kept his brothers … brothers alive. But who would be willing to let him keep those secrets from them?
Beth was just trying to get through a rough spot. Between work and helping her parents, she was getting by but that was all. Then a tall, tattooed man walked in to her salon for a haircut. The last thing she expected was for the man who made her stomach flip to be interested in her. Until he came back and asked her out.
Can Beth and Sadist figure out how to make things work or will the secrets and misunderstandings be too much?

Book five of the Demented Souls series a well written story. I enjoyed reading Sadist/Billy and Beth’s story. Her parents meddling was really something. I hope there are more books to come in this series.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

4.5 Stars
This was exactly what I was expecting from Melissa Stevens! A great storyline and characters that are easy to become invested in! I’m wanting to go back and read any missed books in this series. I only wish it was longer and fleshed out a bit more. Some unanswered questions, but maybe we’ll get more in the next book?

Sadist is another great book in the MC series. By day, Sadist is an artist. He owns his own tattoo shop. Vice President is the title he carries in the MC. He takes his responsibilities seriously, and has a family thanks to his brothers in this MC.
In need of a haircut, Sadist meets Beth when she cuts his hair. Not wanting to waste anytime, he asks her out and she accepts.
I recommend this book! Stevens always creates strong characters that stay with you after the book is done.

This is book five in The Demented Souls Series and it is Sadist and Beth’s story and it is a must read. This book takes you in right from the start and keeps you turning the pages wondering what the outcome will be for Sadist and Beth and I couldn’t put this book down as it was so good and kept your attention throughout. I have read many of Melissa Stevens books as she is a brilliant author and writer and I look forward to reading more in the future. I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will definitely not be disappointed.

Sadist is the Vice President of the Demented Souls, and a man who knows he is judged unfairly by his tattoos and by his MC. He swears he will never settle down with a normal woman, but then has a chance encounter with the only one to change his mind.
Beth is a bit on the shy side with guys. She’s not adventurous, or a risk taker, but there is just something about the handsome tattoo artist that draws her in. She’s just got to figure out if he’s worth fighting for, if what they are building is worth grasping onto and making it real.
Honestly, I read this one because I read a different book in the same series earlier this month. I really enjoyed that while I read them both out of order in their series, that it did not mean that I was lost or confused. This book, while hinting at other character interactions and intertwined storylines, focuses mainly on Sadist and Beth, rather than others. It’s their story first and foremost. I like that idea.
Secondly, the writer’s style is easy to read and digest without too much overthought. It reads like a Sunday afternoon relaxation, complete with a cool glass of tea beside the pool. And the story rocked it. Yes, there is plenty of tension and action, but there are also times where the characters can relax and watch a movie and it seem natural.
My take: read this one. It’s a breath of fresh air in a dark and heady genre.

Sadist never thought that he would get in to a serious relationship. He had his MC family and that was enough. Everything changed when he met Beth the woman that cut his hair. Sparks ignited right from the start with them. She is different from other women one that you can take home to the parents. He remembered what Tuck told him about being in a relationship. Has Sadist found the woman that can accept him and his MC, one that will be his forever?

Another great listen I’m this series. You have the hot tattooed biker and the innocent hairdresser with chemistry that is so heated you know they will combust when together. I loved this book and hope their will be more in the future. As always with this narrator, narration was perfect.
Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.

I was anxious to read Sadist’s story. I wondered what type of woman he would end up with. Beth is not what I expected. The way they met was perfect. Just normal everyday stuff and BAM there could your forever. I enjoyed their story all except for when he thought she was breaking up with him. That whole thing wasn’t a fav for me. I have enjoyed meeting these guys and this different type of MC
I listened to this on audio. D.C Cole was the narrator. He does such a good job with this group. Very enjoyable to listen to.
Sadist
Demented Souls, Book 5
By: Melissa Stevens
Narrated by: D.C. Cole
This is a great addition to the series. I love these characters and the way the Demented Souls world is building. Sadist is the VP of the Demented Souls, not much time for a serious relationship and feels with the amount of secrets he carries, it would be too much to ask of a woman. But when Beth cuts his hair, there is instant chemistry that he cannot deny. Beth is a hard working hairdresser, just trying to get by, and when this tattooed man asks her out, she is astonished. But she feels it too. Sadist is a wonderful character. I love a man that seems all rough on the outside, but has so much goodness in his heart it shines through. He does carry a lot of responsibility and his work cannot be divulged. Beth is ordinary to me, which I love. It makes her more real, and the interaction with her parents is priceless! Now can they find that magic to make their relationship work? We have some suspense filled moments, great times seeing characters we already know and get to see if they can make it work.
DC Cole continues his narration of this series bringing Sadist and Beth to life. I love this man’s voice, he could read the phone book and I would listen. There is something in his style that hits all the personality traits in the characters and I find the he connects with them. Plus his raspiness is perfect for these bikers. Another amazing performance.

The chemistry between the main characters is out of this freaking world!
I felt that the author had the ability to convey some depth to the personalities of the characters bringing life and likability to every person.
The writing draws you in and keeps you interested until the end.
I received a copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
Beth is a nice girl with a close knit family. Sadist is the VP of the Demented Souls MC. Somehow in spite of their differences they come together. But the differences in their lifestyles and secrets that he must keep will strain their relationship.
As usual, a well told story with great characters, tremendous chemistry and just enough angst to keep the story moving. I always enjoy this authors books. In particular in this book we had 2 adults that work together to resolve issues that are real, not imagined. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).
Loved Sadist and Beth! Lots of chemistry and a nice sexy quick storyline! I mean, who doesn’t love a tall tattooed yummy biker!

Sadist is the vice president of a motorcycle club, but what does this club do behind the scenes that is such a deep secret? Beth is a hair stylist and meets Sadist when he comes in for a haircut. Sparks fly between them, but will she hook up with someone covered in tats? What wil her parents think? Great story and I absolutely loved it.
