Available for the first time in a Premium edition, one of New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Faye Kellerman’s fan-favorite Decker/Lazurus novels.
Read the first book in this series long ago and was glad to be re intoduced to these characters. Like the plot and the sub plots in this book.

This is part of a series about an Orthodox Jewish woman and the detective who becomes a part of her life. She is strong, compassionate and smart. This doesn’t dumb down the Jewish aspects of the story. Though it is an older book it still reads well. It is well plotted and the characters are engaging.

Both Kellermans are incredibly talented. If I had to choose one I couldn’t. This book by Faye was particularly engrossing, as the title alone indicates. A book I did t want to put down.

The first in the series was a five. This should be a 6 star.

Me Kellermans inclusion of Orthodox Jews as characters is both informational and inciteful. The love story of a widowed Orthodox Jew and a Baptist detective makes for a fun read. Happily ever after can happen but it doesn’t always come easy!

I find Faye Kellerman’s Peter Decker and Rina Lazarus detective novels to be very well written with good story lines and characters.
