Ryan is a contemporary romance and the final book in the series, For The Love Of A Good Woman. It can be read as a standalone, but the characters are intertwined throughout the series.“You’d better hope he doesn’t find out. No man wants his woman licking someone else’s spoon,” Cece said as she pointed her spoon at Maggie.“I don’t think he’d mind. The other night, I was doing this thing that he … night, I was doing this thing that he really likes and I asked him if he’d be okay doing a three way,” Maggie smiled and waggled her eyebrows.
“And he agreed?” Lillian said with a squeak.
Maggie nodded with a big smile. “Of course, I would be willing to share with you ladies if one of you is willing to give up your man for the night.”
“Did she just say what I think she said?” Logan asked.
“Sounds like Maggie and Sebastian are planning to have a three way with one of us,” Drew said with a raised eyebrow. “Dude. I don’t double up with other guys.”
“I never agreed to that. That’s total bullshit,” Sebastian hissed.
“I don’t mind sharing Drew. He’s really good, but now that I’m pregnant, I’m just not in the mood. He should get it somewhere,” Sarah said.
“No. Not happening,” Drew said, shaking his head furiously. He turned to Sebastian with an accusatory finger. “You’re sick.”
Sebastian held his hands up. “I didn’t suggest it! I don’t know where she’s getting this from.”
“Apparently, you agreed when she did that thing you like.” Cole said with a raised brow. “Just don’t come to me. I saw my fair share of other guys junk in the military. Don’t need to see it now.”
“What about Logan?” Maggie asked. “He’s adventurous in the bedroom. Do you think he’d do it?”
“We’ve talked about three ways before. If I’m willing to do it for him, I don’t see why he wouldn’t do it for me.”
“This is frickin’ crazy. They’re out there planning three ways for us. Someone needs to stop them,” Logan said as he struggled to push through the guys to get to the top.
“You know, there was a time when I thought Ryan was gay.” Harper said thoughtfully. I held up my hands, shushing all of them so I could hear what was being said about me. “Until you came along, I really thought he was batting for the other team. Are you sure he doesn’t swing both ways?”
“I guess I couldn’t be one hundred percent sure. It’s been a while, so maybe I’m just hoping that he’s really into me.”
“He could be using you as a beard,” Alex replied. “I’ve seen it happen before. Let’s face it, you needed help and were the perfect excuse.”
I noticed the guys stepped slightly away from me as if I would jump them any second.
“I’m not frickin’ gay,” I snarled.
Ryan
I would do anything to have what my friends have, the love of a good woman. Cassandra’s that woman. I’ve known it since I met her two years ago. I’ve been chasing her since we finished our joint project at VAS, but she keeps turning me down. She’s gone out with me and met my friends, but she wouldn’t date me. Now I know why. I would do anything, give anything to help her and hopefully prove to her that I am the man that she needs. But will this one thing I can give her be enough to keep her?
Cassandra
Ryan is the one man that could make me rethink everything I’ve been telling myself for the last two years. From the moment we met, I felt a pull to him and knew he had the ability to change my life. There’s nothing more I would like than to give in and be with him, but my circumstances have me holding back. When someone from my past came back and threatened everything I hold dear, Ryan stepped up and proved to be the man I always suspected he was. Now if I can just let my heart believe it’s real.

Surprising end
I liked this story from the beginning because the starting point is quite interesting: it all starts on Ryan’s wedding day with the woman he’s been trying to seduce for a year and a half. It is an express wedding that he proposed so that she can keep the custody of her 10 year old son, now that the biological father wants to recover it to please his wife. The interesting point is that past the act of chivalry, Ryan realizes that he probably made the biggest nonsense of his life and that from the wedding ceremony. Then they discover each other, and build, that life they should have built before.
It’s extremely well written with endearing characters, almost a guide on how to become a good stepfather.
The end is completely unexpected and unpredictable.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is a wellwritten fastpaced actionpacked and emotional pageturner. I loved the storyline and the characters. Would love to read more about what happens to Ryan and his son James.

Ryan finally is with the woman that he has wanted for over a year, but they have so many obstacles to overcome, but he knows they have chemistry, and he has the patience to make it work.
Cassandra is worried Ryan will leave like her ex but, the chemistry with Ryan makes her want to try, and agrees to go on a date with him, Ryan assures her he’s not going anywhere, he chased her for over a year and he want to make this work, he wants it all now. With all their built-up chemistry it exploded both thinking it life altering.
Ryan finally has everything he wanted and more, but will he get to keep his happily ever after or will it change in the blink of an eye.
Ryan Jackson just wanted to be of some help. I’m glad that the author let’s us hear Ryan’s thoughts right out of the gate. But if I’d been standing next to him, I would have said, “man what were you thinking?” It was funny to watch him dig himself into a hole – it was kinda nice to laugh at his expense. Once I got to the end of this book, I would have probably slapped him on the back and told him that he made the perfect choice.
Cassandra Crawford just had her circumstances change drastically. She helped me a lot when it came to laughing at a lot of the scenes in this book. In one particular scene I probably would have been on the floor laughing. It also made me glad that I wasn’t in my dad’s vicinity when he had “the talk” with my brothers. After meeting some of Ryan’s friends’ wives while they were having a comparison fest, it left me wanting to find out what I’ve missed.
This story’s not all about the laughs. There are plenty of serious moments and plenty of heat. The pleasant moments were the family moments. I got so hooked into what was going on that I didn’t have a clue that the author included a twist. All I’ll tell you is to be close by to your box of tissues because you’re going to need it. The ending is bittersweet but you’ll want to be prepared to read a book that ties into the Reed Securities series titled Lola.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Ryan and Cassie, I have wanted their book since he did up her shirt at their first meeting in Logan’s book. The two have kind of danced around anything happening between them; Cassie has been keeping Ryan at arms length, and Ryan of course wanting to have some sort of relationship with Cassie. When Ryan finds out that Cassie has a kid, it comes as a bit of a shock, but he handles it, and even offers his help in the situation that Cassie finds herself in. Ryan offers to marry her, so that she has a better leg to stand on in her custody hearing. Cassie at first is nervous but takes Ryan up on his offer, and soon her son, James and herself end up moving into Ryan’s cabin with him. When the three are thrown together in an instant family, it will take patience and a willingness to work things out, for them to make this arrangement work. The offer is until the custody hearing is done, but what happens if Cassie and Ryan decide that they don’t want this arrangement to end?
So, this was well on its way to a 5 star read, and then the author pulled a twist at 80% that I did not see coming. Now, I don’t even want to read anymore from this author. This is supposed to be how she ends the series???? WTH is that! What was working to be my fav of all 7 books is now a 1 star rating.
This story blew me away; I most definitely did not expect that ending, and I sincerely hope that there is another novel to follow this one in order to answer questions unanswered here!
This is the 7th book in this phenomenal series, and is Ryan and Cassandra’s story. Ryan has had his eye on Cassandra for two years, and accepts anything she is willing to give him, which is a friendship. However, neither of them can deny their feelings, and the chemistry is intense. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed! This is another well written story, which is raw, gritty, emotional, heartbreaking, and humorous. I cannot wait to read more from this talented author, and I highly recommend her work for all readers!
I hated that Cassie died. That is not how I wanted it to end. It was too depressing.
