Work weekend in Vegas. It was great until I was mistaken for a call girl. I’m in a business suit and my buttons are to my neck. And the guy… turns out he’s Jacob. My actual client. Except I’m on team #ReformtheBadBoy. It’s why I was hired. Now I had to convince Jacob my well thought out ad plan was what he needed. But he believes he knows best and a good wife will solve all his problems. And the … all his problems.
And the worst part, he offered me the job.
I should probably say no, but his kisses are electrifying and the paycheck he offers will make my own dreams come true.
Besides a walk on the wild side was probably way overdue for me. I’ve never wanted to be a #Bride or #Wife, but with Jacob, the offer of a ring, a ring, and how Jacob sees through me… I’m starting to believe in happily-ever-after.
However our agreement is a business deal. This isn’t a kiss and fade to black knowing we’re destined to be together where we dated and he proposed.
So Jacob can set my soul on fire when he’s unintentionally charming. I need to be smart.
Do I cut and run or do I stay and find out what happens next? Because honestly I never expected any of it.

Ruthless Financier by Victoria Pinder is a contemporary romance. It’s the third book from the Steele series.
Indigo Steel didn’t believe in love or marriage because of her mother. Her only worries except for taking care of her family was her
job and her mother’s shelters. Currently, she was working in an advertising company and she was in Vegas to meet with a client. She had
to close the deal in order to be the next CEO. Jacob B. Donovan had accidentally involved in a scandal that cost him a lot of investors.
In order to earn their trust again, he had to find a wife so he could appear more stable. Once he saw Indigo he knew she was the only one.
Jacob made her a really good proposal and explained his plan after much thought she accepted and they had their wedding. Nothing went as
planned, his revenge didn’t work out as well and their marriage/business deal almost ended before it began. Their unexpected feelings
confused them and drove them apart but surprisingly they were both good at groveling.
It’s a really nice romantic story about a ruthless businessman and a hard-working girl. The plot was good and entertaining. I like that in
every book in the Steele series they show how important is family, even if they are not blood-related. The story progressed smoothly with
no drama and a few intense romantic scenes. The characters were good as well. Indigo was a stubborn and hard working person who had goals
that she wasn’t going to give up. Jacob was presented as ruthless at first but he was a sweetheart that he craved the love of a family.
I didn’t feel their sexual chemistry but they fit well together.
In conclusion, it’s a good book perfect for all ages. I will rate it with 3.5 stars.
This was an absolutely fantastic book. The characters are well developed and engaging. They are easy to love and the storyline flows smoothly. I read this book in one sitting! Highly recommend read! Check it out. I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance reader copy of the book from the author.
I really enjoyed Jacob and Indigo’s romance in this story as Jacob needed a temporary wife to help with his most important project to date. Indigo is set to win the account of a ruthless financier when she accidentally meets Jacob. When she later realizes who he is, she is unexpectedly interested in his proposal. This book was funny, romantic, sexy and really easy to read. There is talk of women’s shelter and all that entails if that is a trigger point for some people.
Strong Emphasis On Family Values – 4.5 stars
As usual Ms. Pinder delivers a good romantic story to entertain her readers with. The characterizations were well fleshed out and easily discerned from one another. The strong message that I took away after reading this novel was the utter importance of family with strong connections, support and love. It was good to see a couple of characters from other books in this story. Good Stuff!
I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this novel from the author and I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.
I had a great time reading this well written book. The characters are amazingly developed and engaging and the storyline flows smoothly.
I received a free copy for my honest and voluntary review.
Great characters that are both strong and independent. I love how for a “fake marriage” fake relationship he really goes out of his way to help her family and be involved.
Another must read by Victoria Pinder.
Can the hero persuade the heroine he’s serious?…
The story has been covered by the blurb & previous reviews. I always do a happy dance when I get a new arc from this fabulous author. She consistently delivers well crafted, detailed page turners with great dialogue, compelling characters & some sizzle. Once again she did not disappoint. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
4.5 ***** stars. He rubs elbows with the richest men in the world, but he needs a wife to show he has settled down in order to topple his father’s business. She was looking for his PR business but will walk away a wealthy woman if she accepts his proposal. She is very independent and business saavy as she rescues him in some tight corners. He has only had one goal in his life and doesn’t know what he will do when he meets it. Nicely written and interesting repartee between them. What will happen when the marriage in name only blows up with feelings? The writing in the Steel series is a nice change from the others.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
This is the third book in Victoria Pinder’s Steel series and is the story of Indigo and Jacob. She is working toward owning her own PR firm and is set to help Jacob, a billionaire with a large PR problem. Instead of allowing Indigo to make her sales pitch, Jacob counters with an offer of marriage between them. They draw up a contract that is mutually beneficial to each party and take the plunge.
There are some tense moments at they navigate the marriage. Can Indigo and Jacob learn to trust each other? When a monkey wrench is thrown into Jacob’s plans, will he be able to cope? Or is he and Indigo’s marriage doomed to fail?
I enjoyed this book for its entertainment value. During this time of COVID-19 pandemic this book did not raise the angst level and the sex scenes were fairly low key, not scorching but a cozy warmth. Some graphic language is used and the bedroom door is open, but overall a very nice balance of romance and heat. 4 1/2 stars.
Amazing story. Indigo is a force to be reckoned with yet terribly broken from trauma related to her loving parents during her youth. Jacob is her equal is pretty much every way. The harder they work to make the business deal a success, the messier their relationship turns until eventually they must both face their own demons.
I received a copy of this book as a gift. This is my honest review.
This is the third book in the Steele series. It all started with a work weekend in Vegas when I met Jacob who was actually my client. Jake and Indigo’s story is one you don’t want to miss. A great read and one that’s hard to put down once you start. She’s a great PR person and she always puts her clients interest first and she was willing to do almost anything to help her clients image and career. But that didn’t usually include marriage. Lots of twists, some surprises and finally an HEA. Victoria doesn’t disappoint and this is a great addition to the Steele family I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review.
I enjoyed this book so much as the author did such great story line that you thought you know the characters would read more of this author again.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Great book!!! This is #3 in the book series. Ms Pinder brought it to the table and served it up hot and steamy style. Fake marriage agreement so that both parties get what they want out of the arrangement. Jacob and Indigo story is off the charts. You have your drama, trust issues, and two souls that were made for each other. This story is one of those story that you want to know what happen but can’t seem to put the book down so that you can get anything accomplished. I really enjoyed their story that started with a PR problem
