Ryker is part of the new chapter of the Dead Souls MC. It is a hot motorcycle romance that follows the prospects of the Dead Souls Motorcycle Club and the women that love them. more
A Rollercoaster of Emotions
What a gut wrenching storyline. I was in such a quagmire while reading the first half of the book. I wanted to stop or skip over parts when Ryker’s Ariel was taken, but I didn’t. I even had a visceral reaction to Ryker’s reaction.
Kaylynn is such an interesting character. I hope the author will continue to develop her in the next book as they confront Mr. Lars to get one of their members’ back (I hope). Anyway, Kaylynn became a good maternal figure for Ariel, something she has never had. So I was glad that she went with Ryker and Ariel to the clubhouse for safety.
Then, quickly Ryker and Kaylynn got hot and heavy. Obviously there is a strong bond forming as they share scars from childhood traumas.
So we continue to wait for resolution with the Mafia head, Mr Lars. This drama continues on in the next book, “Toxin”.
Definitely recommending this book and the Dead Souls Series for your reading enjoyment and pleasure.
I received an ARC from the Author which resulted in my voluntarily leaving this review. Peace.
I thought that this was a very good read. Ryker and Kaylynn’s story offers plenty of intensity, drama, raw emotions, danger, action and romance. One of the things I found particularly appealing about this book was its complex look at family. It doesn’t matter if it is the one you are born into or the one you chose for yourself, family always comes with those ties that bind. Sometimes that means security and the knowledge that someone will always be there for you and sometimes it means figurative shackles and having a loadstone around your neck. I felt that this book did a great job of showcasing both.
