Candice: One damn kiss. A kiss that not only destroyed our future but ended my ability to believe, to trust, to love. That kiss was supposed to be the start of our forever. Instead, it marked the beginning of our end. He was my best friend. We should have known better.Three years kept us apart. Now, Ryan’s coming home. I’m older, wiser, and no longer the starry-eyed girl who followed his every … starry-eyed girl who followed his every command. Yet an invisible rope continues to tug at us like no time has passed at all.
He almost destroyed me last time. I won’t give him a chance to do it again.
I can’t. I won’t. Will I?

I’ve been wanting to read this one for awhile and I’m so glad I did. I really felt this one. I loved Ryan and Candice’s friendship and the roles their families played into it. I liked that they were opposites, but that they had major key issues that were the same. I liked the back and forth between then and now and it kept me guessing.
Who doesn’t love a second chance for love? Especially if it’s well written. This is the first book I’ve read by this author, but he drew me in and has left me wanting more. I love books that do that. I want to feel like I’m part of the story when I’m reading, not just learning about it. Mel Walker does just that in the way he weaves a story. I highly recommend you read this book. You won’t regret the time or money spent.
I loved this book. Much like the others, I couldn’t read it fast enough which was kind of frustrating to me, but second sense was I got to enjoy it that much longer. No spoilers, just a good book all around
I love second chance romance books. This one sure didn’t disappoint. Candice and Ryan never would have meet if he didn’t need help in a class. I loved reading this book. It was so sweet and we get to see how these to grow up. When they come back together, they decided to be civil. But finally everything come out and i just loved how it turns out. I loved how they were best friends first. Both not wanting to lose the other.
This was a nice clean read. I did struggle with the amount of anger that Candice had towards Ryan. Especially since she never really talked to him about her feelings but I get that it hurt. I just thought the way she carried on that he did the ultimate wrong but I was majorly surprised when I found out the reason why.
Ryan’s Kiss
This books was a good! Ryan and Candice are truly best friends who fall for each other but are scared to destroy their friendship. Lies and plotting make their lives take turns which lead them apart. Years later they are given another chance at love.
Emotional and real!
Second chance love story at its best. Candice and Ryan, we can all relate to and their relationship is one we’ve all seen or been a part of. They start as friends and become so much more to each other until life comes between them. Their story will take us to the past and bring us back to the now as they decide who they are and if there is anything thing left between them.
Get the tissues out as this will pull at your heartstrings and hold on for the rollercoaster of a ride from this enchanting couple.
A sweet beautiful read. Best friends, heartbreak and second chances. Reading this author makes my happy.
I was really looking forward to this book. The blurb was really good. I found the book had some great characters. This story follows Ryan and Candice, study partners from college and their quest to find friendship and possibly more.
I was hooked for the first half of the book but after that things just got monotonous. It seemed like the same back and forth and was pretty predictable. I felt that the story lacked interest, information and appeal. It just dragged for me. I really wanted to love this book. It just didn’t do it for me. I would have loved to have read what happened during their time apart. If they dated, how innocent or not they were. What their lives were like. 2/5
This book is written in a “Then” and “Now” timeline starting with juniors in college to approximately 4 years later. Candice is asked by her professor to help volleyball star Ryan catch up when he decides to double major in economics. They form a friendship from their first study session bonding over the lose of their mothers. These two kids have their future planned as far as careers are concerned but she’s in love and he’s in the friend zone.
