What he wants he gets…

Knox Masters is a quarterback’s worst nightmare. Warrior. Champion. And…virgin. Knox knows what he wants–and he gets it. All American Football player? Check. NFL pros scouting him? Check. Now, he’s set his sight on two things. The national title. And Ellie Campbell. Sure, she’s the sister of his fellow teammate, but that’s not going to stop him. Especially not when … not when he’s convinced Ellie is the one.

…but he’s never met her before.
But Ellie isn’t as sure. She’s trying to start a new life and she’s not interested in a relationship…with anyone. Beside it’s not just her cardinal rule of never dating her brother’s teammates that keeps her away, but Ellie has a dark secret that would jeopardize everything Knox is pursuing.
Knox has no intention of losing. Ellie has no intention of giving in.

Sacked was a fantastic, sweet, refreshing romance with a touch of angst and drama. This is the first book I have read by Jen Frederick and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Knox Masters was a heart-stealing, virgin alpha hero. I absolutely loved him! He was confident but not arrogant, an amazing leader, and had a mind full of determination. Knox won many brownie points with me throughout the whole book. I loved that he wanted to wait (and waiting he did) for the right girl and not just indulge in meaningless sex despite being surrounded by offers and temptations. Once he met Ellie and knew she was the one, he was relentless in his pursuit for her.
Ellie Campbell was an admirable, hard-working heroine. I loved her too especially the lengths she would go to for her brother. I really felt for her given her family situation. But through all that was happening in her life, she was strong.
Knox and Ellie shared a special connection from the first time they met. It was amazing to see a guarded Ellie fall in love with a all-in Knox. I’m glad they found each other because they were meant to be.
I’m new to this author, I had to give it a try because I like reading sports romances. This was a wonderfully, cute, romantic story about two young people drawn to one another. Ellie and Knox have great chemistry and a wonderful friendship. It’s hard not to fall in love with them. I did not want this book to end. Ms. Frederick, you just got a new fan!
Ellie is hoping that starting her junior year at a new college that she will get to start a new life and making new friends that don’t revolve around her football star brother. While she knows all about Knox Masters and the football legend that he is, she wasn’t expecting the pull that they have towards each other. And as much as she wants to stay away, Knox isn’t having it. Knox has avoided relationships and girls in general but one look at Ellie and he knows that she is the one and will do anything to make her realize it.
Knox is probably my new favorite book boyfriend. I absolutely adored how sure he was about Ellie; that there wasn’t a single doubt in his mind. He was so refreshing and cute and sexy. He always said and did the right thing that made me fall even more for him. Love love love Knox. And poor Ellie, I felt for her. Always having to live in her brother’s shadow with her parents and “friends” that just wanted to be with her brother. This was her chance to break away from her parents hold but her mom was such a bitch. My heart broke for Ellie with the pressure that her mom put on her and all she had to endure because of it. I loved these two so much. And the ending. . . the way it all played out – I melted. So freaking cute and perfect. Ugh, I want more Knox and Ellie.
My favorite football romance!

Sacked is the first book of the Gridiron series by Jen Frederick. It’s also my first book by Frederick. It was thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable. I became an instant fan of Frederick’s writing style.
The basic premise is a promising foundation for the overall storyline: star college athlete, Knox Masters meets new teammate’s sister, Ellie Campbell. The age old rule that family is off limits holds true, but the draw is too strong. The depth of the story comes from the secrets that unfold for Ellie’s brother, Jack, and his learning disability. Frederick peeled back the layers of the challenges, acceptance, and remedies for people with learning disabilities. It’s a prevalent issue in today’s society and Frederick showcased one potential scenario well. It was plausible, adding dimension and substance to the storyline.
Another aspect of the storyline that brought depth was the concept of abstinence. It’s not a common theory on today’s college campuses so it provided a refreshing twist. Additionally, Frederick used the experience of identical twins to bring humor and another dimension to the saga.
The supporting cast was strong providing additional humor and intrigue. I’d love to see books for Ty, Jack, Ace and Stella. Matt’s story is next in the series, The Jockblock, and I’m looking forward to it.
The overall story was sweet; yet emotional at times and a fairly quick read. There are so many directions that Frederick can take this series, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
I really enjoyed this book, which is unusual for me because I don’t usually like football romances. I liked Knox and Ellie, both as a couple and individually. The story was interesting and made me keep wanting more.
Omg this book completely hooked me!! I instantly fell in love with the characters and wasn’t able to put it down until it was finished. I wish there was more pages seriously I didn’t want these twos story to ever end. This book was just wow just wow. It was angsty, sweet and makes you believe in love. I hope this author writes another story for this couple because I’m definitely not ready to let these two go.
Really enjoyed
