I’m an asshole. And I make no apologies for it. My life has been spent drenched in the blood of my enemies. Our family legacy, left only to me when my brother walked away. Women are pawns in a game for pleasure. Nothing more. Until her. Madison Parker. I’m enthralled. Captivated. But my past is far too dark.Pushing her away is my only option.Yet her stubborn, sassy mouth and beautiful eyes weaken … her stubborn, sassy mouth and beautiful eyes weaken me.
I save her as much as she saves me.
Then blood is spilled once more, and I’ll forever live with the guilt.
Can light find its way through my darkness?
Can she truly be the salvation for this ruthless heart?

Ruthless was a great 5 star read and book four in the Sins of Seven series.
Callan’s brother is part owner of the BDSM club Seven Sins. He has just recently moved to town with their sister Cayleigh. When he sees Madison her innocence calls to him, he wants her badly. His brother has warned him off but that only makes him want her more. Callan has a dark side to his needs, I would say he’s a light sadist.
Madison went to the club to get away and have some freedom from her father and his goons. When she sees Callan she knows he can give her what she’s looking for. When she approaches Callan she pushes him to agree to a scene with her.
When a woman relinquishes everything to me, my restraint disappears. The best that resides within me awakens, and its hunger knows no bounds. Nothing is sacred.
Callan has some secrets and when he gets a job as Madison’s body guard, things get more interesting from here. The connection these two is off the charts hot as heck. There are some twists and turns that added a great element to the story. The secondary characters were great, loved seeing some from the previous books. Overall I loved this book and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. Dani continues to get even grittier with this must read series.
I will warn that there are some dark scenes that could cause triggers for some.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Wow! This book was hot! It left me in one tizzied, careless, emotional mess!! It was amazing. I couldn’t put it down.
Ruthless, is my favourite of the Sins of Seven series so far. I loved Callan and Madison’s forbidden love story.
Callan O’Leary has been warned to stay away from Madison Parker, she’s a good girl, the Senators daughter. But would an innocent girl be seen in Seven Sins? He has a job to do, will his obsession with Madison get in the way of him achieving his goal.
They both have secrets and dark desires. Together will their two broken souls be able to heal.
Dani René knows how to keep a reader reading. Captivating characters in a fantastic storyline. I can’t wait to see where the Sins of Seven Series goes next.
Well what to say……this book is intense. Your gripped from the start and don’t what to put it down. It’s very dark in places but well worth the read. Callan is a massive alpha male who has no cares, and only worries about himself. This is until he meets Madison at Sins. There relationship is full of sexy, dark times. This is definitely a must read. Dani you have done it again!! Can’t wait for the next book! *****
Ruthless is book four in the Sins of Seven series. This can be read as a standalone but don’t do it. Seriously this is a fantastic series so I highly recommend you read them all and in order.
Callan and Madison are two complex characters. They two broken characters from completely different backgrounds.
I’m in awe of this author. Yet again she has written a story that has me saying it’s my favourite of hers to date. She has a superb way with words. Once I start one of her books I can’t tell but read in one sitting.
This is an amazing read. I’m so looking forward to reading more from this author.
P.s. I may be biased but I love the name Callan 🙂
Oh my Callen!!! This story was personally my fave but still really liked the story of him and Madison. Can’t wait to for the rest of the series
A well written story with a captivating storyline and plot. The characters are well described and they develop nicely through the story. The story is written in dual POV which gives the reader more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters and makes the story more real.
The story flows well of the pages. Twists and turns and the danger and drama makes it worth the read.
A mix of drama, BDSM, dominance, danger, steamy scenes, emotions, instant attraction, closed hearts and likeable characters. All this makes this story worth the read.
Two characters that has had a past that is not the best. They have to open up and also find out what they seek and let the right one into their hearts.
Callan is a jerk no seriously he’s darn right mean, evil and dark and really doesn’t care what anyone thinks he loves control and power. Madison has been sneaking into a club well she thinks she has but Callan wants her. I love my azz alpha men and Callan made me swoon! Madison & Callan together was making my kindle melt! Definitely a must read story! 5/5 stars
Just like the title, this book is ruthless. It ruthlessly grabs the heart, the soul and refuses to let go. Every single moment is a journey and Dani René created yet another masterpiece.
The character development is intense. The author pours so much into each character especially with her portrayal of Madison and Callan, which is flawless. The tension and build of the relationship dynamics between those two main characters not just met my expectations but exceeded them as well. I didn’t know whether to run away from Callan or kneel and worship him. Madison broke my heart and made my soul soar. Some may consider the characters broken but I always see strength with Dani René’s representation and vividness she brings to each character. This high level of character development is accompanied by the author’s attention to detail on world building. It truly is phenomenal.
The story itself flowed naturally. Nothing felt forced or out of place. Dani René managed to make it raw, gritty and eloquent. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and obsessed with the book. The author knows how to elicit every emotion possible to where it feels like a twisted path all the way to the conclusion.
5 Stars for a dark and emotional story that captivated me from the beginning! Highly recommend!
Wow!! What has just happened to me? Did actually just read that? I’m in shock no actually I’m awe of Dani, this book was her best work to date and believe me I’ve read ALOT of her books.
Warning before you read this book you have to know this isn’t your classic romance here, it isn’t all roses and pink bunny rabbits. These characters are flawed which for me makes me love them a little more.
Dani really pushed her writing with this story and also pushed the limits as there is elements of this book that could have possible triggers for some people so be warned.
Callan OMFG!!! Callan he can only be described as he isn’t a nice man, or kind or have a romantic bone in his body but Madison brings down his walls piece by piece. This story is my favourite as its not about love its more like hate actually it’s like they hate to love and love to hate. It’s just beautifully flawed and I loved that.
Awesome !! I absolutely loved Callan and Madison’s story. It was a captivating story that kept me turning page after page until the end. Great storyline with characters that drew me in from the beginning. Awesome writing that left me wanting more
Loved this book and the series.
That moment you finish a book and you’re left breathless! YASSS! Erotic, Sensual, Exquisite, and All The Feels!!!!
A Must Read!!!!
If you like Alpha male, this book is definitely worth your time.
Love the characters especially the tough lead guy. But like the way the the girl he falls for can take care of herself. They make the perfect match.
The characters are intriguing. The story is compelling.
Wow…what a story.
I am going to warn you now….this is not an easy story to read. There are parts that could be triggers. Like major triggers. So if you need a warning of any kind, this book is probably not for you.
With that being said…..HOLY COW!!! What did I just read?!?!
Wrath: can be defined as uncontrolled feelings of anger, rage, and even hatred. Wrath often reveals itself in the wish to seek vengeance. In its purest form, wrath presents with injury, violence, and hate that may provoke feuds that can go on for centuries.
Callan and Madison have a story that makes you feel so many different emotions. There were times when I wanted to scream. Times when I wanted to cry. Times when I needed a cool drink because what I had read had been majorly hot!!
Callan is not a good man. He has done a lot of bad things in his life. Callan is a man that doesn’t love, or so he thought.
Callan also knows what he likes in the bedroom, and it takes a strong woman to be able to handle it.
Madison is a young woman trying to find her way in life. She has a powerful father and a “perfect” fake boyfriend. Madison also has secrets. Secrets few people know. Secrets that she keeps to herself.
Callan and Madison are like oil and water. But in their case, the oil starts to mix into the water. The water starts to dilute the oil, weakening it.
“She’s stealing my fucking breath, and I’m fucked because I want to give it to her.”
Dani did an amazing job in this book showing the push and pull between Callan and Madison. This isn’t a fairy-tale romance. This isn’t a sweet, loving read. This book has heart and soul. It has love and hate.
I can not wait to go back and read the first 3 books of this series!
Another must read by Dani Rene….
Ruthless is hot alpha male meets a beautiful younger woman that is hiding her true self …. can they find their happy ever after ?
Well u will have to buy Ruthless to find out. While ur at it buy the rest of this amazing series u won’t regret it !
So I’ve got a bit of a dilemma with this one; as much as I did enjoy “Ruthless” there were also some major red flags here that brought this story down from what would have been a five star read; to a four star one.
Don’t mistake them this is an excellent piece of fiction, and I stress fiction as there may be some major triggers in this takes no prisoners tale; This is raw graphic and violent at times and does feature; (view spoiler) Which I’m only disclosing in case this is a cause for concern for some; I really don’t want to spoil this story for others but just thought the reader should be aware in case of actual triggers.
And on a side-note here I was extremely bemused and somewhat astounded that this is then not discussed or visited upon in any shape or form further.
I mean like zero mention; whats with that; I found this fact slightly shocking.
But moving on from that I still rated this four stars despite reservations because of A) This was fabulously written; that is one thing this book cannot be faulted on; the writing style used here was warm and inviting and had a style that was just so easy to relate and get sucked in by.
And B) despite Callan being a complete tosser at times I also really liked the way his broken psyche complemented and connected to Madi’s almost completing a jigsaw of jaggedness.
Their pieces just fit together so nicely; two broken halves of a whole.
Alone they were surviving, but as a pair, they were not fixed but their imperfect parts acted almost like a glue.
Loved the fact that both Madison and Callan were slightly defective in nature: I’m a big sucker for disjointed Love stories and this certainly did tick all my boxes in that department.
My other major red flag and it is more of a personal preference than anything else: I don’t like either my H or h to be either pursuing or engaging in relations or sexual antics; EVEN IF IT’S NOT ACTUAL SEX!!!; I still don’t like it; with anyone else.
It just spoils it for me and while this book was not as bad as the previous in series I’m not sure as much as I did enjoy this; If I want to continue; If this is going to become a pattern in the “Sins Of Seven” series then I think I’m out.
This was written in dual POV my favourite and I easily read it in one sitting.
It was extremely graphic in terms of language and I must admit I did adore that about it.
Callan is one dirty boy or should I say man as I think he’s thirty-seven here and Madison is twenty-one; so a bit of an age gap there: which is also my bag; love an age-gap.
This is the second of this series I’ve read and I did prefer this one over “Indulge”.
What else?
There were only a few side characters here; the majority of the action is between Callan and Madi.
Oh, and on a final note we have two excellent epilogues one from Madi’s POV and the other from Callan’s; that was a nice touch.
So that’s it folks; this was a well written engaging book that I had some slight issues with at times but I still did really enjoy.
I’ll leave the ball in your court now. It all really depends on your own personal boundaries.
Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC of “Ruthless” of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
As we have come to expect from this series Suspense and Angst in spades
Callan is definitely Ruthless and a whole lot more – Out of all the male leads in this series thus far I would have to say he stands by himself in a very dark physical and psychological pool – I am not sure if I love him or loathe him
Madison for me was a solid female lead overall, at times I do wish she would have spoken up sooner or made her feelings clearer -though I admire her backbone and the fact she decided what she wanted and went for it
As for the supporting cast .. Loathed -absolutely loathed most of the men in Madison’s life. As for the out of control deliciously sinful men of the club, I can only say I look forward to the next book with bells on my 00.
This one is a bit on the darker side than the previous ones just an FYI
