Her plan? Send a cast of city slickers to the ranch to learn how to saddle up like a real cowboy.
I’ve got one condition. She has to come learn the ropes before I’ll agree to let strangers come work my ranch.
She thinks it’ll be a piece of cake. I’m sure she’s not going to last. But it’s going to be fun watching her try.
There’s just one problem. I want her to save a horse and ride…me.
Saddle Up is a steamy, heartfelt, stand-alone romantic comedy in the Ryker Ranch series. This series includes Saddle Up, Bucked Off, Ridden Hard, and Roped Tight. Each book can stand alone and follows all four of the Ryker brothers.

Clint and Ever are an unlikely pairing. The grump and quiet ranch owner and the city slicking reality TV show producer. An unexpected weather event throws them together and her desperation to climb the production ladder has her agreeing to play “ranch hand” for a few weeks to get him to sign on the dotted line.
This is a fun opposites attract love story, where the feelings bowl both Clint and Ever over from the start. I loved the funny moments peppered throughout the heartfelt emotions that have Clint questioning what he wants from life and Ever whether the city is really for her.
This book has good pacing and we meet the rest of Clint’s family who I’m sure have books too. Looking forward to getting stuck into more of Kim’s books.
Aaron effortlessly gives us the grumpy Clint who is set to push Ever to her city born limits. Stella shows us just how sassy and independent Ever is. Great narration by this pair/ An audiobook that was just easy on the ears.
I do love a swoon-worthy cowboy and Clint Ryker ticks all the right box’s
I thoroughly enjoyed this insta love story however I was left a little confused. This is book 1 in a new series but there’s definitely a lot more that went on before this book begins.
This is in the blurb below but it isn’t mentioned in the book, so what exactly went down? Saddle Up starts where Clint is picking up the pieces after his ex-fiance had pretty much left the family broke after doing away with all their money.
*********************
Blurb: His dad has all but promised him the ranch when he retires.
His mama loves the woman he plans to marry.
And his almost-fiancee? She’s the perfect finishing touch to the life he’s got planned out for himself.
Except all hell breaks loose when she takes off with one of the ranch hands and most of the Ryker Ranch money in her pocket.
Heartbroken and trust demolished, Clint doesn’t know if he’ll ever find love again. Until Ever Wilson walks onto his property

I would have liked more depth and more insight as to what went on there before Ever turned up on the Ryker ranch to save the day with her tv series proposal. Is it in a previous book from another series?
Regardless of the above, I really enjoyed Clint and Ever’s story. I listened to this book in audio and enjoyed the smooth male voice of the narrator who really did Clint justice, so much so I then downloaded the other books in the series which are available in a box set 1-3
Recommended quick swoon-worthy cowboy romance.
This was amazing. I literally could not put it down. I finished it in just a few hours.
Whenever you start a new series you don’t know what to expect. Kim Loraine knows exactly how to rein in her readers. Saddle Up is an amazing read that will have you hooked to every word. Strong main characters as well as secondary ones. Clint and Ever could not be any more different. Cowboy and city girl. How could it possibly work? He is trying to save his ranch and trying to get over the fact his ex ran off with all their money. The company Ever works for has offered to film a reality show on Clint’s ranch. He doesn’t want to do it, but the money would help save the ranch and bring it back into the black. Sparks fly between Clint and Ever from the first time they meet.
Saddle Up is such a romantic story. Once you start you cannot put it down. Clint’s brothers and sister only add to the awesomeness of this story. A great beginning to a new series and one where I cannot wait for the other brother’s stories as well as Sera’s.
I’m always ready for a steamy cowboy romance and Saddle Up did not disappoint. The first book in the Ryker Ranch world set up the series beautifully and I can’t wait to start the rest.
The Ryker Ranch is struggling. After an employee fled with all of their money, they are in the red. However, Mama Ryker has been working behind the scenes. A Hollywood producer has been looking for a ranch to film a new reality show. The oldest, Clint, is not happy about it. But when he meets the producer, Ever, he takes an instant liking to her. Convincing her to spend some time on the ranch to get a feel for the work, the two get closer.
Clint is cowboy perfection. He’s handsome, a little rough, tough and has a heart of gold. I liked him from the very first chapter and loved how his character grew. Ever is tough herself and was up for the challenge of wrangling the ranch and the cowboy. Their relationship was steamy and oh so sweet. I can’t wait to read about the other brothers
I’m all for a cowboy romance but the timeline and foundation was rushed. It was more Hallmark Christmas movie than book. With eye candy and funny in the beginning then smooth sailing after. The barrier wasn’t really a barrier, just a slight panic reaction. It was all too easy and surface.
A truly entertaining story about a city girl learning life on a ranch and the cowboy who never expects her to last a day. Strong characters with a good storyline. Happily ever after ending. Sexual situations and heavy use of the F word.
Absolutely great start to the Ryker Ranch Series. Kim Loraine has written a great romance about a reluctant, heartbroken cowboy hoping to save his ranch, and the sassy Hollywood-type that comes in and not only helps him save his ranch, but also steals his heart.
Clint is a swoony, sometimes grump, somewhat dubious cowboy that’s already been done wrong by one woman, and here comes Ever, appearing to be Hollywood-type on paper, looking to make his family reality stars. Of course Clint is going to be skeptical. But he’s also going to be smitten. And Ever not only has sass in spades, but she also has so much heart and genuine caring that she’s just perfect for Clint.
The audio of this book is simply amazing. Stella Hunter and Aaron Shedlock knocked the narration out of the park. I could listen to this several times and still be surprised by the nuance that they each bring to their performance. And when Aaron says darlin’ my heart just pitter patters!
Saddle Up
By Kim Loraine
Narration by Aaron Shedlock and Stella Hunter.
Ryker Ranch Series.
Clint Ryker and Ever Wilson’s book.
Opposites Attract Ranch Life Story.
Clint is the quintessential cowboy and the eldest son on the Ryker Ranch.
Ever’s the quintessential city girl and the one who comes to sell a reality show on his ranch.
What ensues is Clint trying to breakdown Ever before anything happens with any production on the Ryker Ranch and there is a whole lot of shenanigans that occurs. As each of them tries to wrangle each other over.
The narration was on point with both Aaron Shedlock and Stella Hunter. Can I just say”Darling you need this audiobook in your life, so Saddle Up already!”
Opposites do attract!
Makes me forget about city life.
I love a good love story.
This one was super sweet with a hint of spice.
One thing I really enjoy with kim loraine books is her ability to make a full story with depth and plot lines not just sex every half chapter (although there is certainly a lot of spice n sex scenes!).
The depth of the characters was good and there is a strong connection between the characters.
The writing allows you to picture the scenes as if you’re seeing it and not reading it which is what I really enjoy…
I never thought I’d like a cowboy romance- but I’m in love with this series!
This was a really cute and fast read. Who doesn’t love a alpha cowboy with a giant heart? Look no farther because Clint Ryker is all of that and more. This is definitely an instalove story with minimal drama. I love all the characters and absolutely cannot wait to read more.
Reality TV show meets real ranch life……….who bests who?
Saddle Up is the first book in the Ryker Ranch series. It is the story of Clint and Ever. This is one ride that takes more than eight seconds and is fun all the way. Clint is a country boy who’s only way of life is the ranch. Ever is a city girl who works as a reality TV show producer. Even though these two have nothing in common their chemistry still explodes off the pages and the entertainment starts. This story is fun and entertaining along with sexy and sinful.
Fabulous story! Nothing better than a good cowboy story to start your day couldn’t put it down once started.
The ranch is in trouble because a scheming minx, called Jess, who worked for the brothers, stole all their money and left then in trouble. Along comes a production company who want to do a reality series using their ranch. When Ever turns up Clint catches her eye but she needs to get the deal done. Business before pleasure. When Clint is reluctant to sign on the dotted line, Ever has to agree to spending three weeks at the ranch a condition Clint had for him to sign the contract.
The city girl on a ranch is a great concept and was told well. As usual it all end with love.
Love these cowboy stories…
This was fun – liked the characters and their grit. I’ll read the series.
This series was very good
Great book.
I loved this book so much I plowed through the entire series.
