Sacrificed by Anna Applegate
Stars five
This is the third and final book in Ariya Adams trilogy. Ariya’s Brave and strong in her quest to stop Audrey. She tries to protect those that she loves the best that she can. At times, this leads her to make not the best choices, but she does everything out of love. James is very protective and so smart. He does everything that he can to protect Ariya and to stop Audrey. This was a great couple to read about and to see how the relationship unfolded. This story was definitely action-filled, and it was quite easy to get into the storyline. I loved the ending. I thought that it was perfect for this trilogy. I thoroughly enjoyed all three books with each building on the next. If you like your love stories with action, vampires, werewolves, and great set of characters, this series is for you! I do recommend reading this series from the beginning.
Sacrificed is the third novel in the Ariya Adams series by Anna Applegate. This is my third novel by this author.
Words can’t explain how much I enjoyed this book let alone this series. I’m sad that this is the end.
This continues the quest to stop Audrey from destroying everything that Ariya loves. With it, me get more mystery, action and more insight on Ariya and James. Ariya is having a hard time figuring out who to trust and who is really there for her.
It’s a race against time and time is running out.
I really enjoyed this series with its many twist and turns and how you understand things in the next book that didn’t click before.
I highly recommend this quick series to anyone who likes fantasy, romance and mystery.
Sacrificed (Book 3 in the Ariya Adams Trilogy)
By Anna Applegate
Well here we are at the end of the Ariya Adams Trilogy. I really feel that this story is not finished so hoping this series can have one or two more books. (Hint to Anna). Throughout this whole series I don’t think there was a time when I felt the urge to put the book down and stop reading. It’s the kind of series that will get you hooked right from the get-go. Like with books one and two we have everything from drama, danger, suspense and not forgetting the witches werewolves and vampires. If there is one series to add to your reading list this is the one to add. Like with book two book three picks right up where book two ended and you don’t feel that you have missed anything at all. The characters are now finding themselves continuing their journey to hopefully put a stop to Audrey destroying the things that matter to Ariya. The wonderful thing about this series is we have Ariya going from strength to strength and we also got to know the strengths of the secondary characters. To me in most books the secondary characters don’t come across as having any strength to them. So, I would highly recommend that you pick up this series and have an enjoyable read. Thank you, Anna, for the trilogy.

The story Sacrificed (Book 3 in the Ariya Adams Trilogy) by Anna Applegate is the final book in a trilogy. It is a paranormal/fantasy story. I have loved this series since reading the first book. Both the storyline and characters are amazing. This story begins with Ariya, James, Nick, Caroline, and Riley all searching for a weapon that will defeat Audrey and the evil plans that she has. What is this weapon? As the story progresses so does the danger. Ariya has always been one that cares for her friends and would do anything to protect them. She now finds herself in a situation in which she must hide the fact that to ensure their survival she has a mission she must complete alone. Will she be able to keep her mission a secret from the others, especially from James? Will Audrey finally be defeated? Will everyone survive? This story had me on the edge of my seat from the very beginning and wondering what was going to happen next. The issue of who to trust is one that is at the forefront. Secrets and revelations are still being uncovered. Ariya is a character that has changed from the one you read about in the first book. She has grown and matured. This is a page-turner that I didn’t want to put down until I had finished. I just had to know how it all turns out. I look forward to reading what the author writes next.
Sacrificed (Ariya Adams Trilogy #3)
By Anna Applegate
5 stars
Sacrificed is the third and final story in the Ariya Adams trilogy and it was everything that I expected it to be. I have loved this series so far, the authors writing has captured my interest and help it throughout the three books. I set aside time to read this book where I knew I wasn’t going to be interrupted because I desperately wanted to see how the author was going to conclude this great series and she absolutely did it justice!
I think what stood out for me the most in this book was how much Ariya had grown and how her much her character had developed. I really loved reading about her. She had such love for her friends that it was great to read about, I loved how she literally would have done anything for them. The secondary characters again were great and I am still in love with James! He was definitely one of my favourite characters!
I really thought that Sacrificed was a fantastic ending to this series that I have absolutely loved reading. I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.
Sacrificed by Anna Applegate is final book in her Ariya Adams trilogy. Everything has been building to this instalment and will take us back to the characters we love.
With the evil and powerful being Audrey on the loose Ariya has to find a weapon that will stop her. And stop her before she can do too much damage. With her friends by her side she sets off on her mission, hoping she won’t be too late. However not everything is quite so simple. With a secret she is also trying to hide, even from James, Ariya has everything to play for and everything to lose.
Everything has been leading up to this book and the final adventure these characters will be part of. I was excited to read this book, after enjoying the first two, and I wasn’t disappointed. The trilogy concluded well and really took you to the limit. This book felt like it didn’t let up for a second, always take you on a journey. The characters were just as engaging, the writing really pulled you into their lives. A great book and a great way to end a brilliant series. I would highly recommend these books.
This is the final book in the Ariya Adams Trilogy by Anna Applegate. I have been waiting with bated breath to finish this series and find out how this story will conclude for the much loved characters, Ariya, James, Nick, Caroline and Riley.
They find themselves on this journey to stop Audrey from destroying everything that Ariya loves and has been working so hard to protect from the get-go. It has been one fast paced and action packed adventure for Ariya to this point and the conclusion does not disappoint. This is a trilogy, so I highly recommend that you make sure to read book one, Protected, and book two, Awakened, before devouring this one. The books seamlessly flow together from one to the next, and each includes information that is pertinent to know in order to fully enjoy the series, as well as the conclusion we get in Sacrificed. I have read each of the books in under just a few hours, so it will not be hard to pick them up and devour them quickly, and they too are amazing novels to enjoy.
Picking up from Awakened, we find Ariya Adams in the midst of an action-packed task of figuring out how to stop Audrey before she can fully destroy everything Ariya has ever loved and wanted out of life. Ariya is also trying to figure out who she can really truly trust, and who is playing her and trying to hinder her. This is where the details in books one and two come into play, giving you the background to knowing how we ended up here.
You can expect to experience a little bit of everything in this story. From suspense and danger, to vampires, werewolves, and witches, there is a little bit of everything for the avid paranormal romance readers. Ariya struggles with secrets of her own and protecting it till the timing is right to share. Will she be able to save and protect the ones that she loves? Can she protect them without getting hurt herself? Or does she alone bring the danger to them that she so dreads?
I was really engrossed with the ending of this book. It wrapped everything up in a nice and detailed way, capturing my attention from beginning to end and rooting for Ariya to find the peace and happiness she so much deserves.
I can’t wait to pick up more novels from Anna Applegate and devour her words much as I did in this trilogy. I am sure that she will captivate my attention just as much as she did in this tale.
What a satisfying ending to this PNR series! Highly recommend reading the first two books prior to this one so you get the full story! Engaging from start to finish, and loads of action/angst! Ariya was such an amazing character throughout this series, would be awesome as a tv series with such a kick a#% chick!
The third and final instalment of the Ariya Adams trilogy, Sacrificed is the most dangerous and daring yet. Having been at great risk in the last book, Ariya finds herself having to make some heart-breaking decisions in order to keep herself and the ones she loves alive and safe. I have grown to really love this trilogy so to say I was excited the read the last instalment is an understatement. I was not disappointed and the other delivered the perfect ending to such an exciting series.
Ariya had been through a lot in the pervious book (isn’t Audrey just the MOST evil person ever?) so part of me was wondering what more could possibly happen to her. The other part of me already knew; taking Audrey down for good. This had me excited immediately as, strange as it may be, I’m one of those people that loves the planning that goes into a books final big event. Think of The Hunger Games and the first part of book three, Mockingjay; yeah, I LOVED that. So knowing there was going to be some serious strategic planning of how to take down Audrey once and for all, I was so ready to jump right in. The only thing I was more excited about than this was finding out what would happen to James and Ariya’s relationship. I was really rooting for these two and after Ariya’s devastating decision to cool things off after Audrey’s attack, I was worried about their future. It turns out, I was right to do so! Prepare yourself from some back-and-forth between these two; it is one crazy roller-coaster right until the end!
While I was sad the trilogy was coming to an end, I feel it was the right time to do so. The author wrapped things up perfectly, while allowing the reader to make up their own endings, or future, for the characters, too. I love and appreciated when authors do this and would like to thank the author for doing this for Ariya, James, Nick and the rest of the characters we have grown to love so much.
Overall, if you love a paranormal read, or are looking to branch out into a new genre, I would definitely recommend the Ariya Adams trilogy. It is fun, relatable and has some much drama and action you won’t be able to put them down. I think this is definitely a trilogy I will re-read and I can’t wait to do so!
Sacrificed by Anna Applegate is the third and final book in the Ariya Adams trilogy. I highly recommend reading the books in order because the story continues from book to book. The story is supernatural, action, and romance rolled into one. There are werewolves, vampires, and all sorts of other supernatural creatures. The main characters are back in this novel. Ariya, James, Caroline, Riley, and Nick are all trying to learn to trust to continue and succeed in their journey. The group has made some poor decisions in trusting the wrong people in the past. Audrey is back and more of a problem than ever. Can the group finally rid themselves of herself once and for all? Ariya also has her own challenges to face without drawing James into the challenge.
The book is well written and the characters have continued to develop through the series. I had a hard time putting it down because the story had drawn me in. I enjoyed this book and the entire series. I will continue to look for more from Anna Applegate in the future.
Sacrificed (Ariya Adams Trilogy #3) by Anna Applegate
5 out of 5 stars
Sacrificed is the final installment of the Ariya Adams Trilogy Join Ariya, James, Nick, Caroline and Riley as they conclude their journey together through the toughest trials they’ve yet to face. The characters are well written and the way they play off each other you would think they are real. The plot was great and the writing was easy to follow.
Ariya Adams has a powerful ability that has protected those she loves from every danger they’ve faced. With Audrey, a powerful and malicious being on the loose and determined to overrun the supernatural world, Ariya and her friends are on a mission of vital importance they must find a weapon that can destroy the most dangerous evil the Protectors have ever encountered. The problem is, they have no idea who they can trust.
But, that’s not the only complication though. Ariya has a life-changing secret and must carry out her own mission without her Protectors finding out especially James, who is already watching her every move.
With Audrey closing in, there’s no time to question the magnitude of the sacrifice she’ll have to make to save her friends. Will she save them in time? Can they finally accomplish what must be done and stop Audrey? Or will she succeed in destroying everything Ariya holds dear once and for all?
Even though Ms. Applegate said this was the final installment I thought the story ended in a cliffhanger. This was a great Trilogy and I highly recommend it.

Sacrificed is the third and final book in the Ariya Adams series by Anna Applegate…OR IS IT? I was convinced it was until I read the epilogue.
When the book starts we find Ariya and James in Europe searching for clues to their problems in her ancestral home. Their friends Riley, Caroline and Nick have accompanied them, but so have a few problematic enemies. Can they find their clue in time to save them from the seemingly inevitable fate that Audrey is trying to unleash on Ariya?
It is hard to say too much about the book without spoilers, but it was a fab conclusion to what has been a great series. It was reminiscent of the Twilight series for me but not enough to put me off. I did love the Twilight books so a similarity wasn’t a bad thing. It was my favourite of all 3 books. I liked the action, the character arcs and the pace at which the action unfolded. I was happy with the conclusion, although the Epilogue threw a little bit of a hope that there would be more to come. Great read for anyone looking for a new paranormal fantasy series they can really get their teeth into.
Sacarfised, is book three and final book in the Ariya Adams Series, and the book was simply amazing and sad that this amazing series is ending. The world created by Anna Applegate in this series is really what brought me in and kept me wanting more and more of Ariya. Have been given powers, Ariya tries to use them to save her friends, all while be on a very important mission, find the weapon that can destroy evil. They face many challenges while learning they cannot trust anyone. Having to find this while holding back a secret is tearing her down, she must not just hide this from the Protecters, she also has to hide this from James. Through everything one thing remains, Ariya WILL scarafice everything for her friends!
Anna Applegate created a world with James, Ariya, and friends that I was able to get lost in with each book in this series, and as sad as I am that it is over, I loved this book. I loved everything that happened to Ariya and being able to see her grow. I enjoyed being pulled right into the story and hope to read more by the author!
Sacrificed Book 3 in the Ariya Adams Trilogy by Anna Applegate
Ariya has a special power in her blood that has helped save those she loves from all the dangers they have encountered. They are searching for an ancient weapon to use against the most powerful evil they have faced yet. They must go back into her bloodlines past in a way to discover what will defeat Audrey. Can the group find the weapon before she finds them?
In this third and final book in this trilogy the author ties up everything that has taken place in the previous to books with a huge ending. I did not expect the outcome to be what it was. I really liked this twist though. I also felt this book had even more excitement than the previous two. Ariya shows the reader she is full of love and continues to show even more of that for those she cares for in this novel. James even shows more of his soft side with her than in the previous novels and their love is able to expand and grow. There weren’t very many errors that I observed in this novel, which is why I give this book 5-stars.
Sacrificed is book 3 in the Ariya Adams Trilogy by Anna Applegate. Book 1 is Protected, book 2 is Awakened. Sacrificed picks up right where Awakened ends. Going off the assumption you have read the previous two stories your familiar with Ariya and her ability to put her friends safety (and also protectors) before her own. She doesn’t listen, she’s reckless and honestly she’s a liability when it comes to trying to keep her safe. James, Nick, Caroline and Riley continue to be there for Ariya any way they can but yet again something goes wrong.
This story had a lot more action then the previous two and pulled me in a lot more. Ariya grows a lot and while her emotions still tend to blow up and get the best of her. The storyline was stronger and more controlled with where it went. The ending was the best for me.
Sacrificed by Anna Applegate is the third and final book in her Ariya Adams Trilogy series and what a great finale! Continuing the story of Ariya with all of the fantastic paranormal romance this finale is jammed packed full of suspense, drama, danger, angsty, witches, vampires and werewolves. This series is truly one that everyone can find something to like in it to wet their reading appetite. The first two books in this series really help to build up to this finale so this is one that definitely needs to be read in the order of the series for the full effect. This book picks up pretty much where book two leaves off following Ariya, James, Caroline and Nick and how they are all coping with the events that happened in book two as well as coming to terms on how to deal with Audrey. Also the question of trust is big in this book – as this dynamic group of four have run into allot of issues with trusting the wrong people in previous books – and how it has backfired on them. Allot of interesting developments happen with Ariya’s character, some that will definitely take you by surprise, but when she starts to play her cards close to the vest you can tell that Applegate is building up to a grand finale. Ariya is a character that is willing to do whatever it takes to protect those she loves and save anyone and everyone that she can, but this last mission is going to have all time high danger which will hit closer to home than ever before. But she must succeed – if not she could lose everything and everyone she holds dear. Will Ariya be able to make the sacrifices necessary to fulfill her purpose and save her loved ones? Or will she choose the safer route and lose things she isn’t prepared to begin to understand? The amount of detail in this book blew me away. From the beginning I was pulled right into this book and couldn’t put it down until I knew how it all ended. Prior to this series, Applegate was an unknown to me, but now I am addicted. Her writing is unique and deep, her characters are robust and incredibly lifelike, and the world she created is nothing short of amazing. I can’t wait to see what she has coming next for us, because I will be first in line to purchase for sure!
Anna Applegate has done it again. I am sad that the trilogy has ended (maybe it will not but that is my hope). I have been with Ariya for all three stories. It has been wonderful watching her grow in each story. She has done an amazing job to keep her secret away from her protectors, especially James. Her relationship with James has grown through the trilogy as well. Ariya, James, Nick, Caroline, and Riley have taken this journey together. They have all grown together and will have to go through the hardest part that has to come. Are they able to tell who they can trust to assist? Will Ariya complete her mission without the others finding out?

Sacrificed is the third and final book in the Ariya Adams Trilogy by Anna Applegate- and what a fantastic way to conclude the trilogy. I blasted my way through the story in a matter of a few hours, it was just that good. This really is such a wonderful paranormal romance- with action, adventure, drama, suspense, mystery, danger, threats, secrets, twists, angst, a little push-pull, vampires, witches and werewolves. As this is the third book and has a continuing/bridging storyline, I strongly suggest reading the first two books before beginning this one. There is a lot of backstory, character information and other relevant details contained in those first two books which you would need to know to fully appreciate and enjoy this book.
This story picks up pretty much where the last book ended. Ariya, James, Caroline and Nick are still coming to terms with the events from the last book and are trying to figure out the best way to deal with Audrey- once and for all. They also have the problem of not really knowing who they can trust, apart from themselves. Their search takes them on a journey that delivers some of the answers they’re looking for, but also brings an unexpected development which Ariya will need to keep close to her chest until the right time. Ariya is willing to do whatever it takes to protect/save the ones she loves. But with danger at an all time high, and a clear and present threat edging ever closer- will she get her chance to set everything right again? To fulfill her purpose and save her loved ones? There are so many fantastic details and surprising development to this story, that you would be missing out on by not reading the story/series.
I have really enjoyed this series, each instalment just seemed to get better and better. This really was the perfect conclusion to the story. I wonder what Ms. Applegate has in store for us next? I can’t wait to find out!
Thank you, Ms. Applegate!
Sacrificed by Anna Applegate is the final book in the Ariya Adams Trilogy and should definitely be read along with the other two to get maximum enjoyment out of it. Ariya and her group of friends are on the hunt for a powerful weapon that can be used against Audrey, a powerful evil that we were introduced to in the last book. Added to this are attacks from vampires, werewolves, and a traitor inside the Protector Council. The stakes couldn’t be any higher for these characters that have pulled me in from the very first book. The storyline just grabs you and you have to keep reading until the very end no matter how late it is. Another fantastic five star read and an amazing ending to a great trilogy and I’m excited to see where this author takes readers next!
Sacrificed, by Anna Applegate, is the third book of the Ariya Adams Trilogy. This paranormal/fantasy romance themed story was a written pleasure to read. From the first book to the final, the author created a truly unique story with dynamic characters that stood out in a remarkable tale. Steady character development and adventure has brought us to the conclusion of this story trail for Ariya and it was done with finesse and amazing writing talent. Upon cresting into the final chapters of this story, I fell in love with how it was written and what the author has shared from their imagination. This was truly a well written piece of work and an absolutely pleasure to read.
