Could she be my SAVIOR?With her, I don’t have to hide the demons that haunt me, or to relive my darkest days alone. With me, she’s free to be whoever she … she’s free to be whoever she wants to be. She’s amazing.
Together, we’re two people clinging to a ray of sunshine that only the other can see.
I let my guard down. I got too comfortable. I thought the war had been won when, in reality, it had just begun. When old debts accrue, past demons return to collect their dues.

5 SACRED stars for Dove & Cruise! Intense, passionate, heart achingly and wonderful, this book is a wild ride.
“I’m not an angel.”
Oh mon dieu ! Ce livre est magnifique. Sacred par S. L. Scott est une oeuvre d’art! If I thought only Alex and Jason could ruin me, I was wrong. Because Cruise has done it in the best way possible.
This book is a piece of perfection. S. L. Scott’s writing is poetically seductive. She is wonderfully talented. The stories she creates are painfully addictive. Every book of her has a especial touch. They have something that make you want more. It is like you always crave for more and more of her books. There is not greater pleasure than reading her books. Sacred is not the exception.
It could be read as an stand alone but it involves people from previous books. I recommend you to start the Kingwood Duet before you read this one because this way you will enjoy it the most. Many of whom have read Savage and Savior had fallen for Cruise. He has something too appealing for his own good.
Sacred is a beautiful book wrapped in a sexy cover. It is brilliantly written.from the beginning to the end. The characters are strong and well developed. The plot is brilliant. This time S. L. Scott delivers a heartache story where the characters have endured so much pain during their life. She presents us two damaged souls trying to find their place in the world.
“I think I just met the one person who speaks to my body and mind, and makes me feel alive again. Dove. My little peacemaker. She smells like heaven, but I bet she tastes like sin. Undoing.”
Cruise is trouble with capital letters. He is not the type of guy you take home to meet your parents. He is an enigma. He is loyal and he is capable of sacrifice himself. He endured a hard situation that lead him to close himself. He has lost his way until fate give him a chance to find happiness.
“I’ll claim your soul as mine and keep it forever.”“You sound like the devil.”“I never claimed to be an angel.”
Clara is a strong young woman who has a hard life. She is also a survivor. She is trying to heal her wounded soul. She does not feel beautiful. Her past is shadowing her future. Cruise will be her saviour. Her dark angel with a heart of gold. She craves happiness. Will Cruise give her what she wants?
“I’m the one who wants you to be mine, but I’ll be your biggest regret.”
Two shattered souls will find their way to put back the pieces. They will have to work together. They will learn to trust each other. They will be free to love. They will heal the scars life gave them.
“I don’t know who you are outside these walls, but I like who we are together.”
Clara and Cruise are one of the sweetest and strongest couples. Fate has brought them together at the right time. They are survivors and they belong to each other.
“My little dove free right into my life when I bedded her most”
I love every page of this book. I love the suspense. This book literally blow my mind. It was intense, painful and hunting. At some point my heart broke a little. The hard things Clara endured made me cry. She was so strong. Her life is an example that God never gives us more than we can bear.
Clara finds her saviour and hope. Cruise finds his peace and soul mate.
Intense, passionate, heart achingly and wonderful, this book is a wild ride. Clara and Cruise’s story will touch your heart in a bittersweet way. Five stars are not enough for this enthralling book. This is MUST READ you won’t want to miss. I highly recommend you this book.
”He is an angel dressed as devil, making me want to commit sins against the heavens.”
Sacred is a standalone but I would suggest reading Savage/Savior first so you know the whole story and more of the details. I loved Cruise in those books and I love him even more after reading Sacred. An honorable man that doesn’t see himself that way but just by the things he does and says, it’s hard not to fall in love with him.
Cruise has hit a low and even if he hasn’t really hit rock bottom yet, he doesn’t feel like himself and that may have been for a while now. When he decides to take a break, that’s when he meets Clara and feels an instant attraction to her.
It may not seem like that on the outside, but on the inside Clara is hurting very badly. She has been through things that not many people would have even survived and when she meets Cruise, every day they get to know each other better, the more Clara is feeling like more of herself.
But the past seems to be always near her and when it’s time to finally fight back, Cruise will do whatever it takes to keep her safe.
Finally we get to know more about the mysteries Cruse. This is classified as a stand alone but you really need to read the king wood duet to see the whole back story of Cruse.
Cruse was the mysterious bad boy but he has been through a lot he was kidnapped and beaten within an inch of his life. He has recovered physically but not mentally. He hopes to one day find the love of his life like Alex and Sara Jane but will that heal his wounds?
Clara has secrets more than anyone her age should have on the outside she is care free and fun but inside she is dark and broken can she find normal? Can she find someone to love her and her past?
A chance meeting with Cruse is changing all her thoughts on having a relationship and a normal life.
Can they find love and fix each other or will their dark tangled past be to much to bare?
Such a good book!
SACRED is really the fourth book in the Kingwood Series, but very much could be read as a standalone. However, the main bad boy Cruise is very much in the Kingwood Duet (SAVAGE & SAVIOR) and the Epic Love Story of Alex and Sara Jane. I would highly recommend starting reading there to get a feeling for all the characters. SOLACE follows the Duet and again Cruise makes an appearance, but the story is Jason & Delilah’s Second Chance Romance. After you have read these three books, you very much will want to read Cruise’s Story SACRED. I sure did!
Cruise (John) Christley has been through so much. That includes being kidnapped and tortured along with his best-friend Alexander Kingwood IV. Afterwards, Alex at least had his Sarah Ann, but Cruise was left scarred, lost, and alone. He thought this would be his destiny in life, until he caught sight of a beautiful girl in a tight bubblegum pink skirt. He couldn’t help but to follow her, never knowing at the very moment, he was following his future destiny. When he thought there was no hope, she fills a room with light, making him forget about the darkness. Could she be the answer to his problems? Will she forgive a sinner like him? Will she accept him broken, a lot damaged, and just getting by day by day?
What Cruise doesn’t know is that she is keeping huge secrets of her own. She very well might be more broken then him. Even her name is not her own. Clara Eckerd chose her name because Clara means bright or clear. And chose the last name Eckerd because it meant “Sacred”! Cruise told her his name was just a nickname, and John was his legal name. His best-friend Alex had given him the nickname Cruise. Alex used to say he took everything in stride. That he shifted into cruise control and coasted. Now they clung to each other, because life had become Sacred.
Just when they thought all they needed was each other, both their pasts come roaring back to try to tear their world apart. They were stronger together and neither one was ready to let go. They didn’t need the stars to find each other, because their hearts had found the way. They would fight any odds to stay together. “To Live. To Love. Irrevocably!” Would it be enough?
Wow!!! I freaking loved this book. S.L. Scott has once again left me reeling after reading this book. I was hooked and couldn’t put this book down. Word to the wise… do not start reading this book at night if you value sleep because you won’t be getting it if you do. You will not be able to put this book down.
S.L. Scott delivered characters that you will absolutely love. Clara is such a strong girl who has lived through so much but is still so happy, loyal, caring and full of love. She does have some lingering issues but Cruise is so perfect for her and helps her. Unfortunately her life isn’t done with the chaos. The story line is absolutely addicting and will leave you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next or what secret will be revealed next!
Cruise was introduced in The Kingwood Duet and I have been intrigued with him since the first book. I was thrilled to get his story and I loved it almost if not more than Alex’s story which I loved so much. Cruise hasn’t been really living for a while and wants to change things and to figure out some linger questions he’s had. His life is about to take a turn when he meets Clara. He never thought he’d ever find someone like Clara but she is absolutely addicting and I just loved reading their story.
I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait to see what S.L. Scott has in store for us in the hopefully near future. You don’t have to read The Kingwood Duet in order to enjoy this book but it may help to get the full background of things.
