Welcome to their kingdom. Cole Covington is the most popular heartbreaker at school.Every guy wants to be him and every girl wants to screw him.Except me. His devastatingly good looks, golden arm, and flirty smiles don’t do it for me anymore…because I know what’s lurking underneath the star quarterback’s gorgeous armor. At least I thought I did.Sometimes the most beautiful people…hide the … I did.
Sometimes the most beautiful people…hide the ugliest truths.
And sometimes the only way to save someone…
is to walk beside them through hell.
Sawyer Church is the bible-thumping nerd of Royal Hearts Academy.
Girls pick on her and guys don’t notice her.
Except me.
Sweet, curvy, and sarcastic, she’s impossible to ignore.
No matter how much I try.
Everyone at school has her pegged as the chubby, Jesus loving geek, but unlike them—Sawyer’s real and never pretends to be someone she’s not.
Until I ask her to be my fake girlfriend.
Sometimes the most beautiful souls…hide the greatest pain.
And sometimes the only way to save someone…
is to fight for them.
This is book 2 in the Royal Hearts Academy series. Please note: Although this is Cole and Sawyer’s book, Cruel Prince (Jace and Dylan’s book) should be read first for a better understanding of the family dynamic.
WARNING: Royal Hearts Academy is a New Adult/High School series of standalones filled with drama, a touch of angst, and boys who are bad to the bone. The characters are flawed. If you’re looking for a safe, sweet romance with nice heroes and heroines who are perfect all the time, this series is NOT for you.

Omg holy shit Ashley Jade you absolutely did it again words cant describe how I want to review this book I was so emotional after reading this book I have to say even tho he is an asshole Cole is by far my favorite of the brothers hands down everything about this book was amaing I cried I laughed and I wanted to strangle Cole but in the end I absolutely love him so much more then before thank you Ashley Jade for another amazing book I couldn’t put down cant wait for more
You know when you start a book and with the first paragraph, you are completely invested? Well, that is how I feel about this book. It is complete and utter brilliance. After reading Cruel Prince, I was hoping there would be a story about Cole and Sawyer, and this author delivered it in spades. If we could give books more than five stars, I would, but there aren’t enough stars to fully show how epic this story is. Cole is an arrogant, jock, football player who has had some things happen in the past that makes him the way he is. But as you read, you detect there is so much more to his character, that deep down he has goodness in his heart, but just doesn’t show it. So when Sawyer comes along, he’s not quite sure how to handle the nerdy church girl with the big heart. Her character is perfect in so many ways and you can’t help but love everything about her. Not to mention that so many young women can relate to her which makes her even that more endearing. The interactions between Cole and Sawyer, at times, made me laugh out loud! And not to mention that their chemistry is just chart topping, while polar opposites, they just mesh so well! Another thing is this author touched on many sensitive subjects and handled them with kindness and respect. I will warn you, that you will need a tissue or two or three, but to me, that is the sign of a great book. When a story gets me all kinds of emotional, whether from happiness or sadness, I know it will be a phenomenal read. I truly didn’t want their story to ever end and once you read it, you will understand where I’m coming from.
How I missed these kids! Cole was everything I was hoping for and Sawyer was a sweet as pie. Opposites attracting is a theme that I am drawn to and this author hit it out of the park. This book was honestly so much more then I was expecting it to be. It was deep and eye opening and while some scenes made me ball like a baby, I rooted for these characters to come out on top.
The author touches on a few touchy subejects and did it with class. We see Sawyer battle her demons and while it was a long road she came out on top. I lobe that Cole was a rock for her. At the start you wonder when he stops being a jerk and becomes the man we all know he can be and he did and it it stuck.
Oakley was amazing! I can’t help but love his craziness and just no filter attitude but he also gave us a deeper look at him and I feel in love. I was surprised with Bianca in this book. I think I was able to understand her more and can’t wait for her book. I have a feeling it will be the best one yet.
As a whole this book wedged it’s self in my heart and drained me of all emotions. The author wrote a beautiful book, made it huge, and shared it with the world. I have loved all her books but there’s something deep about Cole and Sawyers book that will make this my favorite yet. I can’t wait to see what will come next. 5 stars #2OCCJD
This book was beyond perfection!!!! Ashley Jade does what she always does, and hits a grand slam home run!!!! Five stars damn sure isn’t enough for any of her books, and it isn’t enough for Ruthless Knight either!!!!! ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!!!!
