Book #4 in the Slater Brothers series*
Branna Murphy is broken. For months now she has been a part of a one-sided relationship to a man she loves more than life itself. She prayed for a miracle, and hoped something would change, but found that was wishful thinking.
Talking didn’t work. Shouting didn’t work. Crying didn’t work. Nothing bloody worked.
Ryder Slater is furious. For months now he … Slater is furious. For months now he has been lying to a woman he would take a bullet for in order to protect her. He is involved in something that goes deeper than his old past, and if he strays off target, people will start to die. People he loves.
He couldn’t talk. He couldn’t slip up. He couldn’t lose focus. He couldn’t do a damn thing.
Things between Ryder and Branna are at rock bottom, and Ryder knows it. Not only will he be taking on a force that could destroy his whole family, but he will be battling tooth and nail to save his relationship and keep the love of his life by his side.
Ryder targeted Branna from the first moment he saw her, and what Ryder targets, Ryder dominates.

Ryder wasn’t always the most secretive Slater brother, in fact when he and Branna first got together, he was pretty much an open book. He told her all about his criminal background and the fact that they were nearly done with it all. However, in the intervening years, things haven’t quite panned out the way Ryder expected and he hasn’t been telling Branna everything that has been going on.
She asks him where he goes and he tells her not to worry about it. She asks him about their finances and he says he will take care of it but won’t give her any information. She feels they are growing apart. She remembers when they first met and he said she would always be his, but it no longer feels that way. There are a lot of twists and turns in this and Ryder loves Branna. It is a great story.
I am not usually a fan of books where the main characters are already together but when it’s comes to the Slater brothers and L.A Casey you read that book and you know you are going to enjoy it.
I really loved this story it just shows that not everyone was happy in this family and that everything wasn’t perfect. Branna and Ryder were the first to be together and they felt like they were the parents for all the brothers and sister. They really lost there way through the first four books.
Ryder and Branna were living like two separate people and really hid how they were doing tot her families and i really felt for Branna cause she loved Ryder so much but she was losing herself and needed to break from Ryder.
Ryder is your typical alpha male who was not going to let Branna go, but he had a fight on his hands because there relationship had been through the ringer and it just seemed so helpless, but being a Slater he would never give up.
I absolutely loved this story and it was so good to listen to, this book had it all drama, laughs, emotional, just an awesome storyline and a perfect book for these to.
Another awesome book in this awesome series loved loved loved it.
Wow!!!! Ryder will blow your mind. You won’t believe what he has been up to. So I hope you have read all the previous books to know what’s going on because your going to want to scream and swoon all at once. Go read it, you won’t be disappointed

Ryder, the fourth book of the Slater Brothers series, was entertaining and enjoyable. As expected, it was written with the Irish dialect. Both the storyline and the characters were well developed and filled with love, suspense and intrigue.
Branna and Ryder’s story began in the first book, Dominic. They are each the eldest sibling and parental figure to Bronagh and Dominic respectively. They have been prominent characters through each book in the series, developing and teasing us until the climax with their own book.
Casey took us successfully between the past and the present throughout the book to provide the full story including the complexities of how Branna and Ryder came to the conflicts of present day.
I fell in love with the characters previously and fell even deeper with this book. It was an emotional roller coaster including all of the aspects we’ve come to expect in a Slater Brothers saga: love, excitement, fear, heartbreak, suspense, danger, adventure, and humor.
Ryder is intense, moody and obviously keeping secrets from Branna. On one hand, she’s his world but on the other hand, he’s built an unsurmountable wall between them. Branna is done and beginning to build her life without Ryder. He’s the typical brooding, gorgeous alpha male; however, his vulnerability was exposed in a way not seen previously. Casey then slowly uncovered the layers that brought us to this point and took us through a resolution.
True to form, Casey utilized all of the supporting characters from the previous books in the series. I love how she continues to build on the characters, themes and circumstances from each book for one complete story. It’s consistent, entertaining, and complex.
Ryder was my favorite book so far. I can’t wait to read Damien’s story.
It’s been five years since Branna Murphy fell head over heels in love with the eldest Slater brother. He is gorgeous, sexy, domineering, protective and for the past year and a half, he’s also the man who’s been slowly breaking her and her heart. Branna has kept it all in. Their family has gone through too much recently and Branna couldn’t burden anybody with her pain. But now? Now it has to stop. Enough with his secrets. Enough with the distance. For a while, they fought. They fought constantly. Now? Now, they can’t even bother to fight anymore. They just ignore each other and that hurts even more. So, Branna is done. Ryder can see he is losing her. Branna is his life. She is his everything. But he can see that she is slipping through his fingers, and there is nothing he can do to stop it. Two more days, that’s all he needs and then he can come clean. Then he can tell her everything. Then he can start to put them back together. Because there is one certainty in Ryder’s life and that is that Branna is his. Forever. Ryder is intense, poignant, hot as hell, funny as always, sad and crushing, healing and above all another Slater favorite. L.A. Casey is absolutely brilliant. Can’t wait for what comes next!
